Pros: Loved the private bathroom, the bedroom size and that there was air conditioning. We absolutely loved the furniture as well! There was a TV in the room too, not that it was needed as we were a stones throw away from Rialto Bridge and so many amazing spots! We were made to feel very welcome and had space in the fridge and kitchen. Wonderful host and staff! Would absolutely recommend.

Pros: It was quaint and walking distance to many attractions.
Cons: Not easily identifiable at night. It was in a dark square and I didn’t realize it was more like a BNB than a motel. But the host responded quickly and was able to let us in remotely.

Pros: Location ok, 15-20 minutes walk to the train station , vaporetto and San Marco. Big room, "venice furniture", nice rain shower. Quiet room.
Cons: Bed could have been better, walls need painting, bath room smelt a bit damp as heating was not yet on. Also I didnt realize when making the reservation that this is more like airbnb than a hotel, my mistake

Pros: The host was really nice when we arrived and left
Cons: We ended up with bits all over us (thankful we only stayed one night) we then had to wash everything, encase whatever was biting us spread, then we itched for a week and had to buy creams to stop the itching. I then emailed the host and received no response. Not really something you want to spend £85 on plus £12 tax for one night! what a shame

Pros: The personnel was very friendly. The room (Superior with canal view) we got at first was not what we thought we would get but it was changed the next day when we mentioned it at the reception. Real nice old floor and ceiling, antique bedhead. Excellent view from 3 windows. We don't care too much for all the conveniences but prefer an authentic old room. The hotel is easy to find and quite near to the very center. Not too noisy too although it is right on the intersection of two canals. The breakfast was nice although different from what I usually get in N-European hotels, but that was to be expected.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast although in the sister hotel. Good location.
Cons: No kettle or drink making facilities. in the room. Would much prefer that than a mini bar. Couldn’t turn the heating down, the room was far too hot. The heating was being controlled centrally which defeats the object of having controls isn’t he rooms. No sign outside the hotel so walked past it twice and took an hour to find in the dark, floods and rain!! Not very good, must have a name of the hotel put up. Other people’s hairs in the bath!!

Pros: Location close to biennale

Cons: The breakfast room was quite small. On two occasions (We were there for 4 nights) it got a bit too crowded. However this is not something to really complain about, but just to mention.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room decor was nice. Staff was mostly friendly
Cons: The older woman with the kitchen staff acted like the “food warden”. She had a really bad attitude and wouldn’t let you have breakfast a second before 7:30. ( we had to leave at 7:15 to catch a bus) However, the young lady that worked in the kitchen was nice and helpful.

Cons: The bathroom was private but in another floor, not that handy
5.8 Okay
Pros: Really great localization
Cons: I think calling a “private bathroom” room which is actually private but in another room on another floor is a little bit fraud. Private kitchen without any plate, cup, fork with oven but without kettle or pot. So why is it if I can’t use it ?
4.2 Okay
Pros: Very basic
Cons:
6.5 Good
Pros: Location, staff and breakfast
Cons: It would be nice if the room floor was clean. I do not think that it has been mopped in ages. It was real dusty and dirty especially along the walls and only clean from the tracking of the feet.

Pros: Great location near the train station. Helpful staff. Great rates.
Cons: Rooms are just...meh. Not dirty -- but just old. Very tiny. Beds were not comfortable.

Cons: The receiption lady said the EFTPOS device was faulty though it seemed functioned okay.

Pros: Location is great! Very close to the train station and sights in Venice.
Cons: The shower in our room had broken doors and flooded out entire room. My husband and I had a mosquito infestation in our room. Two of the staff members were rude. Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast selection was very limited
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is close to Venezia Santa Lucia train station. The staff hotel is very kind.

Pros: breafasts were wonderfull, especially with two teenagers boys always hungry. And people of the hotel were very nice, thank you.
Cons: only one problem: I got mosquitos or fleas' stitches - I can't distinguish - but it was unpleasant for me during my last night in the hotel and four days after !
4.3 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel is great, right by the train station and the grand canal.
Cons: The temperature of our room was unbearably hot and the hotel staff did not help with it at all. The hotel is filled with mosquitoes.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wery professional and helpful. Eccellent location near station.
Cons:
2.3 Mediocre
Pros: location
Cons: I booked the double room with my own bathroom, which also was showed in my paper from the booking.com. However, the staff of the hotel gave me a very small room (no .402) without the bathroom. My wife and I had to share the publc bathroom with other residents. No.402 is not worth 75 Euros. I argued this poor service with the staff, but he was rude and told me there was nothing he can do. Although the staff gave me the discount, the hotel and staff's service destroy my mood to enjoy the Venice. The remoter of the TV in this hotel even chaege the 10 Euros deposit. I forgot to take the money back when I checked out. Thus, I do not recommend this hotel and score 0.
6.3 Good
Pros: I like it very much specially for his location, not so far from the center of Venice!!
Cons: No complaints!
2.4 Mediocre
Pros: Location is convenient.
Cons: Breakfast table usually unavailable due to no space, so have to stand and wait for long time; slow service by one person who is overworked.Food available disappointing with no eggs or meat supplied. Central heating was not allowed to be switched on (even when requested), when it was cold and moist inside the room.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing - would never ever stay there again!
Cons: Hotel was almost impossible to find. Staff was not helpful or friendly at all. The power kept going out in my room while trying to shower and get ready in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3.2 Mediocre
Pros: close to train station
Cons: Very dirty room, no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor(American 4th floor)
5.2 Okay
Pros: Excellent proximity to Venice and the train station. We were able to get to whatever we wanted to see in less than an hour (on foot or taking a water bus). A good continental breakfast was offered.
Cons: Lots of stairs. There's no elevator and having a room on the 3rd (4th American) floor reminded me I'm not as young as I used to be. Not handicapped friendly.

