Pros: "Three of us were sitting separately. Airline is able to accommodate us so that we get to sit together in a section where there is extra leg room."

In general it would be nice if passengers could pre-order from a set selection of foods online what they would like on their tray. This would hopefully lower the amount of food that sadly goes to waste. Also it would be nice to have gluten free snacks on board. Flying with celiac disease is not easy."

Pros: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

Pros: "I liked how often the staff walked down the ailes to help. They are very attentive. The entertainment is endless. Seats were standard in economy class, I recommended upgrading for that long of a flight."
Cons: "To my flight specifically, it got adjusted without telling me so I ended up missing my final transfer. I was not given a notification for a flight change. Someone met me at the end of my second flight to tell me I missed my connecting flight. With the adjusted flight Singapore gave me, there was no chance I would have made it. They did purchase a ticket for me on another airline to get to San Francisco in the end."

We were on an outdated plane leased plane from EVA Air and there were maybe 10 movies to choose from? Also, my reading light was broken. Not the level of care that I've come to know from Air NZ and really disappointed."

Pros: "Booked these flights though Kayak. Landing from LAX at 0730 at Auckland international terminal and then departing at 0900 from the domestic terminal. This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

Cons: "flight was seriously delayed, poor communication from staff & NZ Air app to travelers re reason for & how long delay would actually be. Shortly after we finally boarded I got a text saying our connecting flight from Christchurch to Dunedin was cancelled. So, we were flown to Christchurch & given hotel accommodations for the night, only to be flown BACK the next day to Wellington to catch a flight to Dunedin. All in all quite infuriating."

Pros: "Very Innovative. Love the Premium Economy seats. And unlike many other airlines that do Premium Economy the food is not just economy food. It is far better and as good as anything you get in Business."

Cons: "I was stopped at gate check in and taken to one side as the passport control had reported me for being intoxicated. I was injured in the armed forces and have a bit of a balance problem as lost most my hearing. I think drink alcohol any more. I asked for an aisle seat as I'm a big guy but was put on seat E next to a huge fat guy so was unable to sit properly. I couldn't get out of the seat once as he just slept and must of drempt as kept jumping and banging me. I had 1 meal on the over 13hr flight, which I couldn't eat properly as was unable to use the knife & fork due to the huge obese guy next to me. I asked the stewardess to wake me at all meal times. Which she didn't. So missed all the meals and tea/coffee. I was looking forward to the put a too. The London to Singapore flight was a total let down and I expected so much more from Quantus as they have always been top standard before. Overall disgusted in the service."

So I moved, to be removed by Sarah (stewardess) and put back in Tow 75. Then she put two of her friends in Row 50. When I walked up later to get my bag, there was still an empty Row 50 seat, but her friiends’ purses were in the seat, and they reluctantly removed the items when I insisted to sit there. Sarah should have left me in Row 50 and not made me move back to 75."

I tried to change my dates after I bought it and dealing with Flight network -where i bought it from - was a nightmare!! I wouldnt recomment this at all."

I understand charging obese people extra because they have a chance to change it. Also, seats are too narrow now!!!"

They were also very helpful with seating when it came to putting me and my partner next to each other and in seats with extra legroom (we did pay for it so I guess it was expected)"
Cons: "Customer service over the phone was HORRIBLE! I waited almost 2 hours on the phone and got NOTHING accomplished! Purchased my seats online, then got a notification saying it didn't go through. Called to fix the issue, but the man on the phone put me on hold for almost an hour! Only to accidentally put my partner and I in different rows. When I complained at the lack of professionalism from him over the phone, he offered some sort of compensation. When I agreed, he transferred me to his supervisor who said they do not compensate in any form! So why offer it then?! I then called the reservation department like I was told to, and they said they would look into the issue and call me back. This was about a month or two before my flight, and even though it's been a week after my flight, I have yet to get that call I was promised (nor the compensation). WORST PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED! As for the flight, my only complaints are the messy boarding process and the uncomfortable seats in economy. Although you can't really expect more from old planes such as these."

Pros: "I paid for an extra legroom seat - really makes a difference to getting some sleep on the two overnight legs of QF2, but you might want to bring your own blindfold and slippersocks as these are not provided in Economy."
Cons: "Gluten-free food in particular needn't be milk/lactose or meat free, and needn't be based around those gluten-free breads (Qantas GF bread was better than some others but still not great). There are good gluten free noodles, and most of the NORMAL meals would be find as long as gratuitous adding of wheat products to sauces was avoided (there is no excuse for soysauce or cornflour containing gluten - wheat and flour are additives that should not be present in ANY product that isn't specifically a wheat product). If the Asian meals, curry and rice, etc. were made with care they would be GF and many (Australian) restaurants offer GF variants of their meals. Still don't understand why they didn't give me real butter or real milk... Should have announced explicitly that we needed to pick up and clear and recheck baggage (on same tag) before our domestic flight."

Pros: "The staff where excellent as was the full process from getting to the airport to disembarking. Would like to fly with them again"
Cons: "We have an autistic child and to get the seats that are most suitable for us proved very difficult. We got there in the end but basically they have said that that if we want to get our seats before check in opens we need the pay. We have never had to do this before and I was very shocked and surprised. They eventually relented and resolved the issue however the damage was already done. For a company that is associated with the local autism society I was very disappointed that they don't recognise it for the challenge that it can be."

Pros: "I liked receiving a menu of food options. I liked the movie selections (although there were better option from JFK>LAX than LAX>SYD)! Crew were friendly."
Cons: "Those with special meals receive their food way earlier than the rest of the plane."

Cons: "I ordered gluten free food and it was really bad. 1 fresh apple in the 24 hour flight. For some reason, the people who design this food think that just because a person is gluten free, you can give them the worst gluten free bread! Just leave out the bread and make the food a bit more fresh and interesting."

Pros: "Flying business class on quantas is awesome"
