Dublin hotels in Ballsbridge

Pros: The staff—Ceclia, Owen, Tracy, Luisz and others—were friendly and always helpful. The breakfast offerings were wonderful, served with friendly grace and style by Dalva, Lidija, and Allesandra. I’ll be honest: we attended a wedding at the Mount Juliet near Thomastown, and the food was better at Ariel House. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Located in the quiet suburb of Ballsbridge, Ariel House is convenient to the DART and the Aviva Stadium, and there are some nice restaurants nearby, notably the Old Spot and the Lobster Pot. (At the latter, Michael Garlant will serve you with old-world elegance and 21st Century friendliness and wit.) Wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll be back.

Pros: Room very big, clean, quiet. Nice location

Cons: Staff were all very nice, but seemed like they needed training, particularly in the restaurant. Often no one attending the lobby, at check in, or concierge. On check out, no-one asked how was the stay, and not even to-go coffee available (which is almost standard expectation these days, even in lower quality hotels). Tried calling room service & was told they would call me back, after 10 mins I called them back to say don't bother. Breakfast is really expensive, supposed to start at 7am .. I wanted an omlette ... Was told by waitress that I needed "to ask the omlette guy" at the buffet , he didn't show up til 720am. I asked him if I could have toast with the omlette, he said "you need to ask the waitress" ... It was more Fawlty Towers than Four Seasons

Pros: Rooms were huge, staff was totally on point, the indoor pool was an unexpected benefit. Bar is busy most times, it's fun to hang out at the hotel.

Cons: Location isn't ideal for tourists. It's a 30-45 walk from most major destinations, and cabs are pricey. Otherwise, stay was perfect.

Cons: Lighting in bathroom and by the bed in some rooms was completely inadequate. Also : Windows on the street on the lower floors need privacy curtains that will allow light to get through.

Pros: Great, boutique hotel with contemporary decor and excellent staff! Short walk from many shops, yet in a quiet residential neighborhood. LOVED it!

Cons: Make sure to let the bar tenders know you're a guest at the hotel otherwise they will tell you the bar is closed at an early hour.

Pros: Great recommendations for dinner. Friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: In one word: impeccable. The hotel was a beautiful as described, the staff was 10 our of 10. If I ever go back, I will definitely stay there again.

Cons: the roll away beds were lacking in much needed comfort. and the menu was a bit short so we didn't eat there but once.

Pros: Quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown and all the tourist destinations. Big bathroom, updated room

Pros: Spent just a night here, traveling onward. We had dinner in the hotel, as we were tired out. We were surprised to find that the food was good, the service warm and efficient, and the setting congenial. Our room was large, and the bathroom w great.

Pros: Everything was OK but only OK. Some staff really smiley & helpful. For price & situation I would stay again.

Cons: The rabbit warren of corridors. Uncomfortable & squeaky bed. Some staff not really engaging with their customers.

Pros: Exceedingly nice staff, utterly helpful and unfailingly cheerful. Accommodations were comfortable and clean and aimed to please. I highly recommend adding the breakfast voucher. The food and service were terrific. I can’t commend the staff enough, they made my stay pleasant and friendly. Close to a DART station stop and a lovely village center, both within easy walking distance. And it was very affordable for all that.

Pros: The staff were really amazing - very friendly and helpful. I'm notoriously bad with directions, but they patiently helped me map out routes to the city, but stops, etc. The room was perfect for my needs - just enough room and very clean. Beautiful sunlight filled the room (when it wasn't overcast outside). The room service portions were very generous and the food was excellent. The portions were a bit too large for me, but could have easily been shared between two people. Very convenient location. Quiet residential/business location.

Cons: Walls seemed paper-thin, but I think that's because of the age of the building. I don't think there's really anything that could be done for that - it wasn't really a bother. Maybe I just didn't walk around enough, but it didn't seem like there was very much to do (for a business tourist, anyway) in the immediate area. The Internet cut out frequently in my room. These are just very minor complaints, though. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend the hotel to anyone who is seeking a comfortable, clean, convenient location for Dublin travel.
