While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

Also, the flight times AKL-YVR and YVR-AKL are so civilized! After going through the whole security screening process to enter the departures area (I boarded in Singapore), the whole security process is performed again to get to the gate. Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. If the airline wants to use a plane that carries 500+ passengers, then use a gate that can accommodate that number."

In my way back it was same exact food menu service is mediocre at best very demanding flight attendants. Also the luggage came out towards the end . I told my friend I travelled with that this would be my last time to use Emirates airline"

Usually I'm allowed a regular carry-on and a personal item (i.e., a small backpack), but Emirates was very strict on the personal items. Personal items are limited to only Business and First Class passengers. Also, they were extremely strict about the size of my carry-on. As someone who has been on 20+ flights in this year alone, few of them being budget airlines (which are generally very strict), I had no issues whatsoever with the size of my carry-on until I flew with Emirates."

Cons: "I booked through Budget Air and was initially online able to confirm seats and meals for my husband and I online with Qantas easily. Months out my flight was cancelled and I was rebooked onto a later flight that would have made us miss all of our transfers to our honeymoon on Fitzroy Island. Because I had booked through 'a 3rd party' Qantas refused to assist me. I managed to convince budget air to change our flights. We were moved to a jetstar flight from Melbourne to cairns. I had to confirm that this had occurred and go through multiple people online to reallocate seats and food options for my husband and myself again. Only my luggage allowance was carried across to jetstar and neither of our meal allowances were. When it came to online check-in with jetstar I could not check my husband in online only myself. I spoke to multiple people online who all confirmed they didn't know why or there was no problem and we should just present ID and check in in person. When we got to the airport Qantas had not transferred the e-ticket code across for my husband's booking and this is why we could not check him in online. The jetstar staff had to try to get his original booking code from Qantas. As it turned out I had to original booking code through budget Air in my hand and had to assert this information to staff. Flying back we were able to check in online fine with Qantas. Our boarding passes printed different sizes but did not present a problem when we dropped off our luggage. When we sent to check in the staff member couldn't get the smaller pass to read and my husband had to assert that he also had it on his phone. Despite all of my online conversations the aisle seat was allocated to me and not my husband who required it because of a medical condition and the flight was 30min delayed. We won't be traveling with Qantas or jetstar, or booking through budget Air again."

Flight attendant sounded unprofessional over PA Would like more snacks - savoury and sweet, instead of just savoury. Snack was not sufficient for a 3 hour flight landing at 9pm. Had to wait on plane while airbridge was brought to the plane so everyone could disembark - “they weren’t expecting the flight!!” Whole flight still waiting for luggage after 55 minutes of standing at carousel and only after 55 minutes an announcement to say handlers are tending to a departure and we have to wait another 10 minutes - a whole hour for luggage - take carry on only next time!!!! 4 flights collecting luggage from the one carousel!!"

First time I've ever seen this on a plane. Ok, so Qantas got us there safely but the inflight movies its what makes it bearable."

Pros: "The crew were so so friendly, as are most Australians, I've come to learn. I love the complimentary adult beverages!"
Cons: "I have no complaints that are unique to Qantas and this flight (cramped leg room, okay ish food, etc.)."

Pros: "I was accommodated excellently as I required wheelchair access and ease and comfort as I was recovering from major surgery. The return seating in upper level was most appreciated . A big thanks to the cabin crew especially Oscar."
Cons: "When I originally had to call to organise seating requirements and wheelchair access, I was in hold for 1.5 hours before I spoke to someone ."

Pros: "Thank you for keeping track of our luggage throughout the massive delays and rebookings."

Pros: "I had a nose bleed (a side effect of treatment that I had), and although it wasnt causing me great distress, a crew member noticed it and slipped me a few extra tissues without making a fuss about it. That was very much appreciated."

Cons: "Had a jumpy screen for a while and the headsets were a bit sensitive with the sound dropping on and off. The controls were on the top of the arm rest which my husband kept accidentally knocking. Changing channels, turning up the volume etc."

Cons: "One negative experience was that there was only 1hr 30mins between connecting flights. Between departing international flight - picking up luggage/toilet stop and clearing Immigration/Customs then catching bus between Qantas international domestic terminals we were racing to catch flight. As we arrived Qantas domestic terminal our names were being called over along with info the plane was awaiting our arrival. In my experience 2hrs is minimum time between connecting flights - otherwise good experience."

Cons: "The flight was delayed which caused us to miss the last shuttle bus for the car hire company - we had to catch a cab instead - luckily the car hire company reimbursed us for the cab fare, even though it wasn't their fault."

Cons: "Well I thought I was never going to see my family again as there was so much turbulence. At one time I thought the plane was going to tip over. I’m a regular traveler and have traveled the world but never encountered anything like this before. The weather seemed fine . There was no rain or thunder. So what could have caused so much turbulence?"

Pros: "We paid for extra legroom seats because we were so uncomfortable on the flight up to Cairns. It was worth the money to be comfortable. As it happens it was an older plane with more room anyway."

Cons: "Was disgusted that I had only a 6kg small carryon suitcase & a laptop in my handbag (6kg) and had my carryon taken off me & put on the next flight & not getting delivered until 10pm tonight!!! Plus had to pay $60 and buy some clothes to wear to event tonight as luggage won’t arrive in time. Will never fly Jetstar again!!!"

