Pros: Clean, great staff from check in to check out. Everyone we met was professional and helpful. Could tell they cared about the guests.
Cons: Looked to upgrade to a suite but only one king size bed in the room. Pool was nice but found the water to be a bit dirty.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Beginning to look run down. The restaurant needed new upholstery, the floors were badly scuffed and the woodwork was scraped and marked. AC Registers were dirty, room furniture was scuffed. It looked tired.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else
Cons: No microwaves in room. Handed food to a stranger to reheat. Then signed a waiver, just to reheat food.
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: hidden $20 a day resort fee. This is not a resort. And over $50 parking
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great and I loved the robe!
Cons: My room was right off the elevators.
6.0 Good
Pros: walking distance to where I needed to be for work.
Cons: A dirty rag was left on the floor of the room when I checked it. I picked it up and put it outside where it stayed for 2 more days. A dirty martini glass(not mine) was outside for 2 days. A take out bag was outside for more than a day. Overpriced - $12 for a glass of wine downstairs. All the places to eat within walking distance were overpriced and so so on the food.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Rooms are comfy and big with a beautiful with the beautiful view of the city. Internet was very good. They had Netflix on tv to use with your personal account. Coffee in the room is excellent.
Cons: If you don’t have business in downtown LA location is nothing special. Hollywood would be much better option for tourist visits. When we walked in the room the toilet was not properly clean. Toilet bowl seat was covered in some brown spots that we had to clean to be able to use it. Carpet was not vacuumed. Overall terrible impression about hygiene.

Cons: More breakfast options for the hosted breakfast.
6.3 Good
Pros: Excellent location near Staples Center.
Cons: The property is showing age, funky plastic shower covers, no where to charge phones near bed, only an iPod docking station with an old charging port. The bed is horrible, hard and stiff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is breathtaking and the rooms are pleasant and generally pretty functional.
Cons: The only two negatives of the hotel were the elevator situation. For almost all the rooms you have to take two elevators to get to the lobby. If you have a car- you'll take a third. Also parking is expensive but this IS LA afterall.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed, nice bathroom
Cons: Rude staff, room cleanliness not up to par, takes an hour for room service, no late check outs, and not one person to smile at you or ask how your stay is. For luxury, this property is not worth your money. Also breakfast is delicious but a hot mess to get a table and they try to charge you for it as well even if included in your room rate.

Pros: The location was ideal.
Cons: *Staff: horrible! *The bed was supposed to be queen more like a full-size bed, very uncomfortable *Room decor poorly maintained for what suppose to be an upscale boutique. *Asked for an additional towel as there were 4 of us in the room and they only gave us 3 and they NEVER came or brought an additional set. *Room was not clean one of the days and at 4 pm the housekeeper knocks on the door asking if we needed our room clean, at this time the baby was sleeping and did not want to wake her as we had been out since 7 am. He insisted that he takes the trash and to give us new towels (which we needed). *There was suppose to be a heated pool IT WAS FREEZING! The baby could not even swim as the water was just too cold. The best part of the stay (even though $48 a day is RIDICULOUS) was the valet attendants. We had no choice but to do valet parking as there was no self-parking available. And although I understand that check-in is at 4 pm they did not even attempt to accommodate us with a three-year-old who had been up since 4am EST, on a 6-hour flight and a 1-hour ride to the hotel, not even a though of trying to help in any way. I came back 4 times to ask if the room was ready and nothing, but "we would have called if it was" from the front desk woman. The stated that they would call if a room came available. The fourth time I came back, it was about 3:30 pm and asked he said the room was ready NO CALL!! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to my family and or friends ever!

Pros: Location was convenient and room was fine.
Cons: Check in and out was a hassle. Staff seems very distracted with various activities. I did not receive the invoice by email as agreed. It took forever to get my luggage from my room to the car. Parking is $50 and with terrible service. They also charged my CC for $22. No idea what that is for since I did not eat or drink anything in the hotel. I arrived at 8:30pm and left at 7am next day. Called and was transferred to Accounting. Got vmail. This hotel is seriously understaffed with poorly trained employees, but with an air of arrogance. Good luck with that mix if you run this hotel.

Pros: Theme decor is unique , vintage yet look extraordinary.

Cons: This property is DOWNTOWN Los Angeles. You are in the center of the city, but along with that you do get the homeless people and smells that come with that. The duvet was really thick and it made me uncomfortable. We brought our little dog and they charged me an additional $75 for him to spend the night. The room was already $300! Perhaps they could have made it a refundable deposit instead.

