Cons: "We were late arriving, the cabin crew although they were pleasant, didn’t do enough to allow the passengers to get off first, for the connecting flight. Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

Having to produce emails and payment information on something I had done months in advance. Overall I won’t recommend virgin next time I’d book directly with air New Zealand"

When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

Cons: "The boarding process in ORT was a horrible fail. they didn't announce the boarding of first/business and by the time I arrived at my seat there was almost no overhead room left because people from economy put there bags in the business area. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned enough, I went twice where the floor was soaked, the seat was wet and the sink full of toothpaste. I understand that every passenger should be responsible enough to clean up after themselves, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The crew was friendly enough, but it didnt feel like the personalized service experience that is usually the case (where they introduce themselves, explain the do not disturb sticker etc). Also I think there was something wrong with my seat because it didnt "lay flat" all the way."

We asked Emirates employees to give us a ride in the golf cars. But they all refused, until one had pity on us and gave us a ride. We reached the gate a couple of minutes before the gate closed. When we arrive in Kolkata we were told that out luggage hadn't arrived. They reached our luggage to our Kolkata home a 11:30 pm. What a nightmare. Never again on Emirates."

After going through the whole security screening process to enter the departures area (I boarded in Singapore), the whole security process is performed again to get to the gate. Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. If the airline wants to use a plane that carries 500+ passengers, then use a gate that can accommodate that number."

The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."

Checked threw the computer & it said leaving out of domestic. Go down to the end of the hall, can check in there. It's Qantas alright, not open till 7:00. Start to panic a bit. Stopped someone and asked. They told me I was at the wrong terminal! Get to other, check in. Ask if I have to collect luggage and customs at LAX. No goes right threw. Wrong. Waited for cases at LAX. Have to collect & go threw customs. No cases, lost in Melbourne. Then I was ignored."

Meanwhile as we boarded nearly every passenger had an overhead bag that most certainly weighed more than 15lbs. Not sure what was going on there...also the seats are a little tight when reclined. Once the seat in front of me reclined back I had my knees in the back of the chair the entire flight and I am not a particularly tall person- made for a pretty uncomfortable 15hrs."

With the diversion they saved about 45 min , but the exhausted passengers lost another 3 hrs in their already miserable flight. Also quantas NOT friendly for people traveling with kids.... BEWARE."

Cons: "All 6 of my flights were delayed causing me to miss 2 connections. Had to pay for a hotel and arrived a day late to final destination. Agents, sales desk, all could care less."
Pros: "We loved everything from check in to leaving the plane. They are a lovely bunch. Thank you, Qantas, for hiring wonderful staff members. We hope you treat them well."
Pros: "It was a short flight from Wellington to Sydney. There was no food served but beverages and snack."

The food is of the right portion .The crew is doing what they need to do for the passengers , quiet efficient , smile quite a lot thus making them feel more comfortable . The toilets are being kept clean . Keep it up !"
Cons: "Boarding was chaotic. They started boarding from the back, which is fine, but never indicated that the forward seats could board and never checked to make sure people were boarding in the proper groups. Terrible process."
Pros: "I got the bulkhead seat, so legroom was superb. The inflight dinner was also good (vegetarian gnocchi)."

Pros: "Base price for flight was insanely cheap, booked six months in advance."
Cons: "Drastically different bag weight requirements than my connecting flight meant I had to shuffle everything around to meet the carry-on limits, then pay $100+ as my check bag went up two levels. Even anticipating this, it still cost double what I was expecting; must have been the difference between advance payment and day-of rates, but the degree of difference in cost left me feeling swindled."
Pros: "Although the flight was delayed 20 minutes, the staff were efficient, polite and helpful with my elderly mum."
Cons: "City of Yulara had a city wide communications failure. Other airlines had backup plans to get passengers out with a manual procedure. Jetstar didn't have a manual process and failed to get us on the plane. I missed my connection and they didn't help with my lost ticket. I ended up buying a new international ticket."

Cons: "One young cabin crew member was very polite and welcoming - ? Angela The other older woman would not even acknowledge me or say hello / goodbye despite me saying hello"
Pros: "My seatmate and I commented at the same time, "where's the extra leg room we paid more for?" We we as comfortable as one can be on an 11 hour flight with 350 of our new best friends, but I didn't really see much difference between our seats and those of the regular priced seats."

