I LOVE THE SHELBOURNE
1st they are SO ACCOMODATING. Thanks to guest services, concierge DENNIS :-0 and the crew plus the front door attendants, managers, housekeeping are all amazing. Guest Service Rep came to greet us and had the goats milk avail for my daughter. In the USA we can only purchase at select store and did not realize it was more common to have in Dublin. We have made Dublin-the Shelbourne as our #1 headquarters. The quality of our stay, the fact they have vetted services for a nanny, great food, amazing polite service from all departments simply speaks volumes. Mr. Hanley and his staff at this fine establishment continue to amaze me. I really appreciate the peace of mind they bring to me and my little 1 and 2 year old children each visit. We surely feel special and love the amazing spacious rooms. THANK YOU ALL!! See you again next year.
I have only positive things to communicate. They can keep up the great work. Great food options, great concierge, guest services, housekeeping, food services.....blessings to you all!
Perfect location. Better for business or couples.
Location is perfect but a bit overpriced for what you get. Room was a nice size and staff was very friendly. I think it is better without kids.
Overpriced a bit for what you get. Had to call to have room made up after being out from 9:30-3:0 during the day... I guess someone just forgot.
The staff was incredibly accommodating and pleasant.
When I arrived at 10AM, there was no room ready (understandable), but when I returned in the afternoon, I was shown to a room with a worker working on scaffolding directly outside my window. The second room was fine, but I was disappointed that the clerk had initially no problem assuming he could leave us in a room where we could all wave to a worker!
It was a gorgeous hotel - the breakfast was a bit pricey but it was lovely
Breakfast was insanely good, the best part of our stay.
Nothing. I have stayed in better b&bs!!!
the feeling of luxury, excellent service from all of the staff, reception staff were very professional as were porters
bar prices are a little on the high side.. Thats dublin i suppose
Lovely staff, very beautiful building.
There was no complimentary water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was very annoying. We have to queue to get into the restaurant for breakfast - first time I've ever had to queue in a hotel for breakfast and did not expect this from a 5 * hotel.
Excellent staff . relaxing atmosphere. Superior service
Breakfast at €29(orange juice and cereal) for a 12 yr old is way too pricey!
excellent service, excellent staff, luxurious room - Fantastic hotel.
The quality of the food was the best in the world and so were the staff especially Helen we just loved it.
Everything was perfect
Friendly helpful staff, beautiful room!!!!!, Worth every penny!!!!!
No
The fact that it was luxury hotel, we only stayed the one night so we didn't have much time at the hotel, we were going to a concert.
One thing when we arrived, the hotel didn't seem to have our booking which you should have confirmed with them, its not the fact that this was not done by yourselves, but the fact was, what if they did not have a room for us, but luckily they did, so we were disappointed in your service.. You will have to take that up with the hotel themselves in this matter. They said that our booking reference was not from their website & that we should have confirmed this ourselves, but why should we if we have it down in black & white that it was confirmed by booking.com
Staff, atmosphere, attention to detail
they took payment for our room 3 days prior to staying there, i thought my Credit card was only for holding the room as I wished to settle my a.c in cash
staff were excellent, very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a huge choice on offer. Overall service was excellent.
