What did seem different about SA compared to other airlines is that for some reason the seatbacks are very stiff and it's hard to recline your chair. Also, the entertainment system was a bit unreliable -- twice for some reason it rewound me more than an hour back in the movie I was watching (so I had to fast-forward to the place where I was)."

There was no room under the seat in front of me, to put it anywhere. It significantly reduced my comfort. The passengers sitting next to me also had no respect when they asked me to step aside and was rude in general. It made my mood worse throughout the flight but I hanged in there. It was okay."

When we got thru immigration in record time due to the newly installed kiosks, we waited for 2.5hours to get our luggage, there was only one carousel open for an entire A380 airplane with all its luggage and the boxes were piling up on each other, some of them were crushed due to overloading, it took them 2 hours to open a second carousel to offload all of the bags. During this entire time, the Emirates representatives were unhelpful, the local SFO personnel were quite disorganized as well."

And so many crying babies [thankful for volume control on headphones] but literally that was it - love flying Emirates cos on the whole felt super well treated..."

Cons: "Checkin associate at SFO was rude and told me that only light baggage is allowed in the plane during borading noticed several passengers with larger bags and sometime two bas as well. I was told I can only take one bag. This caused me to change my plans on what I can carry on my two small bags. This is also the reason why had to take a small handbag to keep everything I needed. I lost this bag at New Delhi airport. Had I been allowed the the standard tote and a laptop bag I may not have needed the extra hand bag and may not have lost my items. Emirates associate is partailly responsible for my lost items."

Many foreign carriers allow you to go online and manage your meals prior to your flight; vegan, kosher, low salt, Hindu, gluten free, etc. Business Class experience was much less than other airlines we've flown. Airbus aircraft are always seem on the "cheap" side to me."

Also we had never used the tray tables from the right arm rest before and needed help to get those up as well."

We were all waiting at the gate for half an hour but there were no Hawaiian Airline employees to help us. They started boarding people on the flight and we were just standing there at the gate with nobody to help us. Finally I ran over to the adjacent gate that was also run by Hawaiian and asked if they could help. Initially they told me to go back to the gate but I expressed my concern that our flight was already boarding and I needed a seat so they finally helped. The gentleman tried doing the same thing but came back saying "They yelled at me and told me to come back to this gate". This is so rude, unprofessional and disorganized. It certainly left me with a bad impression of Hawaiian Airlines, which is too bad because I will be traveling to Hawaii quite a bit this year."

Same thing happened on return flight but I was smart enough to call ahead and fix. but got bounced around on the phone to 3 people including tech support to confirm seats. Bery frustrating. Boarded us 30 minutes late, no one knew what row was called as could not hear the announcements. People were being sent to the back of the line. Complete chaos. Then the unprofessional gate crew told about 200 of us that the captain wanted to leave and the door would close in one minute so hurry up. Not a fan of the airline."

Pointing people to a single counter person to obtain a seat on a plane after the person has already been on a 9 hour Hawaiian flight is beyond disrespectful. It is cruel. It was close to a couple of months that I had purchased the ticket and I get on the Plane in Auckland only to find I would need to process through TSA yet another time in order to get to the counter and obtain my seat. 3 hours in a TSA line allowed 20 minutes to get to that counter. I also needed to find a private space to give myself my insulin. I do not do that in public bathrooms or even my own bathroom..... but it never happened because I stood in Customs line and then Imigration line and yet again the third TSA line. I think TSA held up over 200 of us because they went to lunch. He were stopped still with absolutely no progress for over an hour."
Cons: "You and all the other airlines need to work together and improve TSA. The counter person at Hawaiian in Honolulu was unprofessional and capricious. She preferred to service a huge dog rather than myself, even though it was my turn . She also answered a male who cut in line rather than the person next in line. She did not know what was available and did not show any compassion for international travelers. We were treated as cattle."

I asked flight attendant if they could check the air flow, and her answer was that the temperature was 23C and everyone one else had blankets. My concern was not with temperature but FLOW. SO I went to back cabin (6 rows back) and the airflow was much much better and I could actually sleep. So bottom line there is an airflow issue mid economy cabin on the central AC jets. They should address this by putting back in air nozzles or checking actual airflow on these jets. This is very uncomfortable on long flights. Not sure I would fly this jet again for this reason."

Pillow covers were filthy. There were body fluid stains and long hairs stuck to the covers. I went through and rejected four of them. Inflight service was good but there was an unwritten Cathay Pacific rule that I was not aware of.........each passenger is restricted to two alcohol beverage drinks in any one hour period."

He was climbing over seats, yelling at people, etc. My husband is a US Marshall, he finally got up and identified himself with his badge to the flight attendants and asked if they would like him to assist. He helped try and talk the crazy man down. So basically my husband was on guard for the whole flight, we couldn't sleep at all as he was watching and helping with the lunatic on the plane. When we landed, the police escorted the man off the flight and the head attendant said he would be placed on Cathay's "no fly list" I feel that Cathay should reimburse us for part of the flight due to the severity of the situation and the fact that my husband assisted the staff when he didn't have too! Again, not a way to spend your honeymoon flight having your husband have to work and not be able to relax and enjoy our time together."

I really appreciated her help! Despite the fact that everyone was clearly busy, they were always responsive to passengers' needs and requests in a positive way."
Cons: "The boarding process was simply awful. I fly internationally often, and this was probably the second worst process I've been through. The gate was roped off until the boarding time but there were no other instructions or anywhere to get questions answered until boarding time. Despite the fact that the gate was closed to passengers, the crew still made announcements from the gate - even though all the passengers had to sit at the next 2 gates which were pretty far away, so no one could quite hear the announcements. Once they opened the boarding process it was more clear why the gate was roped off since they were checking passports and there was an additional security check, which would have been really helpful to know about. They made an announcement indicating that everyone should line up to start the passport check, but then the line didn't move for over 30 minutes and when it did move, went super slowly. Since the flight didn't board in any particular order or with any sense of organization, it just felt like a mad rush to get everyone on the plane and get up in the air, which left many passengers feeling rushed and then frustrated when they were trying to find their seats, put baggage away, etc."
