Pros: "boarding was super easy. the airline crew members are very polite and accommodating to any request or concern you might have."
Cons: "Less delays"
Pros: "the ANA folks at the departure check-in went out of their way to get me on my flight. You see, I got to the airport right before boarding. Their response? They literally escorted me through security, waited for me at the immigration checkpoint, and brought me to the boarding gate! I love ANA! :)"
Pros: "There was lots of leg room. Crew was nice."
Cons: "One of our seats had a broken recliner button."
Pros: "The crew was not amazing and the plane was ok. Our flight to LAX NH106 was delayed 6 hours. We slept in the airline lounge and given minimal compensation."
Cons: "Place the passengers in a hotel rather than have us us crammed in a lounge where you can hear angry passengers arguing."
Pros: "Attentive and friendly service, good food, fairly spacious seat."
Pros: "I would definitely fly ANA again they have a fenomenal service and I love the politeness of the crew"
Cons: "Noisy passengers, no paper towels in the toilets only thin napkins. Limited food options."
Pros: "It was a quick flight, and as it left at night Japan time, I was able to actually sleep 7 hours or so of the full flight."
Pros: "The cabin crew was great in services"
Cons: "Priority not thought"
Cons: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."
Pros: "Even though the flight was around 45 min, still got a nice cup of consomme soup while I was working on the in-flight WiFi. Overall good for a short flight but basic interior with poor visibility of safety video on 787-9."
Cons: "Boarding is a bit chaotic. Only people at the front of the queue can see the correct places to stand, so many people were trying to push in the front of the queue because the signs weren't visible from some angles or from far away. Basically couldn't see the inflight safety videos from my seat (17K) because of the curvature of the overhead bins and positions of the few screens (no seat-back monitors)."
Pros: "Service by the crew and how boarding is organized by different queing lines for quick and more efficient boarding process."
Cons: "The personal entertaiment touch screen worked intermitently. When the touch screen did not work, i had to use the remote control to do what i want it to do. Boarding process experience can be improve with better sign for the queing lines and have boarding crew station at end of every quing lines to make sure all passengers are queing in the correct line."
Pros: "Packed in like sardines with no ability to recline for a red eye flight of 10h was excruciating. Food was not good on this flight though the kids meal was a nice touch."
Cons: "Seats, food"
Pros: "I traveled with my wife and twin sons who turned two last month. It was our first time to fly with the boys, and we were nervous about the flight for this reason. Thanks to ANA's staff both on the ground and in the air, everything went very smoothly. When we arrived at Haneda Airport (around 1:30pm), we went to the Special Assistance counter to get a stroller. The staff was friendly and patient, and didn't rush us at all. (It took a little while to get our things in order.) I was surprised to learn that we could check in from there, drop off our checked luggage and receive boarding passes, as well as an airport stroller. In addition, the boy who was awake at the time received an ANA airplane clip. We didn't get to the gate in time for pre-boarding. I was dismayed to find out that we'd have to take a bus to the aircraft. We had the maximum number of carry-on bags, plus two babies, only one of whom was in a carrier, and we learned that the stroller couldn't go on the bus. A gate agent brought our carry-ons onto the bus. She found priority seats for us and a place nearby to fit a bag that couldn't fit on one of our laps. On board, the cabin attendants were attentive and friendly, and gave toys to the boys. When we arrived at Hagi-Iwami Airport, two of them even carried all of our carry-on bags off the plane for us. (They also helped with our carry-on luggage upon returning to Tokyo. In fact, we had forgotten to reserve a stroller for when we deplaned, and a flight attendant tried to find one near the gate, to no avail.) When I think about all the positive experiences we had in a span of about three and a half hours, I am amazed at all the different people who helped to make our journey easier. I cannot imagine it happening in my home country or on most airlines I have flown."
Cons: "Only the fact that we had to take a bus to the aircraft at Haneda, but the gate agents made it very easy for us."
