Pros: "The crew, as always, was fantastic. Very helpful and always kind. The seats are comfortable enough, considering it was a long flight, and the excellent entertainment helped the time pass quickly."
Pros: "The crew was fine. the seats were not so comfortable in the economy."
Cons: "More comfortable seats."
Pros: "Air NZ sent my mom away when she arrived to board the plane because she could not hear well. This resulted in a 68 year old women spending the night at Heathrow. No apologies, no upgrades, nothing. Air New Zealand is a heartless discount airline. Terrible experience. Avoid."
Cons: "Air NZ sent my mom away when she arrived to board the plane because she could not hear well. This resulted in a 68 year old women spending the night at Heathrow. No apologies, no upgrades, nothing. Air New Zealand is a heartless discount airline. Terrible experience. Avoid."
Pros: "The food in Premium Economy was good and there are plenty of movies to choose from. The staff were lovely."
Cons: "I had paid for Premium Economy and was seated in Row 30. The passengers were boarded up to row 28, then from to back of the plane forward then I was boarded with the last remaining passengers. That was not what I feel should have happened. I did not like the footrest on the seats."
Pros: "New Zealand Air staff were friendly, informative and courteous throughout the entire flight! I was floored by their service and by what was offered. They even worked to arrange for people to move around (some were packed 4 to a row, but there was plenty of space throughout the craft)."
Pros: "Seat hard on older aircraft, needs new cushioning on seat"
Cons: "Is it possible to build in a way to tilt the seat bottom up at the front a bit so that when the back is reclined you don'get as sore a bum, and you don't slide forward as much. The seatback recline and headrest were very good."
Pros: "Everything else."
Cons: "The departure was 20 minutes late (not too much), which delayed the arrival in NZ by the same amount."
Pros: "Seats rows seemed to be more distance apart than other airlines. Flight was actually done by Air New Zealand rather than Cathay Pacific. Check in at Auckland airport was very quick and highly automated, however, our gate was not posted till one hour before the flight, so we did not know where was the best place to sit and wait."
Cons: "Food was mediocre. Coffee and tea were like warm or cold."
Pros: "The crew in the Melbourne airport were amazing! There was confusion with my bags and they sorted it out without any stress!"
Cons: "The seats weren’t very comfortable but it was a very clean plane!"
Cons: "Had to sprint it to get to our connecting flight. The crew was not helpful at all and had the gall to charge an outrageous bag fee."
Cons: "Be sure to pay for checking baggage when you purchase your ticket. I didn't because I thought we could carry our two small roller bags on board. We were not allowed to and had to pay $120!"
Pros: "People were friendly"
Cons: "It costs money for food and entertainment and drinks!! 10 hour flight and no snacks or drinks :(("
Pros: "Paid for 4 bags up to 75 kg Agent st checking asking for more fee had to fight for this"
Cons: "On flight no entertainment poor service Will never fly jet star again and won’t recon to anyone"
Pros: "Economic overall. Check in staff very helpful in resolving baggage issue ( see below). As long as you undertstand your ticket/ baggage cost, you'll be fine."
Cons: "Tried to pay in advance for baggage. Online system wouldn't accept our credit card (needed a signature) so entire booking put on hold. A little stressful, but airport staff sorted it out with no added cost."
Pros: "I arrived safely."
Cons: "Nothing good to report. Uncomfortable seats. Not even water seved on one 3 hr flight. Invisible flight attendants. Disorganized boarding. Idiotic carryon 7 lb weight limit. Soon they’ll be charging by passengers’ body weight. $145 for 2 checked suitcases. No option for free seats. Very long line mandatory to check in. No kiosk to get boarding pass. Pay for entertainment. Had them booked for 3 flights. The worst."
Cons: "Ridiculous to pay for water. It was a 3 and a half hour trip. Who doesn't provide water for such a long trip. And of course it wasn't cheap $5 a bottle."
Pros: "Left and arrived on time Front and back entrances"
Cons: "Charge for everything- checked bag(s), soft drinks, even peanuts Leg Space limited"
