Pros: Staying at Ruzzini’s Palace for the weekend was great. It was the weekend just after high tide but except for the flood barrier at the front door we didn’t notice anything... luckily. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good good tips for dining. The room was really spacious. It was quiet and OmG the breakfast was incredibly good. What a perfect way to start the day with. Don’t mind the extra calories you walk them off in Venice. Can really recommend the place and would love to return

Pros: The location is excellent. The House Keeping Staff kept the room very well. All staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast was good.
Cons: The deluxe double room had no view. We were unable to control the room temperature which had a fixed lowest temperature of 20 degrees. Far too hot sleep, so consequently after 4 nights stay we feel tired. Lack of good public room facilities. The hotel generally looked drab and uninviting. Definitely needs a make over. The bar and dining room were depressing to be in. An expensive hotel that did not deliver value for money.

Pros: Location is amazing, we had the first floor junior suite directly above the entrance truly fantastic position. The staff were friendly and helpful and answered all our questions and arranged various things for us. The room was very spacious and warm, the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very impressive, all you could possibly want ( the dishes with egg, bacon and sausage need to kept hotter) The bathroom was rather compact ( small ) the shower was a big problem, it constantly went from hot to cold to extremely hot which was very dangerous... We were surprised there that there was not a turn down service in the evenings ! Overall it is a wonderful place to stay with a great position and easy access to Venice. Would happily return.

Pros: *Loved that although a bit noisy the vaporetto stop is right outside the hotel front entrance. I would rather have a little noise than lug my luggage through the alleyways of Venice especially with all the bridges or in case of rain or Acqua Alta. * Decor is lovely, the shower was awesome with rain shower head with lots of well pressured water, temp was spot on. *Breakfast was better than expected * We loved our terrace/view * Staff was exceptional! -Multilingual -Kind -Helpful * We were greeted with champagne (juice for the kiddo) upon checking in. * When we got to our room we had sweet treats and bottle of champagne. * Additional surprise dessert and more champagne (sang happy birthday) at breakfast on my actual birthday. Their attention to detail is impeccable and much appreciated.

Pros: Went to celebrate 20th anniversary. Stayed in a 3 star hotel in Venice before and this was certainly more posh and the price tag reflected that as well. Nice amenities that we were not aware of: breakfast was included at the restaurant, 30 minutes per room of private sauna, jacuzzi or steam sauna time per day. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to St. Mark's Square etc.

Pros: Fabulous hotel , great location, hospitable staff (Alissandro was very helpful and friendly)and very clean , simply perfect!
Cons: No such thing!
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was very basic but good, Room was big and very clean, comfortable. Location was perfect, only 3-5 minutes from Rialto bridge and 6-7 minutes from San Marco. Restaurants, grocery shops, gelatarias all within a 3-5 minute walk. Some nice stores also within walking distance.
Cons: I was very disappointed with the level of information I was provided on the day of the Venice floods. The lady at the reception seemed like a) she had no interest in helping b) had little or not information and made no attempt to find any c) simply unhelpful. It was the day of the floods, I was checking out and asked if they knew about the high tides as typically they give you a heads up, luckily I had stepped out early and found Alilaguna was closed, no water taxis were operating and I had to get to the airport. I waded through the water- back to the hotel- asked reception if they could help as I was on my own, needed to get to the airport. What are my options? Can someone help? She, without even a hint of emotion showed me a vaporetto line and said take that to Piazza de Roma and get a bus to the airport. Not once understanding the anxiety that comes from being alone in a foreign city in a time of what was Venice's national emergency. Nothing. I was just left to fend for myself and I did. I managed to get out and home safe but absolutely no thanks to the lady at reception who couldve at least shown some humanity and offering advice as a local.
7.1 Good
Pros:
Cons: Tv was not working
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very clean quiet and centrally located. Near to St Marks Square, Rialto Bridge, shops and restaurants.
Cons: The breakfast service was not good on day one. The room was full of guests and only two members of staff who were trying really hard to cope with the amount of guests but were unable. Food was not being replaced on the buffet as the two members of staff were struggling to clean and turn round tables and take orders for hot drinks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was nice and clean. Very near Piazza San Marco. Lots of great restaurants and shops near it.
Cons:
7.4 Good
Pros: Went to celebrate 20th anniversary.
Cons: Staff are very well dressed and say the right words, but I never sensed any authenticity, warmth, friendliness, etc.. I asked for assistance on several occasions from different people related to getting to the airport, a restaurant recommendation, directions, etc and the responses were typically curt and robotic. The only exception was the porter/bellhop from the Philippines, he was great. I would expect more from a 4-star hotel when I'm paying $400-500 per night. It was as if they didn't like their jobs. The same experience was noted in the restaurant which was located in the sister hotel next door. Doubt I will return given the opportunity.
With a stay at Palace Bonvecchiati, you'll be centrally located in Venice, within a 5-minute walk of St. Mark's Square and Grand Canal. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room.

