The lounge itself was also ordinary compared to others, no Amenity kits or PJs in business class - even Virgin Australia has that! I was so excited to be travelling Singapore again given past experiences but now Im not sure I will want to fly them again."

Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

Everything from the welcome, to the meal, to the level of service is great. I really felt that NZ treated the Econ Plus cabin as distinct from Economy (including having 2 dedicated washrooms), whereas on AC it felt like we were merely Economy with better seats. I compare NZ and AC because we were so genuinely impressed with what we purchased. We would definitely book NZ Econ Plus again, and the January seat sale is a great time to do so!"

We were at the airport at least 2 1/2 hours before boarding time. The mistake could have been rectified, we were told it would need an email from Virgin to confirm and change the booking. We photographed and sent through passport details. We phoned the booing site, we phoned Virgin, we were put on hold for 25 mins while the booking site phoned Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us out! My husband was not able to board the flight - no refund, no help - and the sad part was, it wasn't for a holiday - it was to visit and help his 87yr old father-in-law who had fallen and cracked his spine. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

Boarding was quite slow and then takeoff was late but it was nice that the captain explained it."

Pros: "I was excited to come back to the USA after a long vacation. When we arrived at the airport, the security started asking me questions immediately even before I checked in. They demanded I show them the ticket before it was even printed. When I explained that I was trying to check-in for the first time. They told me I was going to be reviewed upstairs and put a sticker in my passport. I proceeded to check in and just walked thru the normal security measures. After scanning my bags in security, I discovered there was no security meeting and proceeded to my gate. After the gate, everyone in line was subjected to a second security screen. This was a manual search and all articles were removed and repacked again. Then we proceeded to the plane entry where everyone needed to verify passport and ticket again. Later in the flight, I was having indigestion problem from my documented medical acid reflux problem and asked for a cup of water. He said sure and walked away. He never came back again.10 minutes later, I pressed the attendant call button again. 10 minutes later and no one came over. 15 minutes after that Albert came back over and said, "I see you have your call light on, please put your seat back up again." I can complied and he immediately turned off the light and walked away. 10 minutes later, Albert came by with the water cart and parked it right behind my seat. He proceeded to hand out water to everyone behind my seat. 30 minutes later the water cart arrived and I finally received my water (75 minutes after I asked!) Thanks Albert, I'll be following up with your management to see that disciplinary action is taken."

Cons: "I did not enjoy the tiny, cramped seats - the smallest I've been squeezed into in many years. Hard bottom and narrow; when the girl in front of me put her seat back, her headrest was right in front of my teeth. Also, they use the old school dual-headphones that don't sit flat on your ears and there was no jack available for personal ear buds. Opportunities for improvement!"

The staff at the desk [a man and a woman] were extremely helpful and verified a change would be acceptable and they put in all of the work to make it happen - we returned an hour later and they had switched us to a flight from SYD - SFO - LAX on Qantas airlines. Things from there went off without a hitch ; while our departure time was still 5 hours later, we arrived to the US earlier than we would have on the SYD-NAN-LAX flight."

It did not provide the extra legroom as advertised because the door jutted out into my leg space. Add on to this that it was freezing in my seat, to the point where I had to borrow a blanket from my seat mate. I have one last flight on Jet Star, and I'm not sure I'll fly with them again."

Jetstar needs to be more up front with how its checked baggage fees work."
