Ground staff was waiting for me with a small car after I disembarked to drive me to the gate. And I somehow made my connection. Excellent service. Obviously my checked bag didn't make it, but I was told in advance and was kept updated before boarding and immediate after I disembarked at my final destination. When I went to the baggage service counter, they were already ready for me, had filled out my paperwork, and just needed an address to confirm the delivery of my suitcase. I'm super impressed to this attention to detail."

Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

Long queues 3 x 3 seating arrangement is hopeless for 5 hour journey as person at window needs to disturb both middle and aisle seat holder."

Seems to be a pattern with Malaysian Airways and I will avoid them in the future, Also, I left my Ipad plugged in at the Premier Lounge in Denpasar and realized it as I was boarding the plane. The Malaysian Air boarding staff got on radios and appeared to try to help by telling them to put aside for pick up upon my return. Yesterday, The Premiere lounge said they did not have it despite my name, email and phone number being written on the Ipad. Between Malaysian Air and the Lounge and their lack of concern and professionalism it was not a good trip. As One World Emerald member, I steer a lot of business towards these One World Airlines. I expect better treatment."

They were not clear, hesitate, call around. By the time they found out what is required, we already spent close to 90 minutes. If it is not due to flight delay, we left with very little time to clear the immigration, security screening and locate where the gate is."

Cons: "Crew wasn't rude but wasn't overly friendly. They seemed responsive. A bit stingy on the drinks (I only had water and each time got only 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup). We pre-ordered vegetarian meals and they did supply them, but they got the orders wrong (we ordered different types of meals and only got one type). The biggest issue is the layover. China Eastern does not supply a hotel for long layovers. We applied from their website beforehand, but they canceled the hotel program. They did supply vouchers for food which was nice, but in Terminal 1 there is no resting lounge to lie down or clean up in, except for the VIP lounges which we didn't have access to."

Shanghai Pudong Airport is a horrible airport and the day we were there they were not letting anyone out of the airport that has less than 24 hours between flights. We had to sit in that horrible airport with no wifi for 12 hours! Miserable!"

The passengers waited seating in the plane for more than 3 hours not knowing the reason of the delay nor when will it take off. There were no choice of meal. The meal was very basic and was with too authentic flavor and material. Rice was undercooked and compressed in rectangular shape probably by food producing machine. No individual grains can be seen. There were no individual monitors or entertainment available, but understandable, considering that it is a two and a half hour flight."

Pros: "I recently flew business class from shanghai to moscow with china eastern airlines. About the only thing that was good about this flight was the price and the flight arrived on time. The cabin crew was also very attentive. This airline needs to seriously reconsider catching up with modern times."
Cons: "Took code share Shanghai airlines to moscow. When the plane pulled up it was nice and shiny with brand new paint job. But that's where the good impression ended. Once on board I found myself on what was probably one of the oldest 767's I've ever flown on. And whats worst, it looked liked this plane had never been cleaned. Not from the day before, but since new! Totally disgusting. Old style reclining seats(no lay flat). Shockingly no entertainment system. Almost all carriers have TV in coach now!! Food was below average at best. But the worst part were the pilots.....because I was sitting in business class there was a constant smell of cigarette smoke wafting through the cabin from the pilots who were smoking in the cockpit. That was fine in the 70's, but this is 2016!! I guess I can't complain. As the saying goes....you get what you pay for. As for next time, I will stay out of the Wild West known as China Eastern airlines and away from their arrogant pilots who thinking smoking is ok in flight and shell out a couple extra bucks to fly with a proper carrier that respects their customers!!"
Pros: "My staff and crew in Chicago were very friendly and helpful. Once entering Pudong airport I had a very different experience."
Cons: "Upon arrival I had to exit the terminal, get my bags and proceed to recheck everything in. I have never had to do that before on a connecting flight and feel it would have made much more sense to give me both boarding tickets in Chicago. The line to re check in was extremely long and confusing. I was told at the counter due to the wait I missed my flight and would have to speak with a manager. When I waited again in line to speak with a manager they told me I didn't miss my flight and to go back to the end of the original line. After waiting again, and speaking with a very rude desk attendent, I waited at the gate an hour past our boarding time and at the last minute our gate was switched with very little warning. There was no information for the flights on the board and most of the time I wasn't even sure where my flight was located. When I spoke with the attendant she would just tell me "in a few minutes." This was before I waited the hour and then switched gates and waited another 45 minutes."