Pros: Great central location in Downtown - close to Macy's, restaurants and the Metro. Clean and well-appointed rooms that are very comfortable!

Pros: I love that the location gives you access to everywhere! The downtown area is very accessible by car, ride share and public transportation. The options for the dining and shopping are also great and just steps away! Love that about this place.
Cons: There housekeeping closes at 4pm. So, if you plan on sleeping in or if you miss their early room visit, you will miss having your room cleaned for the day. This happened to me two days in a row and made this a bit less pleasant.

Pros: We loved everything about our stay. We where given a beautiful room with a balcony, it’s walking distance to everything. One of the best overnight stays we’ve ever had. I truly believe this hotel is under-rated; it should be 4+ stars & not
Cons: We notice a bit of construction going on the front exterior of the hotel but It was minimal and aside from noticing when we checked it did not affect our stay.

Cons: The cost of the hotel didn't justify the amenities. I mean, there was nothing fancy about the hotel, so why should it cost $450 to stay the night there especially when there was no special events happening that night. Also, $52 for overnight parking....are you kidding me?!?! It was WAY TOO PRICEY for what you get.

Pros: Great location and very nice looking hotel.

Pros: The location is great and was easy to access late at night. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was friendly. We arrived after midnight and were hungry. Appreciated the restaurant being accommodating as they were closing. Excellent food!
Cons: The rooms are fine and clean, but really nothing extra special. The vanity area is way to small. Valet pricing cost is extremely high and self parking wasn't really an option late at night and in downtown a woman and her 11 year old son.

We get to the room and every thing looked great only down was The rug in my room looked old and dirty. Pros:
Cons: I had booked a king room and got there and was downgraded to a handicapped queen suit. The staff didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience but just told me that was what was available and nothing could be done. I felt she could have been more accommodating and polite seeing as I didn’t get what I requested. The room was not what I had paid for. I called twice to complain and did not receive a response as I result I just gave up. I wanted to take a bath but couldn’t. The towels were dirty and tattered they looked like motel towels not at all what I would expect from a hotel like the Westin. In the morning I tried to request a late check out but yet again was not accommodated. Maybe they need to put more focus on the customer service and quality rather than overbooking the hotel.

Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: Noise! Our room was on the 11th floor and the noise from the rooftop bar was very loud. As a result, I couldn't sleep until the bar closed at 2am, and it ruined my stay. I had to ask from the staff to provide earplugs at 1am. Additionally, I woke up early in the morning due to the noise of the vacuum cleaner next door, although I had the "Do not disturb" sign outside our door. The toilet was separated from the bedroom by a rolling/closet door, that did not entirely seal/close. No privacy at all and no ventilation in that small toilet room. It was extremely inconvenient as I was looking forward to staying at Ace, and I definitely did not enjoy my vacation.

Cons: TV did not work, bedside lights did not work, phone to call downstairs did not work, refrigerator was unplugged and I'm assuming that is because it did not work. The clothes iron barely worked and sprayed water on my clothes but at least it got hot. Obviously the building is old so just hearing creaking, thumping and banging all night got distracting. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is a 96 year old Los Angeles Landmark. It has been lovingly and tastefully restored, with all modern amenities. The basic structure, meeting rooms, entrance and exit locations, reception area, have the original wood carvings and high ceilings.
Cons:
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Property is perfect location in Downtown LA to access bars, restaurants, metro and public transport. The property has good inner city energy and always busy from a wedding, office dinners, or people catching up for a drink or a meal. Then when in the room, peace and quite. Beds are soft and comfortable, slept very well. Rooms are more than generous in size. Staff on the room floors polite and very helpful in anything you need in your room. Overall the property is 100% worth staying at and would recommend/book again. Sorry nearly forgot, the coffee shop inside the property, down stairs in the tea room is great, tremendous service with great coffee. Thank you for your warm smiles and service each morning when getting take away coffee.
Cons: Not a dislike rather just an observation. Front end staff and doormen outside could be a little more welcoming with maybe a.......gee let’s see a ‘smile’. Certainly didn’t impact on our stay, as I said just an observation. The concierge for most part very helpful in directions and offers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed the hotel. The location was convenient with the restaurants and entertainment in downtown L.A. The service at the Biltmore was pleasant and attentive.
Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: If you like the old style hotel this is it for you, but not really impressed by it.
Cons: 50 dollars for parking 1 night is a rip-off, the fee was 1/3 the cost of a room. I hope the car had a good night sleep. The room was not up to the standards according to the price paid. The mattress was so old it had divots from people sleeping. The bathroom hasn’t seen a update in quite some time, dirty grout/mold on tile in shower. Maybe we got a bad room due to using third party booking, but won’t stay here again. I have had way better rooms at other hotel chains for half the cost and no charge for parking.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: View
Cons: Small room

Cons: Not clean very old

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and of great value for the price we paid. Location could have been a little closer to downtown but close enough to Uber around affordably.
Cons: There really isn't anything I can think of that would have made the experience better, as far as the hotel went everything was great.