Pros: The canal view room/ breakfast / hot showers/ toiletries and clean rooms/ champagne surprise for anniversary trip.
Cons: We decided to stay an extra night but could only get a standard room. The standard room has a view of a molding roof top and the room has an odor (possibly from the carpet being wet and not cleaned properly).

Pros: The location is great, as it is fairly close to the touristy areas (pzza San Marco, etc) but not in the middle of it so you avoid the overcrowding and touristy traps. The hotel is also clean.
Cons: The room we stayed in (economy room) had a window that faced a wall which was not mentioned in the room description . Also I though the hotel management was lazy, leaving a ironing board in the middle of the communal area (for guests to iron if they needed to) and the guests had to prepare their own coffee from a machine as part of the breakfast buffet . When holidaying in Italy you would expect to get a nice coffee in the morning at least! For 240€ a night I would have expected more..
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Late check in
Cons: There’s no porter from the buses drop off area when I arrive at 11:00 p.m and when I check out I asked the receptionist to call the porter but no benefit because no coordination between them. Also I ask about the price of watertaxi and the man who drive the watertaxi said will cost 120€ and ask me to go to the reception to make reservation for me but I was surprised when the receptionist said the watertaxi will cost 135€ and he insisted to this price. Another issue the price was very expensive in comparison with the stars and amenities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very Nice. I recommend it.
Cons:
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location away from the hustle of the busy streets yet within walking distance to all the main spots and restaurants!
Cons: My god, the bed! It was like sleeping on a board, not pleasant at all. We had to lay the extra blankets on top of the mattress to try and get a decent nights sleep
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location. Great Breakfast, what's all this fuss about the eggs? They provided hard-boiled and scrambled, the scrambled eggs being excellent fresh and not overcooked, Great room and facilities, good bathroom and towels etc. We stayed in a canal view, the view was very pleasant indeed.
Cons: We stayed one night in winter but the room got a little too warm for our liking and we couldn't find a way to turn down the heating, but it was easy enough to open a window.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location and cleanliness.
Cons: The bed was 2 smaller beds pushed together as one.. which made you sink between the two mattresses. Also canal view was nice but came with mosquitoes.

Pros:
Cons: The room was cold. I have immediately noted the heating system in the bathroom was not working and alerted the staff. They answered me it had a centralized timetable and would have been switched on later at night. It never did. When I came back late at night in the room I was freezing. They did not even apologize for the inconvenience at the reception the day after. In case you are assigned with room 301 ask immediately to change it: nothing works, the heating system, not the hydro massage. Even the boiler almost exploded when I turned it on!!
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing!
Cons: So we got to the hotel- they give us a third floor room. My husband is handicap. When I tell the man he said oh well- that’s all we have. So we make it to the hotel- it is the wrong size bed then what we ordered. The place is a nightmare .
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Nice and quiet enough room. Very attentive and helpful staff. It is in a great location. The room was a little larger than expected and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub, which was unexpected.
Cons: No elevator and no rooms on the ground floor. Your queen size bed may end up being two single beds pushed together, but that is not so unusual in Europe. In room coffee is a packet of Nescafe, not what you'd expect in Italy.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast coffee is one of the best in Italy. The style of the hotel matches Venice style which is was great. The staff were more than nice. The bathroom is great.