Pros: The central position and the friendly staff
Cons: The bad smell in the bedroom
6.7 Good
Pros: The location was central and next to restaurants and shops. It was also conveniently located to the piazza San Marco.
Cons: The fact that check in was so late at 15:00 and check out early 11:00, which means that you do not have enough time to rest. I also did not like the fact you get charged extra for linen and towels.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect, plenty of cafes close by, very helpful staff
Cons:
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Good location and very friendly staff! Very cute and quiet place. It’s an open room with several beds but one of the better hostels/houses I have stayed at!
Cons: Slightly far from center but just a 10 min walk! It didn’t bother me that it was on the edge of the town. VERY close to St Marks square and that was wonderful.
6.3 Good
Pros: The afternoon/evening staff was wonderful. The location was fantastic......easing walking to almost everything. Good wifi. Bathrooms were adequate and clean. Was able to use a microwave and toaster oven.
Cons: The facility was run down with terrible furniture and cots for beds. Our room was dusty. The refrigerator stopped working overnight so we had to throw our food away that was to be for our travel. We made the best of it.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenience, close to everything...
Cons: No problems at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The woman at the reception!
Cons: Both men at the reception. They weren’t that bad, but they can try to be a little bit nicer
7.9 Good
Pros: The location was brilliant as it was in the heart of Venice near the Biennial and near St Marks Square. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The room was very basic and the bathroom was shared but this was reflected in the good price. A great base but nothing fancy.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Extremely nice and helpful staff. The location is just in the City Center.
Cons: No air conditioning, so it was extremely hot. Soundproofing is really bad. So u can hear everything outside the room, all neighbors from other rooms.

Pros: Amazing location good breakfast room with balcony is a must !

8.3
Pros: The location was simply outstanding, and the old building is a beautiful example of Venetian architecture. Although there is no 24h reception, the check-in was simple. You just had to notify the host when will you approximately arrive, text when you're there, and she will come pick you up in front of the building. The economy room we booked (the only one they had left) is situated on the ground level, and does not have a view of the canal, although it is facing towards it. Otherwise, the room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. One of the single beds had a really low ceiling, but for sleeping it does not bother you much. The breakfast was basic but OK. The breakfast room, however, was really small and too crowded with tables and chairs. It really wasn't pleasant to eat in such a small tight space, especially as it the room filled with other guests.

Cons: They tried to tell me that the room i booked with canal view& small balcony was taken... So sorry ...bla bla bla i had to fight and get really upset so did my boyfriend, we had booked the lastroom for 3nts over 2 months in advance Then miraculously the room reappeared ... All good at the end but bitter check in. That room was great and incredible experience.

Cons: The economy room is situated right next to the breakfast area (or actually, you enter the economy room from the breakfast area), which makes it very loud inside the room once the other guests arrive for breakfast in the morning. Considering that fact, and its ground floor location with no view, the price of the room is really not as lower compared to the other rooms as one would expect.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was ok. Katherina, the host was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfekt. Very close to the center.
Cons: Aircon did not work properly. It switched automatically on in the night, but unfortunately in heating mode, and not cooling mode. The room definitely needs some renovation. The ceyling and the walls in the bathroom were grey from the humidity. Even the paint was coming off. There was also a problem with the hot water.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Location was great and room was a nice size
Cons: Where to start, air con was not working and only found out on last day it was broken, even asked for the remote and got told it was in room when it wasn’t, was mould in the bathroom and bedroom, had kettle but when asked for milk for tea was told no food or drink in the room, lady who sorted breakfast spoke no english and was hard to make out any question she asked us so was a guessing game for what we was getting for breakfast, nosey in the day lots of maintenance going on while we was on our holiday with no apologies!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The location is perfect ... Right in the city center ...
Cons: The additional charges are not told while booking and the cost was actually included in the price paid initially
