We came back from Europe and needed to take a domestic flight to Palmerston North.We had a lot of handluggage that was allowed in our international flight, we had purchased an extra suitcase ticket to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. The lady that helped us was not willing to include any more items than 1 small suitcase that weighed only 11 kg, but we had paid for 23 kg. When we wanted to board the airplane we were told we could only take 7 kg each. Which caused problems and stress that we couldn't use after a 40-hour flight from Europe. We discussed this with the lady at the counter which wasn't really helpful to start with, but eventually, she let us board the plane anyway after we had to explain our situation a few times, and after she asked us to weigh our extra items, which of course we're more than 7 kg. We were pleased that at least she let us board our plane in the end. Hopefully next time we won't encounter the same problems."

Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

So I pressed the button again. IT showed that I had already pressed the button. So I kept waiting. But then no one ever came for me the 9 hours until it was time for the meal before getting off. Sitting straight sleeping was a really terrible experience!"

I was observing and trying to get some information on what is happening or reason for our delayed flight but to no avail. The captain's explanation makes no sense. With a 3 hour delay, I knew and felt that It would not be a great ride because right from the very start it already started wrong. I was already stressed out from the very beginning even though i saw in the cabin crew's effort and super great service towards especially to our older passengers their dedication and passion to serve. I was really looking forward to this flight but I guess this was one of those days that all you could do is close your eyes and stretch your patience. One other bad experience was getting on Terminal 1. Great improvement but it could be still better. Can't connect to Wifi (its asking me my number on the US when I did not sign up for roaming and for sure will not be able to get the code that they will send on my number) Last year was better, just log on and boom! Impressively lightning wifi speed connection. No questions or log ins and you can safely assure and text your relatives waiting patiently outside that you are there waiting. I just wished we went to Terminal 2 instead. But I guessed it will also be the same because everything started on a bad start with that 3hour delay. They were lucky most of the passengers were excited to be home and sleeping!"

Pros: "I flew PAL 2 years ago and was impressed on this flight home. An awesome added feature that blew me and my 10 year old daughter away was the entertainment! My daughter is afraid of flying. But as soon as we boarded and saw this feature, she completely forgot about her fear. She was so pre-occupied during entire flight to Manila that I was able to relax and enjoy the trip myself. There was a great selection of movies available that almost made me wish the flight was longer so I could watch more! The USB charging option was also a neat feature to have. I could easily charge our phones throughout the flight. I was also impressed with how well staffed the crew was. There was always a crew member going up and down the aisle with water and offering assistance in any way possible. Overall I am happy with the flight. PAL has made the trip home easier, more pleasurable and most importantly closer than ever before. Thank you PAL!"

Delays ranged from 30 minutes to 75 minutes and all four flight delays were reported to be due to delays in getting baggage on the planes or getting the meals loaded on the planes according to the pilot's reports. Of note, on all four flights, the crew ran out of food before getting to our isle and had only one option remaining with no alternatives for those allergic to any portion of the meal. I would absolutely never recommend Philippine Airlines to anyone. The reduced cost of tickets was absolutely not worth the experience."

Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else."

I showed them my boarding pass from less than 48 hrs before on the same airline... they looked bewildered. Boarding was the usual "every man for himself". Zones? Classes? Awards members? Not in Shenzhen..."

I can understand he is upset but that's his fault. So he's trying every possible yo upset the person sat next to him. He even put his leg under my seat. I had to kick him back. Struggling for twelve hours. Terrible! One of the flight attendant is so rude. The guy sat in front of me didn't pull his shade and she wouldn't dare to wake him up since he is a white guy. So she woke me up to tell me to reach to his window(yes, reach since the window wasn't in between our seats). I am not a Chinese but Asian. You can tell the difference between they treat White and color. Very unpleasant flight. We choose them since we need to go to Bangkok after visit Shanghai. And their flight schedule fits better than others. However the over all food and service is below expectations."

The food served made me wish that I had bought take-out food for 3-meals prior to my boarding. the quantity of food was inadequate for the long flight as well. 1 extra snack would have been appreciated. I will likely book my future trans-Pacific flights with another airline."

I am currently stuck in New York with no money for a return flight, and will possibly lose my job. I am extremely shocked that they would do that. I will NEVER recommend or fly with them again."

They should pay us a cancellation fee like they charge us when we cancel. Incurred additional expense getting to Manchester, NH. Not happy with United."
