We have been to LA LIVE for several years at the Adobe MAX Conference and always stayed at the JW Marriott. My lazy self didn't book rooms in time so it was full. I knew the LUXE was across the street so I figured that would be just as good. The double beds were smaller than what we expected and that sucked since it was three of us for three nights then another family member joined us the last three days. The HVAC controls on the wall did nothing to control the air. Maintenance had to come up to fix it. The TV caused us trouble with the movie we rented. Maintenance had to come up to the room for it and it kept cutting off and we had to turn the tv off and back on three times to restart it. Ironically after being in town for five nights and eating around town, our last night we ate at the NIXO (?) on the second floor and we all said it was the best meal we had had all week, so....that was good.
Amazing staff they were kind, cheerful and helpful with all our requests. Also amazing location (beside staples stadium and LA convention centre)
Location to the convention center, staples center and being in city center was great! The bed and pillows were really comfortable. You can also come and go with your car if needed. Towels were super soft.
You can not use the refrigerator. It's completely stock and if you move anything the hotel will charge you a $50 restocking/cleaning fee. The bathroom fan was so loud and there was only one switch that was fan/light so it couldn't be turned off. Parking is $45 a night. They charge an additional $20 for leaving your car past 1 pm on the day of departure. No counter space in the bathroom.
The walls were incredibly thin. I could hear every word of a conversation next door. Also I had a dirty glass in my room.
It was very convenient to the staple center
The laundry room was closed too early