Pros: "I got a great value for money ticket from KAYAK, TQ!! ANA is an excellent airline, better service, better leg rooms and cuter crew members than than SQ!!"
Cons: "In flight meal could be improved"
Pros: "The in-flight entertainment is fantastic, always loaded with new movies to watch. The same free drinks (beer/wine/etc)"
Cons: "The boarding was terrible. They called for groups, asked everyone to form 2 lines, but after the lines were formed, closed one boarding lane. Some people were late to board for first-class, causing even more boarding delay and chaos. There were 5 crew at the boarding gate just standing and watching. I selected a seat closer to the rear of the cabin, which received much worse attention than any other flight with ANA. I didn't get asked for a drink until very late, and the second time around there were almost no drink selections available. My seat was also broken and would not recline. Aside from the actual airline, the passengers in the rear were very inconsiderate. There was a big family with several children running around/crying/playing with seat-back trays the entire 11+ hour flight. Again, this is not entirely the fault of the airline, but it was a discomfort."
Pros: "Flight was ok"
Cons: "Again I had a problem with water bottle, I asked small water bottle but they didnt give me one and i asked if they can fill my 2,5 yo water bottle they only fill it half. I asked again for water hours later and they said I need to wait because they will serve dinner (which is 30mins later) This is just very unpleasant experience and I felt like a bad person asking for only water"
Pros: "Great service by the crew! Excellent food and flight was on time,"
Cons: "Film and movie offerings and music entertainment while on board should be improved with more selections."
Cons: "Chose to fly directly across Pacific through multiple thunderstorms instead of routing through Alaska and Canada. Half of the flight was 4/5 level turbulence."
Pros: "Seating was comfortable, staff were very attentive and obliging, offered tea, coffee water etc frequently. Blankets were also on offer. No comments to make in food or entertainment as not on offer ( as a domestic flight would not expect them)."
Pros: "The plane wasn't that full so I had a lot of space."
Cons: "the seat itself is still uncomfortable to put in the extended position to relax. Plus the headrest doesn't move very well so it's hard to get a comfortable head position when trying to sleep. The crew took forever getting everyone on the plane I have no idea why it took so long considering they're worn so many people on the flight. The food wasn't very good except for the marble loaf."
Pros: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."
Pros: "I'm always in awe at how the crew operates, everything is tidy and the services are efficient and utmost hospitality. Look forward to flying with ANA again."
Pros: "Excellent, polite service, very comfortable seats."
Pros: "Staff were very nice. Very fast service as well."
Cons: "Seats were a bit uncomfortable"
Pros: "Ground staff was very helpful, we had an overweight luggage and they kind out provided a complementary package box to redistribute the weight instead of charging us extra baggage fees. The flight attendants were caring and offered great service. The entretenimient system on board was easy to use and had a large library of movies."
Pros: "The flight was very well organized and the plane left on time and arrived exactly on time. The service was excellent even though the plane was close to full."
Pros: "The meals were delicious. Japanese option was a seafood bento and breakfast grilled whitefish. Tasted fantastic and well presented."
Cons: "The premium economy seat was about average. Comfort okay but not the best for sleep."
Pros: "Free alcohol on international flights is always a plus."
Cons: "The movie selection was not as expansive as I've seen previously."
Cons: "I asked to move my seat to an aisle seat in order to not disrupt a neighbor when needing to use the washroom and was kindly given another seat by the flight attendant but then was later asked to move back to my center seat. Having me move around caused confusion and made a ackward situation for me."
Cons: "No individual air conditioning. Centralized AC got hot. Old plane 777 Once I got to lax, there were no guide on getting to domestic connecting flight (united). After getting pampered with awesome ANA service, you get slapped with horrible united customer service."
Pros: "High quality fit out, amazing flight crew, great food."
Cons: "Movie selection could be greater."
Pros: "Meal from KUL to HAN was tasty. The separation of the gravy based dish from the rice was a great idea to prevent the soak up. Personal touch screen responsive and quality definition."
