Cons: "Only real complaint I have and I don't even know if it's a valid complaint but seats were small and the remote to control the in flight entertainment was broken."

Pros: "All the flight attendants were very nice and they had amazing attitudes--especially on my flight going TO Hawai'i. All the flight attendants had smiles on their faces and they were always ready and willing to assist passengers. Every time they delivered something, they were always smiling; even when passengers asked for more assistance, the flight attendants delivered service with a smile!! Amazing!! This was my first time flying Korean Air, but it will not be my last!! My experience with Korean Air was fantastic!! I will definitely fly Korean Air again!! Thank you!!"

Pros: "From the April 12 Sydney to Seoul flight, the landing at Seoul was so smooth, so professionally done I hardly knew we had touched ground. That Captain has much to teach all pilots wanting a higher standard to their skills and the recognition of these standards. That caption is worth his/her weight in gold, giving Koran Air a gold standard. To compare, the landing at Osaka April 12, late at night, was done by an apprentice who has much to learn from your gold star captain.."
Cons: "The same Sydney to Seoul flight, crossed the Qld Great Barrier Reef around 11am April 12. Having a window seat, so much detail of the Reef was visible which greatly surprised me. Beautiful colours galore. Having my face glued to the window at this time, I was unaware of cabin happenings. A male steward tapped me on the shoulder and said "Close your window blind". The beautiful scene outside my window was a first and being 76 old, likely not to happen again for me. Naturally, I ask the male steward "Why", He repeated 4 more times, "Close your window blind". Each time my reply was the same, "Why". On his last request, his voice raised, so in turn, my reply was raised. Sadly, he walked away silently, hands waving in disgust. Only then did I realise the cabin was completely black, no light seen. If at 11am, traditionally, this is a custom, a service to passengers on that particular flight, the male steward didn't say. He clearly expected to be obeyed and didn't expect a challenge. But also felt I didn't deserve a reason for his, what clearly was a demand. Would he have treated a male passenger differently. I flew economy because that is what my budget demands. Flying is not common for me but certainly a thrill that demands a window seat. I give much praise to all other staff, especially the captain landing that very craft at Seoul. At my age, years of experience allows me to be aware and notice. A beautifully presented mature female stewardess in economy, served me. When I requested a beer with the main meal, she said I will give you my favourite. I knew this was double talk for having only one brand beer left, that was a weak American beer. I watched this lovely lady many times being distracted by other staff with questions and 2 other passengers near me, asking for changes. She never blew it. And she passed me in the Sydney terminal, end of the day for her and believe it or not, she remembered me. She was not in such a hurry to get to her destination, that she gave time by turning her body, giving me a wide smile with eyes saying, Yes, I served you. You see, she's never off the job of customer service. I learned much, flying with Korean Air. Many thanks, Sally"

Numerous intermittent announcements: [The usual preflight safety briefing, the mid-flight seat-belt and arrival eta announcements, the mid-flight turbulence and temperature comments, the customs-forms hand-outs, the duty-free inflight shopping opportunity announcement, the eventual apologetic conclusion of the duty-free, inflight shopping opportunity] together spoiled my calculated chance of finishing a short movie."

Cons: "Every Korean flight I had this trip was delayed. Created problems when Korean Air gives you 1 hour to transfer at Incheon. When transferring, all passengers need to go through security again and there are long lines. Airport attendants were not nice and made us ask people to cut in line. After running through the airport, we then find out the plane was delayed an hour to accommodate other delayed connections! They could have told us this before but only rushed us off."

Cons: "As I was about to board, I was denied carrying on my backpack with the few items I would need for the flight, so I was forced to put them into my carry-on suitcase which was loaded elsewhere, out of reach.. The insanity of it all - so glad the woman can count to two - is that I was forced by this angry person to carry my laptop and tablet onto the airplane in my hand, as she absolutely would not allow me to put them into my empty backpack, claiming this would constitute a third item. Of course, no one else was forced to take their computers out of their protective cases, only myself, because it was a backpack. I am 66 years old, travelling alone, and frankly am not the only international traveler who experiences unbelievable rudeness when in US airports."