Pros: The location of the hotel was great walking distance to a lot places. On site facilities were great the bar area could be a little bigger since it was a busy weekend at the hotel other than that i wold definitely recommend this hotel.
Cons: The valet was an issue and since they're not affiliated with the hotel it made it difficult to get in and out and it was very expensive. Additional when i returned my rental car there was damage to the rear of my truck that none of my party could account for so I assumed it occurred during the parking at Valet. Luckily i got the insurance so i didn't have any additional cost.

Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were highly professional. The hotel is not located near the local drug stores, but they are within a decent walking distance.
Cons: The noise from the highway, which is right next to the hotel. They should invest in thicker windows that help to reduce outside noise...or offer white noise machines to their guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: The view was amazing. The food available for room service was very good and delivered promptly, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff was mostly very friendly.
Cons: The elevators smelled bad- like a mixture of mildew and heavy perfume. The pool was dirty. There was no way to rent or stream movies, just cable with 2 mediocre movie channels (showtime 1 and 2). There is no cell service in the building, for some reason, and you have to pay for WiFi. The restaurant closes at 2pm, and after that if you want to eat there you have to eat in the lounge bar with sports blaring at you from several large tv screens. NOT classy.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: There was some plumbing and electrical issues in our room. And the fire alarm went off multiple times around 7am not a nice way to start the morning, without it being an actual emergency.

I have been stayed here several times over the past 10 years and each time i am impressed with the service at this hotel. I made a reservation for two nights and then noticed that my plane left a day earlier than expected. I called reservations and was able to cancel my second night and get a full refund. I was also giving a 2 hour late check out which is more than any other late check out i have been given at other hotels. The staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. This is by far my favorite hotel to stay at.

Pros: The hotel was very clean, and up to date.
Cons: Staff told us the wrong check in times. We waited in the lobby for 3hrs while comp where down to finally get a room. Under the impression we would have a tub. Get to room & no tub. Not even a discount after waiting & being told wrong info from their staff

Rooms are super modern with amazing bathrooms and mini bar, fully equipped with a variety of booze, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks and toiletries.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Staff (front desk) was friendly
Cons: Stains on the shower curtain, floor felt damp and looked gross. Bed was on the floor and the tv hung from a pole in the ground. I was upgraded to a large room which meant a big counter? Why would you not even put a single chair in there. Gross & old
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: Not much- out dated decor, staff was rude and not accommodating
Cons: The noise from subway construction outside my room was horrible. When I complained the staff offered me the ability to check out without being charged. I explained that was not possible as I had been drinking and did not want to drive after drinking, and it was 1000 pm on Friday night! They were tearing up the road with huge machines to build a subway and they were doing this at night so as not to disrupt day time traffic. After we continued our conversation the staff stained offered me the option to check out. He then said he would comp my valet parking and drinks that were on my room tab. When I checked out the next morning he had not removed any of the said items. Horrible service! These rooms overlooking 6th and Flower should not be sold to customers. I will be contacting both Kayak and the Standard asking for a refund.

Pros: Location is a good area of downtown, close to metro station. Lots of options of markets, restaurants and bars nearby, and very close to Staples Center. Room was nice and clean, and good bed
Cons: Wi-fi terrible. Looses connection all the time. Few options on breakfast, but sufficient to avoid the necessity of looking for a place to eat in the morning

Pros: Location
Cons: You have to ask for a bathrobe. I had to ask 3 times for one. My shower drain was clogged so I asked them to fix it. They don’t have cotton balls in the bathroom. The room was very noisy - too near street level.
6.2 Good
Pros: Good location. Most staff were very pleasant.
Cons: We had booked a handicapped accessible room, but did not receive it on checkin. We were told that the hotel had no such rooms and that there was a problem with the Hilton Honors 800 number and the online booking system, allowing us to book rooms that didn't exist. This was not true, the hotel did have the rooms (they appeared the next day), and Hilton's Honor staff (at the 800 number) clearly stated that their information is transmitted to the hotel. Don't really know what happened, but it was communicated poorly. It did not help that we were upgraded to the penthouse suite just to find that the sofa bed mattress was shredded, and the fan in the bedroom could not be turned off. Didn't live up to my expectations of a Hilton experience.

