You need to drop off the baggage back to Qantas after clearing Customs in Sydney. Unfortunately Qantas makes you walk quite a long distance to to baggage drop off point. The experience made me think of experiences I have had in developing countries. I expected more thoughtful logistical arrangements from Qantas in Australia."

I was severely dissapointed to find that your economy seats, now, are even smaller than the Chinese seats we regularly fly (we are in our 5th year of ex-pat assignment in China). You should have seen the look on my kids faces. Evidently, i must have "talked Quantas up too much", because there was a great deal of dissapointment. We will travel back to NZ and Aus., this fall, but will no longer prioritize Quantas as our airline of choise. I guess times change, and a little bit of nastalgia lost.... :("

As a customer I naturally expect I can get the same service from JETStar as Qantas.However I had to check out my heavy luggage at Sydney Airport, get a shuttle bus paying money and check in again at JETStar. The JETStar staff at the airport was not helpful at all! On the contrary she BLUNTLY told me JETStar is a different company from QANTAS. That's all. At Hobart Airport I was BLUNTLY told again I had to get my luggage at Melbourne Airport and check in again because they didn't have facility to forward the luggage to Qantas. I understand Qantas and JETStar are allied airlines and so they should give the same service as any other allied airlines. I need good explanation about these poor service from JETStar and Qantas. Thank you ."

Cons: "Port for headphones only had sound in one ear. Multiple headphones tried with same problem (this was actually on my flight TO Australia from LA. Same complaint as above with overweight customers. Terrible transition at LA. Had to de-board plane, get luggage, be re-routed through the airport with poor communication to passengers about where luggage would be and whether or not we even needed to get it. Since we got right back on the same plane why take us off WITH our luggage only to reboard. The whole process was an exercise in frustration."

I was call back out of the line and the booking agent was having a conversation with someone and said that I was in the standby list two times and did they want to allow me on the plane. Nevertheless, they made the decision to allow me to board the plane."

Pros: "1st class care from chief steward John. I travelled with a sick child and was given 110% service that included an upgrade, pedialyte and O2 for my child, and regular "checks" on us. Absolutely outstanding service!!"
Cons: "We were originally seated next to a huge (300lb?) passenger, who "overflowed" onto my seat (requiring 2 seatbelts to secure her). (The person in front of her couldn't recline her seat fully or she would have crushed her stomach!)"

I'm a DVT patient[got it a couple of years ago while flying back from China - didn't move during the entire flight] and need to move frequently and need legroom to stretch out my legs as much as possible when sitting. Anyway, having informed a crew member about my DVT condition, I asked if I could move in the empty area - mind you, that was after plane door was closed and boarding had been completed. She refused only to give after takeoff the area to a lady with a little dog in her purse. This flight was operated by United. Our household will from now on avoid any flight that's operated by United."

On July the flight was schedule for 9...pm then delayed for two hours because of a fire, other passengers said, in London. At around 11pm, we were asked to line up for boarding. We stayed on line for an hour and fnally to be told the flight was cancelled. We were treated less than animals by British Airway. No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!!! No ACCOMODATION!!!!!!! We slept on benches at the airport. To be fair to you, I will not recommend British Airway to anyone."

He this was our seventh plane ride in two weeks and nobody else has given us a problem.. After 10 days on the Camino DeSantiago the extra stress was not welcome.. Also short trip with the no there for each service was disappointing. Didn’t see a whole lot of the crew. It was if they were taking a break the entire time."

After we landed the plane came to a sudden stop and the Captain told us the lights to guide us to the appropriate place were not working this was a long delay. When we got to the disembarking area we had another long wait and the reason was due to the bridge not working,eventually we went out the back of the plane. The most unbelievable problem was the announcement just before take off that both rear toilets were out of action,since the flight was late this was an issue and I do not believe that both toilets could be broken more likely that there was no person available to clean them."

Pros: "BA couldn't get our boarding passes to work no matter how many times they printed out new ones and we had to land into proper arrivals (though we were in transit in Heathrow) and tell five different groups of staff what was going on, even though it wasn't our problem but their computer glitch. One man at security was even rude to me, telling me not to just stand there. ( I had been told to stand there whilst they went and tried to remedy for the umpteenth time). When I showed him my disabled badge and said I would personally prefer NOT to be left standing for hours, he said 'so?'. It was a nightmare. It took hours and still wasn't sorted and in the end the immigration officers had to be called to the boarding area to allow us on the flight with non functioning boarding cards. It wasn't even our fault. REally upset about it."

Left a bit late but arrived pretty much on time. Baggage didn't arrive after a 2 hour transfer and this is the third time in four times over the past few years. I strongly do not recommend BA as a domestic UK connection after an international arrival."

The plane was also not updated at all - not personal entertainment and once again, no ac/air for people to control."