6.0 Good
Pros: Hotel was very clean & tidy & in a excellent location; walking distance to all sites.
Cons: The standard room was a little on the small size. The double bed was not a double it was two singles pushed together. Hotel itself was nice and pleasant however I felt it fell short of a four star. Overall I rate it 7/10.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast (at the start).
Cons: The address does not quite match the location. Better waking directions should be provided from the water bus stop.
7.1 Good
Pros: Property was as I had selected online
Cons: Poor directions to meet water taxi from train station, they were very help but just missed some important details No English tea or coffee in room when we arrived plus they didn’t even top up supplies, I asked the first and second day then didn’t bother after that Only one electrical socket we could use and we have to share that with the kettle TV didn’t work but they fixed that pretty quickly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful big room with bath. Very helpful receptionist. Umbrellas for rain. Coffe in room. Very good location with less than 10 min walk to square and to Rialto. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and extra pillows. Airconditioner.
Cons: View from superior room window. No sunlight and room was dark. Floors were cold.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location; not too far from a Vaparreto stop.
Cons: The shower was strange. It was just a curtain hung over a corner in the room with a drain. No lip on the floor, so water went everywhere.

Pros: The worst five star hotel experience ever. We’ve booked 3 people’s room ,cost 3k+ .however the room is different between the pictures we saw in booking its too small and I was shocked when I come into the room .The lock of toilet door is broken ,the wifi is extremely slow . The dinner at Antinoo's Lounge on the outside balcony was also a highlight of our stay - exceptional food in a picture postcard environment.

6.0 Good
Pros: Amazing and welcoming staff who did their best to help us and overcome the many defects of the room and hotel
Cons: For a hotel in this very high price bracket the facilities have not been updated for too long. We were upgraded to a better room, on the Grand Canal with admittedly amazing views. But, the floor was broken in parts in the bedroom and in the bathroom, almost dangerous stepping out of the shower. No extra sockets provided in the bedroom for charging, we went to hunt for a socket which would still work when the lights were out, had to dig one behind the bed and ask for extension leads. No kettle available the first night and certainly no proper tea cups or mugs available beyond the minuscule coffee cup. Breakfast was a joke: proper eggs beyond the scrambled mix (so likely from a carton and not fresh) were charged extra, no plain yogurt available, no whole grain breads, only low quality cereals offered and certainly no alternative milks, had thyme the first morning but kitchen had used it all up the next day.. and certainly nothing organic. As tourists keep coming in maybe the hotel does not care to provide high end accommodation and breakfast but still charge high end prices. It is time to call their bluff.

Pros: It's at good location
Cons: The worst and rudest customer service ever seen. Do not go by pictures, in reality their rooms are very bad. It does not deserve even one star. I ended up making new reservation of an apartment by paying 200 euro per night. Moreover when I tried to cancel my old reservation via booking agency, they threatened us that we may have to leave their property. Now think of what you do when you are with the family on a vacation. Over commercialization has degraded quality everywhere. But this one is the worst. Please STAY AWAY from this hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, right on the water bus stop, and just at the bottom of the Rialto bridge. Very efficient check of our group of 18. We were encouraged to pay up front for our two night stay, which we did. All seemed friendly and welcoming.
Cons: Within three hours we were wading in flood water, the hotel never mention the forthcoming flood, which they had prior warning. For two days we had no electricity nor hot water. The only communication from the hotel was to say that we should stay in our rooms until the flood went down. Being true Brits we put up with it, because we felt sympathy for them. The electricity did come back on in the early hours of our final night. Ours was the only hotel in that area to have no lighting at all, other hotels managed to get some light on. This was not just our hotel the whole of Venice had issues, with the flood. It was so sad to see the businesses having to cope with the flood whic keeps coming back. Why doesn’t some one do something about it?
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is great.
Cons: The room is dated but comfortable. The mattress is hard, but that pretty common in Europe.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Location is good
Cons: We were placed in what is called "the Annex" - never stay there - it is accessed by a dimly lit alley way filled with garbage - no evalators and no view whatsoever. The Hotel Rialto should be embarrassed to count this as part of their establishment.