Pros: Beautiful little stylish hotel with extremely accommodating and friendly staff!
Cons: The rooms are pretty tiny, but that's not surprising for a historic downtown hotel.

Pros: Bathroom was fantastic. Modernised shower facilities with loads of room. It was ok for a one night stay to attend the Dodgers 10k run.
Cons: Restaurant was not a buffet breakfast like the standard Hiltons, I paid $15 for a bowl of cereal and a glass of Apple juice. Service was also slow. I wouldnt stay here again.

Cons: Break fast should be included in rooms from$200 above

Pros: The folks in valet and maintenance.
Cons: The receptionist at the front desk was a huge reason I did not like this hotel. I also had issues with a broken door, etc in my hotel room and the night manager said he would call me back with a solution and then never did. Wouldn't stay here again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the bathroom shower
Cons: No free wifi, even though I was a hilton honors member I still paid for wifi. Average fitness room, average view, was given 1 king bed instead of two doubles as requested during booking,no vending onsite but overpriced bar/restaurant for room service

Pros: The location is great, especially if you are attending a show at the Convention Center. The size and layout of the rooms are great, especially if you want added space for a meeting. Having a full kitchen and washer and dryer is certainly an added plus at these long meetings. Parking was great. Everyone at the property was super helpful and customer oriented and made you feel at home.

Cons: The bedding and carpeting need a refresh. The hardwood, cabinets, and fixtures are all updated, but the room carpeting seemed 15 years old, it was so out of place it just stuck in my mind. A small blemish on an overall good experience.

Pros: The best thing about this hotel were the people/staff
Cons: Layout of rooms were not planned very well ..no lighting by the Bed The lighting was harsh and unflattering Electrical outlets were in very inconvenient locations none of which were by the bed which was the only real place to sit Much much more

Pros: The location is not the best. One cannot walk out into the city from here. If you want to go anywhere it will have to be by metro or taxi. But otherwise I found the hotel very pleasant to stay. The room was comfortable. The bar and restaurant service is good and friendly.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel has such unique character and style and the location is superb !
Cons: The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the parking I think it should be cheaper since it's not valet and it's difficult to get in and out of .
1.0 Poor
Pros: Only thing I liked was the hotel lobby and the coffee shop downstairs.
Cons: Hotel room smells like cigarettes even tho it was a non smoking room...and thermometer does not work and always blowing cold a/c no matter what temperature you set. Definitely stay away and find the better place. Not worth the money.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Yes. Staff was rude, rooms were the size of a closet. The bathroom had barley any room to move. The air conditioner made a weird noise at 5 am am and didn't stop until we checked out at 1. The maids cane by and had their walki talkies on high all mornin
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were friendly and lobby was nice. Close to everything.
Cons: Room was so tiny it felt like a shoe box. Bathroom was ridiculous, so cramped with no room to move. Toilet paper holder was a stand which looked like an old broken lamp shade holder. Every morning there was so much condensation on the windows. No airflow in the room and felt really stuffy even with the air con on.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and in a good downtown location. Staff very helpful and hotel is modern and fresh.
Cons: No room service or places to eat nearby of an evening, especially if you have been out all day. So a little planning is needed.,but it does have a restaurant. But it can be a it pricy.

Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room (even though bathroom is a little dated). Very nice lobby and lobby bar (even though service could be better).
Cons: I like the location though some people may feel a little unsafe walking here at night. It is safe but you do have to cross to the west of the freeway (which runs under the street), it's quite separate from the main hotel area which is east of the freeway.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Lobby looks really nice and bartenders were good
Cons: I did not like that my room was given to another customer at 3 am while i was sleeping !!

Pros: The hotel itself is a bit dated and shows signs of age, but it does seem like they're trying to fix things up. Our room was small and the furniture was a bit rinky-dink, but very clean and very inviting despite limited space. We wanted a place to crash after a day of exploring the city and for the price, it suited our needs just fine. The staff we interacted with during our stay was incredibly polite. I've seen a lot of complaints in reviews, but honestly, I feel like this was one of the nicer places I've been for the price.

Cons: The club below was quite noisy and I could feel the vibration from the fourth floor, but it was tolerable for both me and my 16 year old who can pretty much sleep through anything. You may want to avoid this one if you are a light sleeper.

Pros: Friendly/chatty staff, welcoming, good info re the short walk to Walt Disney concert hall.
Cons: No idea where to put the car, made block 2X. (It's valet-only, $22/night, which was never mentioned O/L.) Hotel taxes must be stupid high in LA.