Pros: "Most comfortable economy flight I've ever taken, good legroom, excellent customer service, tasty food, best toilets!"
Pros: "My 96-yr-old father was given an airport wheelchair after we checked his own transport chair. He was wheeled through security and to the departure gate. We were advised they changed us to a bulkhead row w/an unoccupied seat adjacent to his. Twice during the flight one of the flight attendants came to tell him that she would help him off the plane so to wait for her after the rest of the passengers disembarked. The meal was very tasty.Chicken karaage was not crispy but I wouldn't expect it to be. The rest of the items were well seasoned with the right consistency. Dessert was a flan custard with passion fruit sauce (very Hawaii!), even including a few seeds from the fruit as garnish."
Pros: "crew was very polite and everything was smooth."
Pros: "Spacious Premium Economy seats with excellent flight attendants looking after general wellness of customers."
Cons: "In-Flight Wi-Fi has archaic plans… 30MB Chat App-only Plan for 2-Hours. It also usually has a pause button to halt and resume the internet session later, but there wasn’t one this time."
Pros: "One of several preferred airlines when flying to Asia. Really enjoy their service, and it's wonderful to wake up to many beauties in view!"
Pros: "The service was excellent"
Pros: "Overall, the staff was amazing, so as the food and cleanliness"
Cons: "The space between the seats in economic seat"
Cons: "In flight food service by cabin crew was spotty, sometimes they gave you coffee with dinner , sometime not, they are very forgetful. Please improve on this issue."
Pros: "Staff was great as usual"
Cons: "Many entertainment monitors including my row of seats were stuck for a while. The “please fasten your seatbelt” was on the screen and made the monitor unusable for the first 1hr of the flight"
Pros: "Yes and yes"
Cons: "Not sure because I have never had a better experience."
Pros: "The crew was terrific. Always smiling and helpful."
Cons: "If you need more space economy is a tight fit. It would be better to upgrade."
Cons: "Entertainment including games such as backgammon, black Jack, and poker are not available although they are on every other airline I used with high quality game programs that are clos to live games"
Pros: "Great seats and efficient service all round."
Pros: "Great crew and cabin!"
Cons: "Meals were just ok"
Cons: "Singapore airlines use their antique aged flights for services to chc.unconfortable and a poor in-flight entertainment system"
Pros: "(Previous PE comparisons: Turkish AL, Air NZ, SAS) Ease of check-in, on-time dep/arr, crew attention and responsiveness, seating within the range to be expected of this class."
Cons: "Plane condition: Cosmetic plastic panel below monitor and seat back pocket on Seat 31E fell off when foot rest was lowered; had previously been secured by adhesive tape. Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."
Pros: "Five Star Singapore Service on board the aircraft."
Pros: "Same as my trip to Japan. Crew was great, boarding was easy, seats were pretty comfortable, food was great, and entertainment awesome. Gave socks and toothbrush amenities, along with the normal pillow and blanket."
Cons: "It felt a tad bit hot in the plane. No personal vents to adjust to one's own desire."
Pros: "Good air line. Threat you well, enough food very good service."
Pros: "The lunch and dinner menu was excellent"
Cons: "more bathrooms."
Cons: "First experience with Singapore where the crew made a negative impression. As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."
Cons: "the food was mediocre at best - had to ask for water couple of times"
Cons: "We were not provided vegetarian food on two legs of journey although we had earlier informed the airlines."
Pros: "I booked regular economy and flew to Tokyo that way, but put a bid in for premium economy for the flight home and got it. It's not a big upgrade (bigger display panel, a little more leg room, seat tilt and it has a leg rest) but those things made the flight for me."
Cons: "I don't have much on the down side front aside from the usual "would like more leg room" and "more seat tilt" so nothing new to report"
Pros: "Most everything"
Cons: "Crying babies made it tough to sleep the whole flight"
Pros: "Crew service"
Cons: "Very old entertainment system. Poor screen visibility. Cramped"
Pros: "ending meal was very late like an hour or less before landing"
Cons: "racial discrimination by the flight attendants thinking that I didn't know Japanese language even though I was white. I could see it happening."
