Pros:
Cons: Upon arrival (11pm) I was very disappointed To find out that the restaurant and the bar of the hotel were closed and under construction. In addition to this, the room service menu (and the food ordered subsequently) was a disaster. I was on a very hectic business trip and room service or a hotel restaurant was top priority for me. At no point after my booking was i informed that the restaurant and bar was under construction. The hotel breakfast was very poor and basic and so was the room cleaning service. One day my bed was not made!

I look forward to returning and staying at this hotel on my next trip. I think we've found our winner!

Pros: Breakfast is one of the major reasons we chose to stay in Krasnapolsky. This is my 3rd time staying in the hotel and everytime I will stay in this hotel for number of reasons. First the location is very nice. Second, the hotel is very good in terms of hospitality and comfort. The people who work in the hotel from reception to house keeping, are obviously happy to work here and they are showing it by how they treat you. I would like to thank Eline who were great at welcoming us in the hotel. She was very warm, kind and helpful. I already knew this is the way Krasnapolsky team treats the guests but once again my girlfriend who accompanied me understood why I insisted on this hotel. Hope this quality never changes!

Pros: Location was great
Cons: Keys stopped working every day and it takes a very long time to get from the room tothe front desk to get new ones. I also was unable to make my first night due to a change in our flight that was beyond my control and although I called more than 24 hours before arrival they would not refund my first night stay. I would not suggest pre paying. I have worked in hotels so I know there are always ways staff can make it up to you - free breakfast, bottles of wine, discounts on future stays etc. Nothing was done
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was great, the staff, location, concierge, food, etc
Cons: No sound isolation between rooms also noise coming from outside through the window
4.0 Okay
Pros: the location and the lobby are excellent.
Cons: the room was tiny. the TV did not work. The room was in a modern wing and there was nothing mentioned about that on the website when we booked. I expected to be in the old building and this was really disappointing. Additionally, we came to ask if we could dine in the White Room but were turned away as allegedly there were all tables booked. Later in the evening we passed by the restaurant several times and there were tables empty. We'd rather be advised to come by in an hour or so rather than a strict NO. We felt we were unwanted

Pros: The bed was good. The room was quiet. The location is good. The manager of the business center (Hildegard) was very helpful.
Cons: I am lifetime Platinum and stayed three nights (paying cash). The front desk gave me a very small basic room. It was very uncomfortable. There was only one drawer for clothing. The closet was tiny. There was no desk (but they brought up a temporary desk at my request, and apparently a lot of guests request them.). The executive lounge was very crowded and very noisy with literally no place to sit down. This is because no one checks the credentials of visitors, so it seems that half of the guest at the hotel went there every day for breakfast and evening snacks. There was no way to hang laundry to dry in the shower area of the bathroom. The WiFi was awful--kept shutting down.

5.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: The hotel staff was not very accommodating. We were there for a special occasion and I requested 5 days prior to please have a room on a high floor. This request was not accommodated. I understand there may be limited availability, but I am sure there were tens of new check-ins on that day. The room was not very clean. I would not have dared to use the coffee machine or the bath tub. There were used coffee cups at the door when we arrived, left behind by the previous guests. There was no water/coffee for guests at the lobby. All in all, a significant disappointment given the very top euro price point. I unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel.

Pros: Perfect location for a tourist. Helpful, pleasant staff. Small but cute single room with an excellent (canal) view.
Cons: Not sure if my expectations were different because I'm American, but I sorely missed having an ice machine, microwave and small fridge for use. There was a mini fridge in the room but it was secured as it contained minibar items.I didn't open it for fear I'd be charged for items. Furthermore, I wasn't sure there was any space inside for non-minibar items. I also never received a facecloth during my stay.

Pros: Cleanliness is superb and room service excellent.everyday room cleans though.
Cons: Have to pull heavy bag on upstairs till reception.after then have lift for going upside floors.Rate is higher against what they provide service. Like 200 euro per night for only room.staff is OK there is no welcoming policy.as they mentioned it's 4 star there is no such a bar like 4* rated hotel.

Pros: I usually do not write reviews but just had to do it for the flying pig, downtown. It was my first time ever staying in a hostel, I booked it just for the sake of an experience as I have always lived in hotels while travelling. The location was fantastic and was like a 3-4 min walk from the Centraal station, the checkin process was smooth and easy. The room, bathroom and other common areas were clean. The crew who works here is super friendly, polite, helpful, understanding, caring (I can go on but then The review cannot be infinite). The party vibe of this place is way better as compared to a lot of the places around and a great music playlist. The travellers/guests are from various countries and is a great place to socialize and meet new people. I am glad that I decided to stay at the flying pig and will certainly stay here again. A special shout out to Grietje, Anna, Sammi & Derek for making my stay a memorable one, you guys were amazing and we shall meet again soon. Also a big thanks to all the other crew members working there with whom i couldnt interact a lot. ❤️

Pros: There's a real nice restaurant with 5atar service Food is excellent
Cons: Location is out in the booneys - any bargain here is wiped out With cab fares to sites you want to see .

