In addition, the flight was delayed by 1 full hour and when we arrived in Vienna our luggage (and the luggage of many other passengers) had not been sent with us. We waited in line for luggage for 30 minutes, then another line for at least 30 more minutes to report the missing bag, and we were then told that it wouldn’t arrive for another day and would be delivered to us within a 3 hour window in the middle of the day. This was essentially an entire night and day lost to a mishap that the airline didn’t even notify us of when we landed. Pretty frustrating."
Cons: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

Cons: "After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life."

Finally after 5 min someone came to take my order. She quickly came back and said they were out of wine. This was a very disappointing flight."

Pros: "Decent seat pitch on the relatively new a320 configuration. Lost my bag for a weekend trip, unapologetic ground handling staff, waited 90 mins to report it and no gesture of goodwill to remedy the situation."
Cons: "For United to go out of business"

Cons: "Legroom. Not changing passengers’ seating at the last moment."

Cons: "Delayed after boarding due to lightning ground stop. Had to deplane and reboard. Almost 2-hour delay because gate agent had to rebook several people on the spot."

Pros: "The staff was accommodating and worked hard to make us more comfortable and be helpful when possible- there was a lot of turbulence so dinner was served late and there was a lot of time we couldn't move about but they made the best of it."
Cons: "The added benefits of the Air New Zealand long flight planes of the entertainment like mini games and the footrest into bed as well as my husband and I not being seated in between two people but being on one side or the other."

Pros: "After United lost our luggage in Houston we had to file a claim in Auckland which meant we missed our flight to Wellington. Ground crew were super helpful and got us on the next flight 30 mins later. Cabin crew were great and sorted us out with water and snacks before take off as could tell we were desperate after flying in from London via Houston."

Cons: "Upon checking in a boarding time was given of 0530. A line formed to get in a row 1/2. I would think business class would have a separate boarding rather than line 1. Once in line there was over an hour delay in boarding with no I repeat no information coming from the boarding agents, people were not happy as I heard many complaints. I was lucky and got a electronic notification but no reason. What a way to start a vacation!"

Cons: "Mechanical delay on this leg left us in a hot plane on a hot Texas tarmac. We were initially told it would take 15-20 minutes but this incrementally grew to 1-1/2 hours. Even when we were told that we were pushing away from the gate, we didn't move for another 15 minutes. At least tell the truth. Only water offered. Observed flight attendant moving cups along baggage bins.... Don't know if these were the ones he then served water in."
Cons: "they changed our flight without notifying us! they messed up our seats and asked my mother to deplane! when we were flying with twin babies! they also gave us grief about gate checking something on the trip home that we had no problems with on the way there. honestly i will never fly united again."

Cons: "Not only was boarding delayed almost 2 hours. Once we were on the plane, we sat on the tarmac for over an hour. We landed in SFO at 12:45 and missed my connector to Bend. United was not willing to do anything for me for the inconvenience (except hand out blankets)...so I slept in the airport until the next available flight at 8 a.m. the next more...I hope."

Cons: "The first leg of the trip the flight crew let me carry on my purse and small overnight bag. We land in ORD and the gate team at our connecting flight was beyond rude, shaming me for having "two carry-on's". They demanded I surrender and check my overnight bag (really just a "gym bag") PLUS they charged me $50! When I challenged the charge and the luggage change mid-trip, they said if I didn't give them my bag and pay the fee, they would deny me boarding! I'll avoid United in the future when ever I can!"

Pros: "I originally self checked in for my delayed flight from Boston to Newark, but forgot to add TSA pre check. I went to ask an agent if she could add it, which she very kindly did. She also offered and put me on an earlier flight, which made my day! Thank you!"

Cons: "Will NEVER fly United again. Going home to advise EVERYONE I know not to fly United. They straight suck. Starving people on long flights with hot food for a third of the plane?!?!?! Then telling me I'm wrong for expecting a meal on an almost 7 hour flight?!?!?! &, even better, the reason my son & I starved all morning, day , & evening because EVERY single flight (all 3) were late, one so much so that we almost missed the connecting flight. Wow, is all I can say. After I still have United a chance after assaulting that poor man. Beyond highly disappointed."

When the seats are put back by passengers ahead the tray tables become a implement of further reduction of comfort. Most passengers attempt to get up just to relieve cramping, but thr aisles are so small it is difficult to find relief. It is more than discomfort it is painful."
Cons: "Polaris Biz servie was worse than old biz class service. Only six salmon dinners aboard! Cabin crew needed to asked for many standard items. After dinner service, they were invisible. Brkfst was rushed in last hour before touch down. This was a real disappointment after an excellent flight from LAX to MEL! We can fly AA for such service at a lower price!"

Also, I had initially picked the last row to sit on, which was stated on my itinerary but when I printed my boarding pass, I got assigned middle of plane - which I did not understand nor complain about."

Cons: "Every time the crew came by with something (more food, duty free, custom forms) (which seemed very regularly) it was announced over the intercom so it made sleeping very difficult on the 11 hour red eye flight. Other airlines will just walk by and catch your eye if you are awake. Seats were quite small as well."
