When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

Cons: "For some unknown reason, I can not lower my seat when I wanted to get some sleep. As the air plane took off at 11:55pm, I was really sleep. After 10 minutes of maneuver, I decided to ask a flight attendant to help me figure out what happened to my seat. I pressed the button asking for attendant and waited for 5 minutes, no response. So I pressed the button again. IT showed that I had already pressed the button. So I kept waiting. But then no one ever came for me the 9 hours until it was time for the meal before getting off. Sitting straight sleeping was a really terrible experience!"
Cons: "flight was seriously delayed, poor communication from staff & NZ Air app to travelers re reason for & how long delay would actually be. Shortly after we finally boarded I got a text saying our connecting flight from Christchurch to Dunedin was cancelled. So, we were flown to Christchurch & given hotel accommodations for the night, only to be flown BACK the next day to Wellington to catch a flight to Dunedin. All in all quite infuriating."
Pros: "Airport was easy to get to and the flight was very smooth and comfortable on a twin engine plane that is quite modern (noise level very minimal even though it is a propeller plane). Air New Zealand attendants were super friendly and helpful."

Entertainment movies need newer choices specially for people like me who can't sleep on long flights and have seen all this movies. where's the classical music?."

Pros: "I cannot thank the Qantas staff enough for our recent, very smooth trip from Melbourne to Dubai. I was a little worried about the 14 hour trip since I am 7 months pregnant and wanted to be sure I had enough room to move about as needed. Both the desk and plane staff arranged for my husband and myself to have 4 seats to ourselves (luckily, it wasn't a full flight!) which allowed me to rest and put my feet up (literally!) through our long journey. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable throughout. Thanks so much Qantas, we will definitely be traveling with you again with our little one in tow!"

I had prepaid for the Air Asia flights, meaning I had to weigh my one checked bag, but didn't catch JetStar's rules until too late to do online. This resulted in additional fees, according to airport personnel."

Cons: "I checked into my international flight and had a bag that was within weight limit. The cost for checking said bag is listed at 50.00. The attendant told me I had to pay 215.77 to check my bag. I then pointed out the price is listed as 50.00 on line. The attendant then said if I checked the bag on line, I would only have to pay 50.00. However, since I already showed up to the counter, I could no longer check in on-line and would have to pay a different price. The attendant then changed the boarding time, by moving it up 15 minutes, and said I needed to check in with him now. The cost of checking a normal size bag, on an international flight, was as much as the cost of the plane ticket. I was completely deceived and forced to pay a higher price that went against stated policy. I never agreed to pay the higher price nor did I sign for it… I was just charged that amount. I agree that I should pay a fee for checking a bag. That fee should be the same as everyone else and the fact that I was not allowed to check in on line punished me financially."

Pros: "The flight attendants getting on the plane were nice. Otherwise, I had no interaction with them."
Cons: "This airline has many hidden baggage fees, and they are more expensive at the airport than online. They also charge an exorbitant amount of money for each kilo over your reserved baggage weight. The staff working at the counters is extremely rude."

Cons: "Spent 260 dollars on extra baggage fees, and you had to buy everything on board as an extra charge coffee, juice, anything. Total rip off"

Cons: "There was NO inflight entertainment. The seats are to upright,. The new Terminal 4 is a very long walk. The Lounge facilities are at the other end of the airport in terminal 1."
Pros: "The plane was very clean and the leather seats were very comfortable. The flight attendants and check-in desk team were fantastic!"
Cons: "The extra fees for ANY check-in luggage, plus the extra fees by the kilo for both check-in and carry-on luggage makes the trip more expensive than other airlines. Lesson learned."

Cons: "Its a discount carrier, so what do you expect except to get nickel and dime to death. Too costly, but they were the only airline that offered a direct flight that took 7.5 hours instead of 16 hours like the other major carriers."
Pros: "The flight was on time and the crew seemed nice."
Cons: "They ended up charging us for our one bag both ways and it was a very confusing process. The boarding process is laughable and they didn't let people with disabilities and young children board first. We did not have any drinks or food as the airline charged for everything."
