A convenient quiet location near Dart station – quick connection to city centre. Very elegant decor. Nice bathroom with good shower. Pleasant staff at reception.
The room felt a bit cramped: no space to place big suitcase so that it wouldn't obstruct movement, no hooks for jackets, just a small closet with a few hangers.
The facilities were nice and comfortable. Everything was very clean when we arrived and staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location is a bit far. So expect to walk. My room was missing a few things, like the TV remote or a phone in the room. The staff corrected it quickly. Just weird to see that stuff missing.
Lovely quaint Victorian style. After the first night we got moved to the spacious type of room we had booked with a beautiful 4 poster bed. We were given discount and free breakfast as compensation for the original room mix up. The breakfast staff were so lovely and helpful and friendly. Breakfast was pretty good and they were more than willing to bring it to our room for no extra charge when one of us was unwell on one of the mornings. We were able to get parked in the driveway directly in front of the house. It is a beautiful, well-kept, clean, very large house with a lovely lounge and lovely balcony area. We are fairly young and enjoyed playing with the old wooden chess set and looking at the old books and the feeling of living Victorian style. It was fun. Overall the hotel felt very chill.
Got given a lesser room at first than what i had booked. It was a bit cramped with no toilet paper and the toilet seat came right off. The walls are quite thin and the floorboards creak quite badly. Staff seemed to not all be on the same page with different receptionists saying different things which was a little confusing. Was a beautiful sunny day but it was a lot longer walk into Dublin than we thought or were told and the Dublinbikes seemed too far. Would definitely take the DART another time as the station is across the road. Would have preferred more discussion and helpful suggestions as to what to do and clearer directions.
Night porter very friendly and informative.
Parking not great
Staff very friendly and quality of cooked breakfast was excellent
Very noisy due to being on a main road. Bathroom not in good condition (needs a complete overhaul). Shower ran out of hot water in the morning.