Pros: "Comfy chairs and good food on Singapore Airlines."
Cons: "Some of the male crew didn't do anything, the females did all the interactive work in serving and helping the disabled as far as I could see."
Pros: "Everything was pretty great. Crew is very nice. Food was very good actually. 2 meals with snacks when asked. Hot towels were given a couple of times. Drinks were served and offered throughout the flight. Socks and toothbrush also given. Entertainment was great with a good mix of movies. Chairs were comfy and leg space was ok."
Cons: "I don't think I would complain about the space otherwise except that the person in front of me decided to recline their chair all the way back. It was a tight and fairly uncomfortable ride the rest of the time."
Pros: "I traveled Premium Economy. It was well worth the extra cost over regular Economy. The food was great, the crew was great, the flight was very comfortable."
Pros: "The food is good. The service is excellent, always smiling and attentive."
Cons: "Not enough quantity of each type of food. I did not get the cold noodle I want and end up eating sandwiches."
Pros: "The crew was very kind and helpful."
Cons: "My daughter had the vegetarian oriental - and it was basically a ball of slim. My son had the lactose free meal and it was broccoli and potatoes. We switched our return flight meals to the regular in-flight meal. It was better, but not great."
Pros: "Crew was very pleasant!"
Cons: "Cabin area warm for a 9.5 hour flight! Food selection was not much."
Pros: "I always felt attended to, great customer service, clean and best bang for your buck"
Pros: "The seat comes with foot rest attached to the front seat."
Cons: "I asked for decaf coffee and the attendant totally forgot about my request."
Pros: "The air stewardesses took their time to get back to me about a question I posed to them. It took 2 stewardesses and 3 efforts."
Pros: "Excellent service by flight crew. Good selection for entertainment. Flight was enjoyable."
Pros: "Great service, great experience."
Cons: "I liked it all."
Pros: "Best economy experience I've ever had. The cabin crew is very attentive, constantly coming around with drinks and water refills. They also had decent light snacks in case you were hungry between meals. I also loved the chairback setup and the entertainment unit. If flying economy, Singapore will be my airline of choice."
Cons: "Food was meh. Above average, but still not amazing."
Cons: "On my trip to Japan, the staff was incredibly rude. Horrible commendations. The controls didn't work. And the desert had mold in it."
Pros: "Overall very good."
Cons: "Weren't informed of status of connecting flight while in flight. Learnt that the connecting flight was held back on arrival in terminal."
Pros: "Great entertainment, good service, clean plane."
Cons: "The lasagna was pretty dry and meh."
Pros: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."
Pros: "Great customer service, food was fine, seats were comfy in economy too. Definitely would fly again and recommend to everyone!"
Pros: "I have never encountered nicer more professional staff. They always had smiles and seemed to really enjoy their jobs. I always tell friends if they have a chance to fly Singapore Airlines to do it. They won't regret it. Especially on long flights."
Cons: "I was in economy class but I would have liked more leg room. My knees where hurting from having little leg room."
Pros: "Comfortable seats."
Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."
Pros: "I like that I could check in 2 suitcase and able to choose my sitting when it's available."
Pros: "The flight was an hour shorter than i expected. The staff was around and attentive. I felt like i won the lottery with flights"
Cons: "Not one complaint"
Pros: "The crew was amazing!!"
Cons: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."
Pros: "I would definitely fly with Singapore again. Their staff is super attentive, they have lots of options for in-flight entertainment and things generally went smoothly. I didn't sign up for a special allergy meal ahead of time but they were able to accommodate me anyways."
Cons: "The food was overcooked, mushy and tasted old. The seats were small and didn't recline very much. I think these things are kind of normal now on most airlines."