Pros: The only good thing about the property is that , it’s in a good location where most of the restaurants are located.
Cons: The property is EXTREMELY outdated. The decor is poor and the bed sheets felt and smelled as if they have not been changed from the previous clients. They gave us the last room at the top of the floor and we had to climb stairs non stop. Also, there is a little decline once you reach the top of the first staircase , and my mother twisted her ankle pretty bad because there was no sign designating that was there. The front desk woman maritima I think is her name is very kind and informing. On the other hand there is another male front desk person, who is extremely rude and doesn’t try to make the stay for the client comfortable or easy. Never would I return to Venice or this hotel their all rude and not worth it .
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location
Cons: This place is old, a d that is ok, but if you are going to be an old hotel at least mantain the appliances in optimal conditions, the A/C stopped working at 10 pm in 85 degree heat and the answer from the reception was "im sorry im not sn electritian and i dont have mkre rooms" disaster since i was traveling with my kids and wife who suffered the 85 defree heat throughout the night!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best location by Rialto bridge, good breakfast, helpful staff. Tea kettle in room. Easy to get to from Marco Polo airport with the alilaguna boat. Would definately stay here again.
Cons: Best to pack lightly as you must drag your suitcase over the Rialto bridge to get to property from public transportation. It’s a bit noisy as walls are thin and the fondamente right outside your window but did not detract from a wonderful stay.

Pros: Great location, back entrance to the canal, good breakfast
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It is very quiet at the end of a small calle near a smaller canal. And nevertheless very central
Cons:
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly in the heart of venice
Cons: The unavailability of Kettle for hot water
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location being a short walk of San Marco square and some great restaurants and designer shops
Cons: The hotel felt completely under staffed, On our first evening my wife and I returned to the hotel after a lovely meal at a nearby restaurant we thought we would have a drink at the hotel bar before we called it a night, when I say bar I should say counter! As there were only two seats and no staff to be seen anywhere so much so after 15 minutes I thought it may even be an honesty bar!! But just as I contemplated serving ourselves the only member of staff bar the receptionist appeared (think faulty towers sketch and you wouldn’t be far wrong!) between my wife and I, I think we ordered 8 different drinks from the menu to be told each time, sorry we don’t have! I am not sure if this is a ploy to force you to use your mini bar?! Breakfast was underwhelming unless you like a boiled egg or cheese and ham toastie! There we a number of other display plates and baskets which led us to believe they operated the same stock taking skills as they did with the bar! So we ventured out every morning with an empty belly! (I would save your money and not pay for the breakfast and venture out to some lovely restaurants instead) Our junior suite with canal view was lovely bar the bathroom which I personally felt was more 2* than 4* I am 6ft and the poorly positioned shower fitting above the bath meant I had to squat to shower, the large poorly frosted window also meant anyone on the communal balcony area immediately outside the bathroom received more of a shock than they bargained for! The pillows were the equivalent of sleeping on a couple of bricks. Overall if they invested more money in their staffing and stock levels they would have the ingredients of a good hotel. We did experience one poor member of staff Irenie (if I recall her name correctly) we found her very disinterested and lacking in any people skills. All in all, I would recommend finding a different hotel.

