Madrid hotels near Plaza de Cuzco

Pros: Room service was good. Breakfast buffet was very good. One staff member was able to discuss concerns I had with me in English.

Cons: Restaurants seemed awfully expensive. _Only_ one staff member was able to discuss concerns I had in English. There was no concierge desk; no one to help me with train tickets. I would only recommend this hotel to very experienced travelers.

Pros: It is acomplete hotel which offers all services at a high level, good staff, excellent food and room service. An all around hotel that gets strong marks for just about everything.

Cons: With this economic downturn, front curb staff, doorman, porter etc. seem to be lacking.

Cons: the room was quite noisy. I think that the price was a bit too high related to the service (more than EUR200/night without breakfast). furthermore the furniture in the room was pretty old.

Pros: Apartment had all necessary facilities and was cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels supplied. Breakfeast included for the apartment, however it was a very basic breakfeast but did the job.

Cons: Swimming pool not opened and when I asked they said it only opened in summer. I was there the middle of May which to me was summer.

Pros: the room was spatious and had a kitchen with fridge. General equipment was ok.

Pros: It was effortless to stay there, I liked the independence an apartment gives you. The pool was excellent as well and I was amazed to discover there was a life guard on duty. The place was spotless and very comfortable. It was very close to Metro stations.

Pros: Hotel is located 2mins from Madrid metro, as well as supermarkets and authentic local tapas bars and restaurants. Attraction of staying here, eventhough your a short complimentary hotel bus ride from the touristy centre, is the hotel's interior which has been designed by a number of world famous architects and designers - Foster, Hadid, amongst others. This is matched by the 5-star service of the hotel.

Pros: Front desk staff was very responsive. Hotel architecture, floors, rooms, etc are amazing. Never saw anything like them!

Cons: The restaurant staff was terrible. We were two businessmen dressed in suits. We entered the restaurant at 9:15 pm; It was not busy but had a number of tables with patrons. We walked out at 9:40, having gotten not so much as a glass of water, or even a nod in our direction, let alone an "Ill be right with you." Instead the 3-4 waiters and the captain never even made eye contact with us. So we went to the desk and got a recommendation to a very good restaurant right down the street.

Cons: There was a rotted banana in the bin (not ours), but otherwise completely swank hotel!!! Outstanding experience!

Pros: The rooms were beautifully decorated. Each floor has an invidual motif. The staff at check in were courteous and efficient. I enjoyed the experience of choosing the style of room on an iPad.

Cons: While waiting for staff to fix my door (keycard would not work), I decided to wait at the main bar on the top of the hotel. one side was marked for a private party, one wasn't. I went to the unmarked side, ordered a drink, and as I was about to pay, the bartender asked if I was part of the event. I told him no and he said that he couldn't serve me and took the drink away. I informed him that I was a guest of the hotel and that this area was not marked as reserved. His manager apologized but asked me to leave. This added insult to injury of being locked out of my room. Were it not for an early flight and the hotel's free shuttle, I would have checked out that instant. Furthermore, the hotel is poorly located in the middle of a boring residential neighborhood. It may be a good value for anyone about to travel but the device and amenities do not merit 5 stars.

Pros: Rooms were modern, hallways narrow and dark. Only 2 English speaking television stations (CNN, BBC News). Internet access was simple and reasonable. Staff were very efficient and polite.

Cons: Breakfast was very expensive (25 Euros) for a buffet. This is more than double what the price should have been. No desk the room, so had to use a small coffee table for business and computer requirements.

Pros: Thi is one of the best hotel in Madrid, one of the best in the world. I'm travelling alot, but this is the best hotel i've staied in. The desing is different in each room, in the room u have a real king size bad. The service is perfect. Donstairs there is a restaurant, i would recomment to visit it. I'll come back again.)

Pros: The Silken Puerta America is a very well designed hotel. It is completely different to any other hotel I have experienced before.

Cons: The location was poor, being 5kms from Sol / Plaza Major, which is a little too far to walk. Perhaps if they offered a shuttle service to drop guests into town.

Pros: Staff were very professional and discreet. Room was funky and I loved the circular bed and huge tv screen. 1 minute from metro which is clean, cheap, cool and frequent. Nicely finished, Great towels, robes and bedlinen as well as plentiful toiletries. Make sure you overlook the road and are not overlooked by the blocks of flats on the other side....

Cons: Only 2 floors are no smoking, limiting choice of room styles. Spa is not a spa - just a small pool with a room off it for beauty treatments or else a massage in a room on 4th floor (but then I got to see another room style!).

Pros: Gret apartments on the outskirts of the city centre. Well placed on the metro with access to the centre in less than 15 mins. A good selection of bars and restaurants only 5 minutes walk away in a quiet and safe area of Madrid.

Pros: Location, across from subway station. Only one stop from Chamartin train station. A supermarket is very close to it. Liked the fast food restaurants on the subway station, very convenient for a quick breakfast or dinner.

Pros: Clean, modern hotel with good facilities. Close to Metro station for airport access, and close to main train station for movement to other parts of country. Good restaurant with diverse menu.

Pros: The jacuzzi was nice. There were a lot of products in the bathroom.

Cons: The receptionists were talking and kept us waiting. They didn't understand English very well. I asked to repair the shower twice which they didn't. The taxi driver was waiting for 10 minutes before the receptionist told us that he was there.