Pros: "I loved the entertainment, the kind staff, and the extras they gave out to try to make us as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "My boyfriend is very tall, 6'6. On the flights to and from, even though he was on he aisle side seat, it was very difficult for him to have enough room for his legs, thus making my space that much less. In the future, I think we would benefit from booking either the seat behind us for him that had more leg room, or the seats in front of us that were the first seats of all rows."
Cons: "Love that they fly an a380 into christchurch - a bit overkill but was told it is cheaper to overnight the plane in christchurch vs Sydney or Melbourne"
Pros: "A lot of food was served - much more than any flight in the USA"
Pros: "Great crew, food, lots of free wine"
Pros: "Crew was amazing, first time on Economy Premium, really worth it."
Pros: "fast trip from japan all ontime quick boarding and unloading"
Cons: "the food main meal on an australian airline consisted of meal a) sushi etc b)Japanese style chicken and boiled rice (chicken thigh full of fat and sauce was greasy) could not eat c)pasta twists with dried up sauce (could not eat) very poor quality food will bring my own next time no plain option"
Pros: "an amazing flying experience with pleasant crews who served their customers with hearts and their lovely smiles!"
Pros: "The flight was on time, service with a smile. Staff great."
Pros: "Almost everything."
Cons: "Flying on 8 Jan is a time when there a lot of holiday makers heading home or perhaps just going on holiday. Lots of young children and a baby crying right behind me wasn't the most relaxing but I realise that nothing can be done about that."
Pros: "Not a lot to like. Some flight attendants were nice. Others not so much."
Cons: "Filthy toilets at the beginning of the flight. If they were ever cleaned they didn’t get behind the toilet or the walls. The walls stained with something dripping. Paint peeling in toilet. No room at all. I am small and with seat in front pushed back I couldn’t move."
Cons: "- There was a massive line for boarding and it took a while. We ended up leaving a little late because of it. - The crew overlooked the row I was in a few times. We had to call for assistance to get rubbish removed. - One of the toilets didn't have running water in the basin from the second hour of the flight onwards. - The galley in the back was locked for most of the trip. - The food wasn't cooked properly. - Everyone was asked if they wanted a drink with my meal except for me."
Pros: "Crew were really good. Had lactose allergy but no meals available for me onboard. Couldn't get to a resolution as we were unsure on ingredients but crew did everything they could. Were very friendly about whole thing"
Cons: "Delay but stuff happens eh."
Cons: "Disembarking.... No gate so had to get bus to shuttle to terminal... 1 bus for nearly 1000 passengers.... Took nearly 90 minutes to get off plane."
Pros: "Excellent service. Comfortable seats."
Cons: "Nothing comes to mind"
Pros: "Overall experience was decent. Food, boarding and entertainment was top notch"
Cons: "Super cramped for a long haul flight. Could barely organize myself. Could barely reach down to get a book out of my bag. Thank goodness i was sitting next to my husband because we had to be totally in each others space to be comfortable;((("
Cons: "Late arrival 15 min taxi to gate 22 mins wait for bags and$23 yo get to International Terminal. Next time fly via Melbourne"
Pros: "Really appreciate the food and entertainment Qantas provides on these mid-haul flights"
Pros: "Got us safely to our destination"
Cons: "Seats were far less comfortable and smaller with less legroom than our Qantas qf8 flight"
Pros: "Friendly customer service crew, nice amenities kit, and quick boarding."
Pros: "Nice airline with lots of room for a very long flight. Seats next to me were empty so I could lay down but unfortunately a bad respiratory illness prevented me from doing that. But still comfortable. Nice variety of food."
Cons: "All good. Movie selection could have been a little better maybe."
Cons: "breakfast service slow and comlcated"
Cons: "I was not able to board the plane and was told that I needed to apply for ETA. I did and was not able to do it online. Then I needed to call the embassy about a required visa as a visitor. None of this was presented before. I have not traveled to Australia before, so I had no idea this needed to be done. As of now I am still at home trying to find a solution to this requirement."
Cons: "Took 2.5 hours to get the first refreshments. While there was some turbulence, when they finally did get the carts rolling there were clearly time management and inventory issues. They recovered and the rest of the trip went smoothly, but not a good way to start a 15 hour flight."
