Pros: Three adults, including myself, stayed here a day before and after a cruise. The hotel was a great price and offered three single beds and a very large bathroom. Being from the U.S. with limited public transportation where I live, I did not realize that the tram is different than the train. We thought we could take the tram to and from the airport and port, but you need to take a taxi, so that was a little disappointing. The tram is an excellent way to get downtown, though. You pay right on the tram, 7.50 Euros for 24 hours. The staff was extremely helpful in giving directions regarding navigating the city and helping answer a variety of questions. They even ordered taxi pick up for us.

Got a free room upgrade and a lovely bath duck with hotel logo. The room has everuthing you need. You even get the proper coffee machine. wifi is good as I had to do some work with conference calls and all worked perfectly. Look no further it's an excellent place!

Cons: There was no hairdryer in the room which we had to ask for in addition to this there was a kettle with no cups to make coffee and tea and sugar with no milk a small thing but annoying nonetheless. The service of the restaurant was poor and food was average (the coffee was very nice though) . On our day of check out a member of staff came into our room before we had checked out which we were not impressed with as we were only getting dressed. We we're pleasantly surprised with the time of check out only to feel then rushed. Lack of communication between reception and housekeeping!

Pros: This is the second time we have stayed in the Student Hotel in the past year and we have been very happy with our stay both times. We like the atmosphere in the hotel, and the food in the restaurant is very good. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The only issue we had was with the bartender. We were in the bar and at closing time the bartender came to tell us that he was closing. We felt like he was being rude, making hand gestures towards the door. Otherwise everyone else we spoke to were polite at all times.

Pros: I lovers how helpful the staff was, the location, décor, room amenities and location. I would definitely recommend for a solo traveler or young couples! The location in about a 15 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Central and in a quiet part of the city! I will most definitely stay there again when I visit Amsterdam again. Cons: The price was a little steep in the restaurant on the 17th floor since the food wasn't amazing but it was pretty good. I recommend the quesadillas if you like cheese bc that was my favorite. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel!

Cons: -On the day we checked out a guy came early to see if we left and continued to do so every two hours or so. Once we left we had forgot a bag and went back up he was going through said bag, and freaked out once he saw us. We just took our stuff and left not wanting to make a big deal. We later found out he stole 30 euro from the bag. Not a large amount, but still be wary. This is true everywhere. Never trust your money alone anywhere.

Pros: It was clean and less noisy than in other hotels in the area. Area is another 'bonus' thing. Buses 64 and 69 in minutes will get you to Sloterdijk train station from which you can get to the Schiphol airport in 10 mins and it's easy to get to other cities as well from Sloterdijk. Downtown you can get by tram 7 or 14 or by bus 21. So this whole Slotermeelan area is awesome.

Cons: There is nothing we did not like. An observation though was that the smokers made a,mess of the entrance with their butts. Not a fault of the hotel but maybe you can set up a dedicated smoking area away from the entrance
