Cons: "Lost luggage"
Pros: "Crew was helpful and friendly in every way."
Cons: "Seats are definitely made for smaller sized Asians."
Pros: "MU had been terrible on this trip. My flight MU544 was delayed from 00:55am to 12:10pm due to weather in Shanghai as they said. This made me miss my next flight to HNL. Next day i’m flying to LA and hotel they put me in in shanhgai was terrible :("
Cons: "Could be honest about delay cause. Could put stranded passengers in better hotel rooms and not make strangers share a room. Could send bigger van so everyone and their luggages fit. (I have pics of packed van)"

Pros: "The actual flight was really fantastic, food was warm, flight was relatively comfortable/smooth, entertainment at least for me was good, since they had a decent amount of Japanese music to choose from, and the attendants were friendly and nice. Everything was 100% on time as well. I could complain more about tiny tiny things, but for $500 I felt I got a lot better service than United on an equivalent route."
Cons: "Seats were slightly stiff, but not too bad. Only bigger issue was upon boarding all the people lined up in a 100+ yard line and caused a bit of commotion instead of waiting for their seat numbers to be called and forming a small normal line. This is in no way the airline's fault, and they tried to make it work in spite of the people doing it, but as a Westerner this was confusing."
Cons: "Comfort: I had middle seat between two heavy people, they took both arm rests. I had very little space"

Cons: "Bad food and lost my luggage with all my cosmetics and shoes When I asked for different food they said that was all they had. They told me they had 24 hrs to find my luggage."
Pros: "Crew was very nice and helpful. All announcements were made in both Mandarin and English, which I appreciated a lot. Wifi was relatively good at the Kunming airport."
Cons: "There was an interim stop in Kunming that I did not see anywhere on the schedule. We went through immigration there, which was confusing to both me and the immigration officials. It was difficult to figure out how to get to the connecting flight."

Cons: "The staff was not helpful and unfriendly. Food was horrible and no options. We payed for extra leg space and it turned out it was not the case and we had no option in flight to buy space , furthermore would had cost 2 time more then any other airline. Entertainment was mediocre. Very high fees to change a flight. We will not fly with this company again, and do not recommend unless stress is what you looking for."

Pros: "After fighting over and over during rebooking process, we got a direct flight from Shenzhen to Lijiang with a different airline"
Cons: "We booked the flight from Shenzhen to Lijiang with stopover in Kunming. They cancelled the flight from Kunming to Lijiang and suggested us to stop in Kunming, refund us the rest, suggested us to either stay in Kunming or take a train or do whatever to get to our destination. That’s ridiculous, we can’t just change our travel plan or take a 10 hours train."

Cons: "I asked if I could have a aisle or window seat and was told there was nothing available at the counter, however there were plenty of seats available on the plane."
Cons: "When I came to the airport in Shenzhen I was told that my ticket was booked but not issued, called the number to US support and got the answer that they would issue the ticket immediately, it was in que?? 5 minutes later the lady at China eastern support told me you guys cancelled the ticket? This is 45 min before my flight was supposed to leave and you cancel my ticket without informing me? I bought a new ticket from China Eastern. What is wrong with you? How can a company fail this flat? //Mattias"

Cons: "Can't use phone, headphones provided don't fit entertainment systems on seat backs, so no way to watch"
Cons: "Many of the passengers were standing almost 75% of the time. I would've expected the crew to, at the least, ask people to clear the walk ways. Really my complaint is with the passengers, now the crew. As for the food, we were served to eastern style meals that were both equally disgusting and a finger sandwich meant for a toddler."

And when I was checking in during the return flight, they said me that my seat was not booked before and way behind, which was disappointing because I paid extra fee to book the seats on round trips right after I bought the tickets..."

Cons: "The booking counter in KBV couldn't check me in for my connecting flight in Shanghai. This required me to wait in a number of lines in Shanghai, get a temporary visa, pick up my luggage, check in again and repeat immigration and security-early in the morning with a flight to catch. Also, I tried to speed thing up by attempting to use the Priority check-in, thinking that my hurried situation would be enough to convince the counterperson to help me. NOPE. Even though there was zero line, he refused to help and treated my like a peasant. I've never been treated that way at an airport before. Extremely rude and frustrating for us. Oh, and then on the flight back to Tokyo, there was a fight between two men in the aisle. I'm not kidding. I will never fly this airline again. It was cheap. And I should have known better."
Pros: "Worst flight I have ever travelled. If you are looking for cheap bus travel go in this flight."
Cons: "Flight is always late. You have to run in the airport for boarding your next flight."
Pros: "The seats were fine, considering that this was an overnight flight the blankets and pillows were a nice touch. They topped up my drinks a few times, and brought me water so I could take my medicine which was lovely."
Cons: "Service could have been better - there were no vegetarian food options at all, and the crew were not very understanding. Often the flight attendants were brief and brisk and a little cold. But otherwise flight was fine."

Cons: "Long, confusing boarding process. Always get bused to the airplane instead of direct walk way. Unfriendly attendants. The foods are terrible. Essentially no entertainment system. Just a boring mediocre airline that I will try my best to avoid in the future. By the way, transiting process in any Chinese airport is a nightmare."
Pros: "Crew was friendly Was as comfortable as economy is expected to be Really liked the power outlet. Entertainment options were adequate. Provided more than enough food."
Cons: "Flight was delayed several hours. Passengers were asked to dump liquids at the door to the Jetway, without any forewarning."

Cons: "When I booked the ticket online, I only put down my middle initial. When checking in, China Eastern had a huge problem with it. They said I have to spell out my middle name. They made me go to the ticket office and get a new boarding pass with the middle name spelled out. I called Kayak back to add in the middle name for the return flight to avoid this from happening again. The rep assured me it will be taken care of, but the same problem happened again when I was returning."
Pros: "Attentive stagf, but less attentive than previous flight."
Cons: "1. Couldnt use mobile phone for reading only (mobile phones had to be completely switched off). I wont be flying China Eastern because of this rule. 2. Business class seats where not good (poor adjustment, too far from TV, no window accesible without getting out of seat) 3. Boarding and unboarding on tarmac was inconvenient. 4. Movie selection not up to date"
Cons: "The customer service relations at the front desk to check in word is awful and unfriendly the flight was uncomfortable the entertainment controller does not work 90% of the time it was just a bad experience flying with you in general"

Cons: "My flight was cancelled because of the weather, they didn't postpone it, so transfer passengers would get a chance to catch the next flight. I was given a flight of another air company, so I had to get and register my luggage again. Given the time delay I simply missed the second flight. The company placed me into a hotel though."
Cons: "No one could help us find an alternative way to Phuket via Kunming or otherwise after our flight was canceled. We ended up purchasing a different flight through a different airline and will be working on getting this flight refunded."