Pros: "Helpful service and comfortable seats"
Cons: "Don't choose seats 9 A/B/C as there is a bulkhead and not window in this aisle (Boeing 737-800)"
Pros: "I like food and service of crew members"
Cons: "Yes I like it"
Pros: "Very little. Even though I'm sure I wasn't suppose to, my seat allowed me to put my feet up on the wall. At least I was able to elevate them a bit."
Cons: "First, the flight was delayed an hour and a half. No gate was announced until just before boarding. Afraid of missing my flight, I didn't doze even though I had been awake for 20 hours at this point. Once I got on the plane, the seats were so small in economy my hips were pressed against the arm rests and I am not a large person. The man next to me was pressing through over to my side. We both had difficulty opening the tray for meals because they were in the arm rests (not that it mattered, we were never served good). The controls for the entertainment and lights were in the arm rests as well and there was no way to see them because your thighs were pressed against them. The screen for my entertainment was crooked and flickered. The charging port did not work for my cell phone. The earphone jack had to be wiggled and wiggled and then I had to hold my leg perfectly still not to bump it. I eventually gave up trying to use the entertainment screen. I preordered my meal online, but waiting for dinner, already exhausted, I dozed off. I didn't get dinner and no one came around the rest of the trip and offered any refreshments. No water, no snack, nothing. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure I saw a crew member for the rest of the flight."
Pros: "Nothing. The very best parts were still mediocre"
Cons: "This flight was so uncomfortable. The seats were small, hard and crammed together. Qantas should be ashamed of making people deal with that on a 13+ hour flight. They kept waking us all up and in general staff could provide little"
Pros: "Friendly crew."
Cons: "Nothing that is unique to Qantas or just flying in general."
Cons: "2 hours late leaving"
Pros: "Qantas has really upped it's service in the last couple of years, their crew on this flight were very professional."
Cons: "They did not have vegetarian food in spite of my request."
Cons: "Delayed Boarding and they didn't say anything."
Cons: "Food: Japanese fried chicken was soggy. Economy space is cramped, and stuck next to a guy who invaded into my space and guy in front leant his seat back. Overnight flight but couldn't sleep when it was so cramped (when usually I can without problem on other flights)"
Pros: "Cleanliness, really courteous staff, comfortable seats, entertainment from an app :-)"
Cons: "our ESTA registration has been cancelled, our application for the US travel visa have been rejected. We would like to have refund"
Pros: "I flew over NYE and liked the complimentary sparking wine provided so we didn't miss out on the celebrations. Also food, staff and service was really good!"
Cons: "My preference is to not sit towards the back, but I couldn't check in online and there wasn't anything else available at the counter"
Cons: "My name is Parag Mokashi, Indian Passport No. Z1788332 had booked 2 return air tickets from Singapore to Auckland with details as follows: Qantas Airways Flight QF6 - Depart Singapore Changi Apt, SG (SIN) 01Dec16 (Thu) 23:50 Arrive Sydney Kingsford Smith Apt, AU (SYD) 02Dec16 (Fri) 10:50 Flight QF145 - Depart Sydney Kingsford Smith Apt, AU (SYD) 02Dec16 (Fri) 11:55 Arrive Auckland International Apt, NZ (AKL) 02Dec16 (Fri) 17:10 Flight QF144 - Depart Auckland International Apt, NZ (AKL) 13Dec16 (Tue) 08:35 Arrive Sydney Kingsford Smith Apt, AU (SYD) 13Dec16 (Tue) 10:15 Flight QF81 - Depart Sydney Kingsford Smith Apt, AU (SYD) 13Dec16 (Tue) 11:15 Arrive Singapore Changi Apt, SG (SIN) 13Dec16 (Tue) 16:30 I had booked these tickets online through CheapTickets.sg on 17th September 2016. While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned. On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day. Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days. I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. I also lost one day of my hotel booking in Auckland and had to forfeit the money. I and my wife had to go through the psychological trauma of being refused to board the plane, then the next day running around the Australian embassy / VFS global office for trying to get the Australian transit visa and facing the uncertainty regarding our new Zealand trip which was planned well in advance for our 25th wedding anniversary"
Cons: "Didn't bother to offer acting other than fruit juice, water and tea or coffee with the meal seemed in a hurry to get the meal service over"
Pros: "The check in process was seamless - we did not queue at all The crew were great and gave us a bottle of bubbles when we landed The food was surprisingly good"
Cons: "The entertainment on board was really disappointing"
Pros: "Qantus flights were great, really appretiated the extra care they took in ensuring we made our connecting flights after delays and then compensated us for American Airlines stuff up with our luggage."