Cons: "Some policies were not made clear before I arrived to check in. No skateboards as a carry-on. I’ve never had a problem before until Jetstar. Also they overcharged me by $50 to process my visa application before I was allowed to check in. The visa cost $20, Jetstar charged me $70 and would not allow me to apply for the visa on my own at the time of check-in."

Cons: "The chairs were extremely uncomfortable. I have flown Jetstar multiple times, and this was by far the worst. I’m not sure if it was simply my seat, or what. But it made the flight very hard."

Pros: "The first flight (Perth to Melbourne) was delayed 45 minutes and left the bay at 2:20am. Bother flights were on an old A320 plane, so no TV, seat pockets, plug sockets or USB outlets. I was also informed that I had to pick my luggage up at baggage claim in Melbourne and re-Check-in even though I had booked through to Ayers Rock. The re-check-in is a way to get money from clients because I was charged $60AUD for an overweight baggage. Strange, because I was never asked about it in Perth."

Cons: "We were on the tarmak an additional 30 minutes, then in the air for an additional hour due to the weather. It would have been really nice if they had offered us bottled water or something. I was very surprised that even to get water it was a $4 charge. I likely will not be flying Jetstar again. I appreciate a company not nickle and diming with customers."

Pros: "I honestly can't think of a single thing I liked about this flight, but if pressed, perhaps I enjoyed the staff in Honolulu during check in. The rest was horrible. Hated it all."
Cons: "Absolutely horrible. This airline is truly the Greyhound of the sky. There was an absurd amount of families on this flight with really young screaming, ill-behaved children and their indifferent parents. The flight attendants were equally indifferent and unhelpful. You get absolutely nothing for free - everything cost - food, blankets, pillows, etc. on this 10 hour flight. AND when water was requested, it was a small, mouthwash size cup with a note, that "we charge for water." $4. Wow. Probably one of the worst experiences in the air ever. I won't be back. The price was stellar, but after paying for seats, luggage and enduring the people on the flight, I'd prefer to pay more and get A LOT MORE from an airline like Virgin Australia. If you're cutting corners and trying to save money, save yourself and your sanity and spend a little more on quality airline."

Pros: "My partner and I are very tall, so the flight attendant moved us to an exit row free of charge. It might have been a glitch in the system, but we got to use the entertainment system for free and it had a good selection."
Cons: "Weight limitations for carry on bags. You have to pay for EVERYTHING-- blanket, cup of coffee, food/snacks, even on a 12-hour flight."
Cons: "they charged $150 to check in a bag over 7 kg (15 lbs). the size of the bag was fine (20"), and if you fill such a bag with regular clothes, two pairs of shoes, and a toothbrush, you will easily hit 9-10 kg. so this airline expects you to travel with a 20" bag that is only partially filled, which is ridiculous."

Cons: "We were SHOCKED to learn that we could not purchase additional baggage weight allowance online (were not allowed to check in online), and when we got to the counter to check in, were told that each additional kilogram of baggage weight over 20kilos (per person) would cost us $25!!! This is outrageous. We are traveling in Australia/NZ for 23 days with golf clubs and many bags, spending lots of money in these countries, and were very upset to learn of this archaic policy."
Cons: "I don't like how you charge outrageous fees for bags if you make the mistake of checking your bag at the airport instead of online. I just got my phone in March and someone else made the reservation for me. He didn't know about checking the bag online either. I needed my bag, so I was forced to pay the outrageous fee. I feel ripped off and very unhappy about it."

Cons: "You have to pay for everything, checked bags, entertainment, food. I'm used to this on the short domestic flights but a 10 to 11 hour flight that is international is ridiculous. The food I paid for was terrible and not cheap."

I don't fly internationally often and I was anxious, they did not have time or interest in helping me. I could've been on a United flight with my parter 10 hours earlier for the same cost, had I known I would actually pay far more than the cost upfront. I will not be flying Jetstar again."

Cons: "This is a problem not confined to Jetstar, but which affects the industry as a whole. Why do the board sick passengers? There was a man seated two rows behind us who coughed and wheezed the whole way from Cairns to Melbourne. He couldn't clear his lungs. He had no business on a plane infecting the rest of us."
Cons: "We had a 4 hour layover in Melbourne and had to pick up our bags and recheck them but we couldn't check them in until 2 hours before our flight and there was a 145aud charge for excess weight they only a!low 15 kg virgin allows 23 and tiger air allows 20. I will not book on them again! They did not even offer water to me the attendants were too busy making sure everyone who had preorder got their order."
Cons: "room behind seats very short, staff not very attentive to those who hadn't paid for on-board options."
