The only thing that was less than excellent was the food server at dinner. (I had the chicken.) It wasn't that it was poorly heated or in difficult-to-open containers; it was just that it had a very peculiar taste. And I use that to describe not just the main course but the dessert as well. Very odd flavours for what seemed to be a mainstream item. I did like that the airline offered us a free glass of wine. The breakfast omelette wasn't bad, although it was quite bland.

Cons: "I was turned away at the gate and was unable to board the plane. It was an awful experience!"

Cons: "Long lines for security in Auckland, so I barely made the flight to Chicago. There were delays in Chicago due to the weather."

Cons: "After years of traveling with a Personal Assitive device (many times on ANZ), the pilot refused to carry the device. It is still stuck in Sydney, although they say they will deliver to our home."

Pros: "This is an overnight red eye flight. There is not much to interact with crew or service. It is simply long with attempts to sleep."

Cons: "It was over $450 to try and change the short segment fligt from Christchurch to Auckland. I could have bought a new ticket for 1/2"

Pros: "I liked that there was food available and that they offered complimentary snacks and drinks. Some of the crew members were nice and offered good service. I liked that they offered some type of entertainment and free wifi."

Cons: "I didn't like that some of the crew members were not very nice. I also disliked that some of the crew members drove the food/beverage cart violently through the isles and saw as one of the crew members rammed into another person's leg, to only say "oh sorry" and kept on going. This same crew member missed picking up the trash from an entire row and was throwing trash on the floor. She was more interested in caring for a baby on board (not sure if it was her daughter or family member) than the rest of the passengers. I also didn't like the seats were so close to each other, the person in front of me almost hit my face when he reclined his seat all the way back. There wasn't much room to breath let alone stretch."

Cons: "When I booked this fly, no one tell me check in luggage has to be charged"

Cons: "We were not told that we had to buy meals and drinks ahead of time?! We had no food for an 8 hour flight and couldn't even buy a soft drink?! We were on an outdated plane leased plane from EVA Air and there were maybe 10 movies to choose from? Also, my reading light was broken. Not the level of care that I've come to know from Air NZ and really disappointed."

Cons: "The check in, the baggage drop off and pickup were very confusing and it made it a little stressful having to change flights. Boarding passes are also difficult to obtain through other airlines."

Cons: "There were a lot of empty seats...it would be nice that 4 people weren't put together all at once, but this was fixed once we took off."

Cons: "Larding is shambullick from LAX! Needs improving your system . No one to tell you early which line and existing signs for economy and Premium do not stand out .. staff need to be on the ground sooner letting people know and asking them which seats to prevent most people being in the wrong queue"

Cons: "Missed the flight because of a very late connection. Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia kept handing me off to each other since it was booked as virgin Australia but on an air New Zealand flight. Neither wanted to help at first. Finally virgin Australia ticket agent took pity and helped me rebook for the next day. This was after I was told by air New Zealand that I had to call the booking number for virgin Australia. I’m traveling from the US and didn’t have a cell phone that worked in Australia... which I explained and asked how I could call the number without a phone. Was promptly told to go over to Virgin Australia ticket counter where I made the one remaining agent who was closing the desks help me. However the airport lost my luggage and could not find where it was. I ended up spending three hours in the airport and still no luggage with the baggage company saying they have no record of it anywhere. Very frustrating trip."

Cons: "I didn't care for the family that was surrounding us from all angles; they were constantly in and out of their seats visiting one another while pulling, kicking, and opening and closing the tray tables over and over again. I didn't care for one of the unpleasant flight attendants as well."

Cons: "Nobody believes in offering decent food anymore. Flying was so much better 25 yrs ago. Soon we will have to pay to use the toilet."

Pros: "I was on flight nz10 from Auckland to hawaii 3/28th. Loved the crew, they got us on board quickly and we would have taken off on time but had to wait for 2 people showing up late. Anyway, it was a redeye so people slept for most of it and I watched movies and drank wine. The airplane was clean and bathroom were as well. It was a full flight so a little cramped."

Pros: "The best service I've ever had with seamless rebooking and escorted followthrough to make my return flight. Even my luggage made it throughout the short interval layovers!"

Pros: "Very Innovative. Love the Premium Economy seats. And unlike many other airlines that do Premium Economy the food is not just economy food. It is far better and as good as anything you get in Business."

Pros: "Flew from LAX to NZ and then to Tonga. Both flights were amazing with the best cabin crews. I would highly recommend Air NZ."

Pros: "I have not flown international in a long time. It was confortable and entertainment was great. The only thing I did not like is that with New Zealand air one can only check in 1 bag for free. We stayed in NZ for 18 days. The other airlines let you check in 2 bags. For an international flight 2 bags is only fair. Thanks."