Pros: "The flight was smooth, crew accommodating, and amenities were great. I thought the flight would seem like forever but it didn't."
Cons: "Can't think of anything to make it better"
Cons: "1. Qantas was not interested in the fact that we were seniors and and that we were distress from our flight from USA. KAYAK SEND THESE COMMENTS ON TO QANTAS My phone no here in New Zealand is 0223446325 I can be contacted on this no. for more comment."
Pros: "Fast self checkin"
Cons: "Entertainment screen doesn't work. Plane is freezing cold. Crew was very rude and ignores my requests. Never come when ask for service and completely ignores my first request of an extra blanket if possible. Never comeback to let me know if they have one or not and I was freezing to sick. I have to walk to the back of the plane to find someone to bring me a blanket. Yet he tries to cast me off by lying that he could not find one. When he realize that I really need one he said I can take one from empty seat if I can find any. But after me finding a blanket of another color on one of the empty seat he take it away rudely saying that it is "not for you". Come on I wouldn't take it if no one cares about me freezing and he finally bring me a blanket. And the crew was very unfriendly to me the entire time. When I tried to lay down a little, somehow it surprised the passenger who is behind me, the crew make such a scene that ask me outloud "be careful when moving your seat" well I did. Basically they make no efford to care about anything about me but are super nice to the people who's is behind me who are white and elder. Such obviously discrimination that I cannot tolerant. I have been having frequent international travel for the past 7 years and this is the first time I have such unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this company to anyone. be warned."
Pros: "easy and convenient. Great service"
Pros: "We have travelled a few times by Qantas because we come from Australia. Their planes are safe. Our plane got delayed ( and this is not the first time we have had this with Qantas), and then we missed our connecting flight. The ground staff were not helpful at all. Our connecting flight was with LAn airlines and LAN were very cooperative and gave us another later flight though they were not obligated to do so. Qantas are generally too much by the book and things always go wrong. I still use them but it is a risk that I need to consider more next time. LAN/Latam helped us out because they are more customer oriented. Anyway, good luck"
Cons: "Qantas are too stingy and not customer focussed. We missed our flight due to their plane late by 6 hours and they did not offer assistance even though we missed our connecting flight. The other carrier helped us out, phew!"
Cons: "Quick service"
Pros: "Great check in, comfy plane, with arm rests that go fully up, even when the plane is taking off and landing."
Cons: "The lamb meatballs with couscous was the worst tasting thing I've ever eaten on a plane ever."
Pros: "Good fresh food and generous portions plus extra snacks"
Cons: "Plane much toooo...small for a 5 hr flight. I am 1.82m and tired of other passengers clambering over me"
Pros: "Nothing because they did not allow us to take the flight. We had to buy new sets of tickets."
Cons: "They did not do their best to help us talk to the Australian embassy to allow us to re enter Sydney even as transit passengers just to be able to take our flight with Philippine airlines early the next morning. I know we made a mistake of getting flight to Manila in Sydney. We should have just gotten flight from Auckland instead but it was an honest mistake. They should have just allowed us since we know it's possible. We spent 14, 000NZ additional for that mistake."
Pros: "New plane very comfortable."
Cons: "Delayed slightly"