I missed my connecting flight in Seoul because of the delay, but the attendant let me know well before that I would miss the flight. In Seoul they took me to their very nice Hyatt hotel where I stayed the night and they offered me a very excellent buffet dinner at no cost."

I will state for a fact that Cathay Pacific only charges US$150 for the 3rd baggage and is already up to 32kgs. Perhaps this is something KE would like to look into. In spite of Cathay Pacific's excess baggage rates, they have a smaller leg room in the economy class."

Pros: "The aircraft was clean, new, spacious and quiet. The bathrooms were regularly maintained. The food quality, selection and quantity was excellent for the economy class. Even the serving utensils were solid metal and had a very high quality feel to it. Having an endless supply of mid flight snacks was also appreciatd I always like the warm wet towels, which were offered at take off and landing. The entertainment choices were endless, but because it had USB and regular power, I was able to work on my laptop and listen to my podcasts on phone without worrying about running out of battery."
Cons: "The crew lacked its usual pep and cheer. For some reason they seemed very introverted and tired. First time on Singapore Airline that I noticed. The amenities kit was a bit on the cheap side. Also, only the supplied two prong headphones could be used with the entertainment system, I would have preferred an option to use my high end ones -- this was the main reason I chose to just work and listen to my own music/podcasts instead of watching a movie. We boarded and disembarked through the business sections and the aisles were too narrow. The announcements were hard to hear and the temperature was set too low for half of the flight (to kept fluctuating requiring constant adjustment of blanket/jacket). Having said that will keep flying them."

After 10 minutes of maneuver, I decided to ask a flight attendant to help me figure out what happened to my seat. I pressed the button asking for attendant and waited for 5 minutes, no response. So I pressed the button again. IT showed that I had already pressed the button. So I kept waiting. But then no one ever came for me the 9 hours until it was time for the meal before getting off. Sitting straight sleeping was a really terrible experience!"

While I was going through the queues, the check in time ran out and, by the time I got to talk to someone at the desk to pay for the bag, the woman told me the plane didn't accept any more passengers... while I was still trying to get someone from the airline to help me! ONE HOUR BEFORE DEPARTURE. The plane was supposed to departure at 8:15 and I was still there at 7:15 trying to send my backpack to the cargo area...the solution? Re-book the flight, make me pay $185 in penalties and fees, plus $160-$200 for luggage and the difference of price when booking another flight."

Pros: "Ive flown domestically countless times and I love flying but when coming home from vacation in NZ I was all about Air New Zealand! This was my first long haul flight so I have nothing to compare to. The staff was wonderful, the flight was uneventful allowing me to enjoy my in flight entertainment, which was varied enough to keep me entertained. Staff was responsive during my flight to and from and seats were reasonably comfortable. Seats were prepped with blanket pillow and headphones. I loved the seat to seat messaging. Food was forgettable. Mostly I snacked on protein bars so I didnt eat much but there was ice cream at one point!"

While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned. On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day. Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days. I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. I also lost one day of my hotel booking in Auckland and had to forfeit the money. I and my wife had to go through the psychological trauma of being refused to board the plane, then the next day running around the Australian embassy / VFS global office for trying to get the Australian transit visa and facing the uncertainty regarding our new Zealand trip which was planned well in advance for our 25th wedding anniversary"

I prefer boarding by rows, especially when traveling with my young son. Air crew seemed pretty uninterested in anything beyond the basic requirements of the job."

It was - good seats, smooth takeoff and landing, diligent attendants, and meal service was decent (for example - on par with KLM, better presentation than Air India, not as good as Qatar or ANA). I would consider flying with them again."

They gave a 250NT lunch voucher and asked to what til the next flight in the afternoon. That was the longest flight I experienced coming from New York."

The most negative part about this flight is the 10hr delay in Taiwan. Sleeping in the airport for 10hrs isn't easy and fun especially after a 13hr flight. Overall, not a good experience as I hoped it would be."

Pros: "I have flown many airlines including China Air. I travel about 4 time a year. This flight from Honolulu to Tokyo was exceptional and the crew was amazing. They were very nice and sweet to all the passengers around me."

Cons: "It catered to our unique (Muslim) food and satisfied our needs. They paid special attention to my physical needs that required a wheelchair. The cabin crew were especially helpful. Thank you!"