Pros: The location is perfect between Rialto bridge and San Marco with designer shops a stones throw away!
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Our room had a lovely view, it was very clean, warm & nicely decorated. The reception staff were very courteous & helpful.
Cons: The water was tepid on one of the mornings when we were having showers. The bed & the pillows in the deluxe room we stayed in weren’t very comfortable but were satisfactory. No English speaking channels on the tv or Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The hairdryer was very poor. For a four star hotel I feel these areas should be addressed.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful. They made every effort to accommodate us. The location was perfect; very clean and beautiful facility. Good breakfast!
Cons: Room was very small; we had 3 large suitcases and it was difficult to maneuver because the space was very small
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Its very good location, close to local restaurants/ shops and Saint Marco square. Nice clean rooms the only one thing the rooms was too hot even after calling the reception to switch off the heating. Apart of that we had a good time in Venice.

Cons: the coffe and limoncello we had at the lobby, it was a bit too expensive... The breakfast room was a bit small or maybe because of the flood ( acqua alta ), the tourists were having difficult times as well as the hotel staff...
7.1 Good

Pros: G staff very helpful; great location, breakfast good;
Cons: Very expensive and room could do with a refreash - looking very tired
4.2 Okay
Pros: Great location. Great view of the basin.
Cons: It was noisey, staff were unhelpful and breakfast was not only awful but service shockingly bad. The walls were paper thin and you could hear whole conversations from the adjacent room, residents banging doors from 6am 2 out of the 3 mornings, maids starting at 7am and making noise outside the room and leaving the rubbish there all day, small double meant very small double (box room), breakfast - poor choice and quality if you were lucky enough to be seated, find a plate and be given cutlery. Staff were not bothered or helpful even when we spoke to them.

Cons: Breakfast lacks variations.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was right behind main square and easy to find. It was clean.
Cons: We didn’t like only one thing about the hotel that the breakfast time was said at 7 am but it was late and a lot of guests were waiting in front of the doors. For us it was important to start breakfast at 7 in order to catch our train. but as it was late we didn’t wait for it and left.

5.1 Okay
Pros: The location near San Marco square cannot be beat. The lobby is beautiful.
Cons: The furnishings were old and disappointingly faded for the price we were paying. One of our first rooms was located next to the air conditioning motor on the roof and was insanely loud. To their credit, they did allow us to relocate that room. Upon check in, we were told breakfast was included in our room and the times it would be available. Disappointingly, after our party of six had started eating breakfast, we were then told that our rooms did not include breakfast. When I reminded them of what they had told us at checkin, they said I must have misunderstood. 15 euro per person when we could have easily fed my four children for 1/5 of that price at the bakery around the corner had we known was annoying.

Cons: The AC was very loud, we have to turn it off before going to bed. Otherwise, it will be like a helicopter hovers all night. We got a canal view room, yes we can see the tiny canal through the window; it is not worth to do the upgrade from standard room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the authenticity of the hotel...and the coffee was definitely great!
Cons:
6.7 Good
Pros: Lobby, room
Cons: Complicate access to room and fact that it did cost us 150 € for an early check out- 50€ baggage carry and 100€ water taxi- of course/ no receipts. I consider hotel should take more care of customers thinking we did ask for transfer with 2 days before
5.8 Okay
Pros: Great location and good breakfast. Overall it is clean.
Cons: Very old rooms with orrible furniture, when you book it they present you nice pictures that do not reflect the room you get. The ad was saying canal view and there was only one small window (in the bathroom) where you were able to see canal opening it and looking down. The bathroom is tiny and with really bad bath equipment not adequate to a 4 star hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to San Marcos square Very Good breakfast The staff was professional and helpful
Cons: The room was a little small The address in San Marco 848 is was confusing. The name of the street it seems to be actually “Calle di Fabbri”. I hope the hotel staff correct this problem or make a clarification. This was a problem for me when arriving late at night.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has old school charm and is located less than 200m away from St Marco Square. We enjoyed the room which was large and we were so happy to have a full bathroom with a bath tub.
Cons: The furnishings are a little old and weathered but it added to the charm and romance of Venice.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: I got bit by bed bugs in room 206. The room had a bad odor.