Pros: Classic Hilton experience, free breakfast if you are SPG preferred.
Cons:

Pros: The check-in and our process were efficiency. Location is quiet and it takes around 25 mins to arrive city center by bus. The housekeeper was very friendly and turndown service has been served everyday. It is nice to back room with night atmosphere. Over all everything is worth its value!
Cons: WiFi in room is under the charge :(
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Staff was wonderful. A little slow on check in (but completely sold out so trying to accommodate all) maid service excellent. Rooms clean and up to date.
Cons: I had room I room down hall and opposite side of elevators, but I could still hear the elevators. Pick a room further away, hotel is well worth visit - however, they do get their price.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, room and lobby was very clean, its located about 2-3 miles outside Amsterdam in the city of Jordaan so i would recommend getting a tram ticket while you're there.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Liked nothing about the hotel. The staff were rude and annoying.
Cons: Did not like the hotel and how the staff managed things. In addition, they were annoying and rude. They disabled the hotel access cards two times on purpose, just so they could get me to the desk and ask me their stupid repeated questions about my stay.

Cons: Unfortunately there we’re building works in the room above us which woke us up at 7:30 every morning. We were offered two complimentary drinks as an apology which was nice.

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: When we arrived around noon to drop our bags our room wasn’t ready but we were offered an ‘upgrade’ for an extra price which we took. The room was in a different building, you had to get two lifts up and down each time we were going up to the room and the room was very basic, I don’t see how it was an ‘upgrade’. The pillows were very lumpy.

Pros: Location is great and the room is spacious.
Cons: Our room faced the main busy street, which was great for the view, but terrible for noises. Could hear virtually everything going on outside all night long.

Pros: Very warm and friendly staff, nice room, hotel was quiet, good value.
Cons: We had two beds and they were touching which was kind of weird. The ability to use the fridge without breaking a seal would be nice too. We also couldn't figure out how to turn off one of the lamps without unplugging it.

Clean, nice smells, wonderful breakfast with hot plates, lots os fruits, different breads, cheeses, pastries. It was just wonderful. Everything's close to the hotel: subway, tram, stores, some exhibitions... It was a very nice stay.
Cons: The toilet seat is installed very high. Not comfortable. I'm 1,63cm and my feet barely touched the ground when I was using it. The door peephole was completely out of my sight. It's probably for someone that's 1,80cm. I would have to get on a chair to see through it. Not cool when we are travelling alone (for safety reasons). People on the other rooms were very loud. Not the hotel fault, but the reception could just remind that "this is a hotel, you are not alone" at the time of arrival. (I'm talking about loud noises at 11pm).

Pros: The building itself was lovely, very gothic with a cozy feel. The breakfast was excellent, make sure you get it included in your original price. The spa was nice and the staff was extremely helpful. We rented bikes from the hotel for a day and they were very good rides, better than our bikes at home! The mini bar is stocked daily and is FREE! We kept drinking our mini wines in the double bath tub every night. Great location, across the canal from central station. A great choice for our honeymoon stay.

Pros: Nice art-deco hotel close to central district
Cons: Breakfast buffet was overly expensive for the limited selections. Also, there were no gluten-free offerings other than granola.

Pros: Location, staff free mini bar
Cons: Was a little cold

Pros: Location and design of hotel
Cons: The breakfast bar was a bit under par for a hotel of this class
7.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: There was only one person at check in, and a long que. Also, their info about my booking did not match with what I booked. We spent a frustrating full hour and a half to get a room with double bed. Exhausting for one-day get away for my husbands birthday.

Cons: Our room was on the first floor, so keeping the windows open at night for a breeze did not work out as the street noise was too loud. Our last night we noticed a small visitor in our room, a mouse, who was persistent and did not want to leave. It was our last night so we just said our goodnight to our guest and slept, it's an old building so I don't think it is an "infestation" but rather something that comes with staying in an old, large building.
6.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location by Amsterdam Centraal. It is easy to get to and a great place to explore the city from.
Cons: The maid service was sub standard for a $300+/night hotel. The bed was made but other items were never straightened.

Pros: The service is excelent and the hotel is an historical building and transports you to the past.
Cons: Is difficult to park a car and the parking lot is 10 minutes walking from the hotel.

Pros: Staff were very helpful. The hotel and the rooms we saw were characterful
Cons: Shower drain was blocked
5.7 Okay
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: The room was incredibly stuffy as there was no A/C. We couldn't open the windows at night because the building construction next door started promptly at 7 am and the noise was unbearable with the windows open. Would never had booked here if I knew I would get about 2 hrs of sleep per night. The price was decent but now I know why!

Pros: Personal super amables
Cons: The rooms are oldish, and have verry little suplys beings a 5 star hotel.
6.0 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and clean. There were apples readily available for the guests on our floor which was nice.
Cons: We had problems with the basin as it was blocked. The water drained extremely slowly leaving residue of dirt in the basin and very uncomfortable to use most times until it was reported. The bath drained very slowly too whilst having a shower, we had to rush out of the shower as dirty water was not draining which made it quite uncomfortable with our feet in the poodle of water and could not spend quality time having a proper shower. There were no ironing board and iron in the room and had to request for this at least 3 times before it was finally brought to the room.
