As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."

Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."

We flew premium economy which was a delight for the cost of the tickets. The supplied seat headphones could be improved for better fidelity and noise suppression. Everything else about our flight from Auckland to LA, in our price range, was outstanding.

We arrived from Syndney the night before and wanted to make sure we were set for the early morning flight so went to an Air NZ information desk to get boarding pass. The agent printed out an e-ticket and said we were good to go. We arrived an hour and a half early to the gate, with our carry on bags as we have done all over the world. We heard an announcement about bags needing to be checked and assumed ours would be gate checked if needed (as anywhere else in the world). The gate agent didn't arrive til 20 minutes before the flight and told us we DIDN'T have a boarding pass and needed to return to the ticket agent and check our bags. By the time we ran back to the ticket agent we were told it was too late to check our bags. We had to pay $100 more a piece to fly LATER through Christ Church. We were on our way to meet our kids for vacation and ended up losing a day and $200 additional dollars because we were given inaccurate information by the Air New Zealand info desk."

We were forced to gate check our carry on baggage even though others were bringing whole strollers on the plane. The plane was extremely cramped and reminiscent of spirit airlines in the US. And once we arrived in Lisbon there was no gate so we were bussed 5km around the airport on a overcrowded bus. No an enjoyable experience especially when I paid the up charge for “premium economy”
Flight was delayed but lands at Heathrow and had water and crisps on the flight which were complimentary!
The plane was tiny and filled with very tall Icelandic residents. The crew were disinterested in the passengers. We got 8oz of water and a cereal bar for a 3.5 hour international flight.

Cons: "HOT. The plane was 90% of the time. It would tease you just long enough to start to fall asleep, then bam! You wake up in a sweat. It was 9.5 of 10 hours of a low boil sweat. The most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on. Apparently a known issue, including the condensation leaks on people sitting next to the window. (Guessing that's why the A/C was left off.) Also one of the bathrooms was quickly out of service. Another would auto flush if you tried to sit down. And another the green light was on whether occupied/locked or not. So 3 of 4 in Economy had at least some kind of malfunction. The power tinting windows never responded to the buttons - assumed they were on master override. Finally, the seats were pretty compact. I would describe World Traveler on BA (aka Economy) more like the new compact Basic Economy offered on other carriers. Seats were very small and leg room consumed by some kind of service boxes. I'm hoping to all things holy that our return flight is actually an American Air flight instead of BA direct. Really afraid of another 10+ hours of torture."

Having got through all the hurdles including incomprehensible up, down, up again down again escalator rides and security pat down for my wife we got to Concourse 5 where we learned our plane was leaving from C gates, but not which C gate. So we looked for directions to C gates. The only signage was for C gates 52 to 57. Common sense would lead one to believe that C gates 1 to 51 existed somewhere in the terminal; but no they do not and not many people are aware that they don’t. There has to be a better way. Perhaps before Brexit becomes a reality you could lean on Germany’s vaunted efficiency to help clean up this nightmare scenario."

Cons: "I don't know what happened. Check-in took almost an hour. Usually it only takes 10 or 15 minutes. I am glad that I got to the airport 2 hours a head of time."
Cons: "Virtually impossible to feel comfortable that I had successfully checked in. The app kept telling Facebook me I wasn't checked in. AND when I went to review the checked baggage policy to make sure I didn't have to pay for my first checked bag (there was a "YES" notice on a prior screen that made me wonder), the app didn't give me a way to "return to finish check in". Quite unsatisfactory in this day and age. Otherwise, the flight was lovely."

Cons: "A couple of mishaps by the crew with no acknowledgement. One of the flight attendants dropped an empty soda can on the floor which was dropped on my toes (I had taken my shoes off) and picked it up with no acknowledgement or apology, even after I screamed out of pain. I was speechless that I didn't even object. In another incident, when asked for food option, I chose chicken vs pasta. When opened my hot plate after 2-3 minutes, I found out I had tofu in front of me. I called the flight attendant and they came over, acknowledged I had the wrong food just to inform me they were out of chicken at that point. If you make a mistake, please offer something in return to make the experience somewhat better."

Couldn't check-in online for the JAL flight and there was no clear information as to whether our baggage would be automatically transferred or whether we would have to collect (as was the case)."

Pros: "I loved the headrest on the seat. Easiest headrest for sleeping I have ever had. No neck rolling around. Especially important for long overnight flight. The recline on the seat was also lovely. For economy class, I slept amazingly well!"

Waited in line, only to be told I had a payment due and had to go to service desk. My friend was checking in with me, and did not have to pay for luggage. Meanwhile the gate agent changed her mind, said she could accept my payment there, then we had to go through the exercise of lightening our carry ons (which we had made heavier to avoid excess baggage fee). So I ended up paying for bags, friend did not, yet we had the same bags/weights. Flight was delayed 15 minutes per the kiosk, when asked gate agent, she said it was not, but in reality it was. not a pleasant experience, policies not clear and not uniformly enforced. Flight itself was ok. I probably will not fly Jetstar again."

While that seems nice, it's clear it's a bogus charge if rules don't need to be followed. One flight the baggage fee was $50, another was $160 - with these costs included they are actually more expensive than other airlines. Took an international flight and all food and drinks on the flight had to be purchased, pretty ridiculous that the airline does not include water over a three hour travel time."

Upon telling the service desk about my issue, I encountered poor customer service from the service desk. Additionally, once onboard the aircraft, it was evident it had not been cleaned prior to my scheduled flight. My seat was filled with snack crumbs and rubbish."

The airline worker at the counter said mentioned "yeah this happens to foreigners all the time"...which makes it pretty blatantly a targeting scheme on foreigners who have no choice but to pay the inflated bag fees."

Cons: "where to begin... 1) $455 in baggage charges. yes, you read that right. 2 tickets cost $150. bags cost $450. absurd. enough said. we were connecting from an international flight, 2 adults and a toddler. it's not like we had an obscene amount of luggage. 2) so i tried to buy an extra seat (we were traveling with our 23-month old son)... buying an extra ticket and baggage allowance with it would have cost $100 less than the baggage charge with 2 tickets. But they would not allow this. 3) they would, however, block the seat next to us for free, so it would remain empty for my son. So we were not allowed to buy it, but they would keep it free for us. 4) we get on the plane, and the seat next to us is not blocked... someone else sits in it. if the plane is full, that makes perfect sense... but the plane wasn't full.. there were 20 empty seats. 5) so my son is unhappy because he wants his own seat, we're crammed into a full row... and there's a completely empty row behind us. So I ask the flight attendant if we can move. She says no, not until after take-off... first person to get there wins. Really? So, thank you but no thank you to jet star. at every opportunity they might have had to make our trip easier... they failed. miserably."
Pros: "I was surprised how comfortable the seats were and how much legroom there was for a low cost airline to fly internationally such a long distance (Tokyo to Sydney). The crew were friendly and we did receive water and tea for free, which was a surprise. The entertainment selection was pretty good and the screens were the nicest HD screens I've seen on an international flight."
Cons: "Had to connect in Gold Coast before arriving in Sydney. I know this is normal for many international flights, but it would have been nice to have a nonstop Tokyo to Sydney. I guess that is why it is a discount airline!"
