I was very upset with Underpricer, Cathay Pacific and Kayak! After spending numerous hours on phone and texting on WhatsApp to get seating secured for myself and my Sister only to find out hours before my flight that our seats had been canceled and we wound up in the last row in back of the plane adjacent to toilet! Airline claims travel agent canceled out seats!?!? Out tickets were purchased in April.
Flight was delayed due to air traffic control and technical issues - power outage happened several time during taxiing in Taipei causing further delay for urgent technical check.
The morning in Hong Kong was ridiculous. Very chaotic. The flight was delayed. Missed connecting flights. Kathy should be more competent in getting the planes ready ahead of time so that flights can depart on time.. totally ridiculous and unnecessary. Very poor performance.
Flew from lax economy on cathay 777. Seat configuration 3-4-3. When the forward seat reclines it feels like someone is leaning forward and staring you. If you are slightly big tray tables will touch your abdomen even with seats upright. AVOID this above 777 configuration at all cost for a long flight. However their Airbus 350 3-3-3 configuration felt spacious and Seats wider.
Great entertainment system, the seat is a bit old style needs refurbishment
Unfortunately I ended up beside a person who seemed to have been eating rotten corpses before landing because his breath smelled like Calcutta Sewage mixed with vodka and undigested eggs. Even wearing a mask that smell was so permeating that I couldn't breathe for the whole duration of the flight. I understand this is not CATHAY's fault but nevertheless I as a passenger had to endure this and there wasn't any way to fix it
I booked Flexi ticket, Paid extra for extra legroom seat. What I got was worst ever place to sit. It was an emergency exit seat with lots of legroom but half of the seat was occupied with aircraft body. Means you don’t keep that seat where a passenger can’t sit. The seats are too narrow. Whole night I was awake. Not movable armrests. One of the worst.
There is very little in the title" Premium" in the Economy experience with Cathay, Melbourne to Hong Kong. The seats are uncomfortable and the cabin with outdated 1990's decor and trim. The food service was sloppy and the leg room providing little to no advantage over regular economy seating. Infact, the Sunday flight was not fill occupancy and I would have done better saving the significant additional costs for the PREMIUM ticket and taken advantage of the seating. If you are a regular premium economy traveler of EMIRATES expecting the same experience on CATHAY, you will be disappointed. Emirates far superior.
Bad experience. Departure time delayed from 1610 to 1740. After the flight was pushed back, pilot said there was a technical issue on the aircraft and we couldn’t take off. Delayed another hour to solve it.
Very comfortable flights. Not so many new releases in terms of films.