Pros: "Stormy weather made for a bumpy ride but that is no ones fault. Everything else as one would expect from a short flight"

Pros: "I'm a regular flyer, and can't count how often I've been on planes. This was the best, smoothest and least stressful of any shirt hop I've ever taken, and while it can't rival a big plane for food or entertainment, the seats were cozy, I had legroom and it was simply very well done!!"

Cons: "Customer service and Jetstar CANNOT be used in the same sentence. Flight cancelled by carrier no viable options offered by phone representative held on the telephone for over an hour whilst travelling to airport in an attempt to get a flight home. Holiday cut short, had to return rental car 1/2 day earlier than what had been paid for, lunch reservations had to be cancelled and no responsibility accepted by Jetstar representative. Well they have definitely lost me as a customer, none of the companies I own would treat a customer in such a manner we believe that we NEED customers to stay in business. Then to top it all off had a hour and a half travel time from Bne as opposed to half an hour from Coolangatta."

Cons: "There was a huge delay, all the flights I bypassed with Virgin because they didn't leave early enough left long before us. While we were waiting they didn't even post anything at the gate. Once on the plane the seats were among the tightest I have ever experienced. They even charge for coffee. I won't use them again if I have an option."

Cons: "Our flight was canceled due to Cyclone Debbie. We requested a refund as we had already made other travel arrangements but were refused and told that we will receive a voucher. Since we live in the US a voucher is worthless to us. The right thing for JetStar to do is refund our airfare and luggage fees."

Pros: "So many problems with them trying to add baggage fees at gate that there is nothing that can get me to fly Jet Star again. We were under the 7kg checkin bag requirements so they started weighing our personal items to put us over so they could charge another $50. The line got slowed to the point they had to stop this scam."

Pros: "The cabine crew"
Cons: "40 mn delay on a 3h45 flight is a little bit too much. Airplane not really comfortable and noisy. But that is what low cost means, right?!"

Cons: "There was confusion about I checking a bag and I didn't book the ticket with a checked bag so when I got to the airport it cost me $50 to check my bag. I think that it was an excessive price"

Cons: "I don't like how you charge outrageous fees for bags if you make the mistake of checking your bag at the airport instead of online. I just got my phone in March and someone else made the reservation for me. He didn't know about checking the bag online either. I needed my bag, so I was forced to pay the outrageous fee. I feel ripped off and very unhappy about it."

Pros: "At Cairns they placed me on an earlier flight Thank you"

Pros: "The cabin crew were most helpful in helping me get out of the plane first, and escorting me into the terminal to find the fastest way of getting to the international terminal. I am most thankful to them."
Cons: "The flight left 2+ hours late and I nearly missed my international connection in Brisbane"

Pros: "Pleasant atmosphere... Difficult to maintain on a long full flight. Passengers were low key and well behaved. crew courteous, low key and efficient"

Pros: "This was my first time flying with Jetstar long distance. The experience was much better than my low expectations. It may have been partly because the seat next to me was empty so cramped seats were not a problem. The plane was the modern Dreamliner and the entertainment system kept me entertained."
Cons: "The inbound flight was heavily delayed and we left some 5 hours after our flight was scheduled."

Pros: "Everything was good except the confusion regarding the terminal. The confirmation was correct but the taxi driver was confused. Why is a domestic flight check in at the international terminal? He finally dropped us off at the correct terminal!"

Cons: "I booked a return flight from Brisbane to Sydney for a business meeting that only lasted a few hours. I flew in Domestic and when I tried checking in for the return flight they said I was booked on international and had to take a train to that terminal. When I arrived at the International terminal they then told me I needed a Passport or Australian ID. I only had Canadian ID as I didn't need anything other than my booking number to fly into Sydney. So they then book me back on a later flight home at the domestic terminal so then I had to take the train back to where I started from. The staff just looked at me like I was the stupid one through this circus."

Pros: "Nothing. Thought we had booked Qantas and got Jetstar"
Cons: "That the flight ran late That the menu is disgusting. Nothing fresh. No originaliry"

Pros: "Great value!!! You pay for all extras (food, movie player, heavy luggage etc.), but for the cheaper fare, it can't be beat."

Pros: "The cheap fare was great, as was the ability to add what you wanted (luggage, food, etc.) The Boeing 787 was quite nice to fly on as well."
Cons: "By the same token, being asked to pay for almost everything has its drawbacks. A 9+ hour flight and no complimentary refreshments (not even water) is a bit absurd. There are things that, at a minimum, should come with a standard fare so being nickle and dimes over everything was a bit of a disappointment (I understand that this is Jetstar's business model, but not even offering water on that long of an international flight is just tacky)."

Cons: "The made me pay $50 for my skateboard as checked luggage! Skateboarding is not a crime and I'm not a f ucking terrorist! If I was forewarned I could have pre paid and it would only have cost me $12. Either way, it's feking bullshite!"

Cons: "Poor service - white wine was served warm and they refused to exchange for another. Poor hygiene - there was crumbs all over the floor and on my seat, and used gum stuck to the seat in front of me."

Cons: "I don't happy to change our flight. We have to arranged all the schedule,if jet star don't fly at that time please do not sell the tickets.(we book the flight at 21:10 changed to 18:15)"
