I bought from you air tickets with Scoot airlines from H.K to Singapore on 30 December and back to H.K on the 3 January. when I came to the H.K airport to check in with scoot airlines they said to me that I can't go to Singapore because my passport expired on 2 of June and it's less than 6 months if I want to go to Singapore I need to have in my passport more than 6months. sow in the end I lost the ticket to Singapore and not only this I went back to H.K I toke a room in the hotel 150$ and the day after I went to the embassy of Israel to extend my passport and I bought a new air tickets with Cathay Pacific 350$ to go to Singapore. its mean that I lost my ticket +500$ .and all this because you never informed me that my passport needs to be valid more than 6 months . you can see also in your letter its written there that my passport need to be valid there is not any thing about 6 months. if you was telling me that before I could change my passport. sow pleas I insist that you will pay me back half on my ticket that I lost + my expenses 500$. if I will not get it back my story will be all over in the internet about you I suffered a lot"

Cons: "Though nothing completely egregious, my interaction with crew on the flight were the worst I have ever experienced when traveling. The first was after attempting to go to the bathroom mid-flight. This was an 11 hour flight. I'm not sure whether the captain forgot to turn off the seatbelt sign during the middle of the flight or if he anticipated turbulence, but the seatbelt sign was on for at a minimum, 45 minutes. After waking up I had the urge to go to the bathroom and walked back to try to get there. Once close to the bathroom a flight attending pointed in the other direction and said "sit down and put your seatbelt on." I expressed that I had to go to the bathroom and he again just repeated "go put your seatbelt on." I stood for another few seconds in disbelief that I would really be turned away from using the bathroom in the middle of a flight and during this short time of standing there he again repeated: "go put your seatbelt on." I would like to stress that there was absolutely no turbulence at this time. Whether or not this is protocol and any attendant would have told me the same, the attendant could use lessons in how to properly speak to people by having a better tone AND saying please. Explaining the situation would also be helpful instead of just using your power to command another adult to do something. After returning to my seat, I saw multiple other people also try to get up to go, who received the same fate, so it was obvious he was trying to adhere to the rules, but clearly if the fasten seatbelt sign has been on for over an hour at that point, you should be able to be an adult and put the situation in context; people need to use the bathroom on a long flight. My second poor interaction was at the conclusion of the flight. I was listening to music on my phone and hadn't heard the captain announcement that we should begin to prepare for landing. On ANY other flight I have EVER been on, the crew will come around and verbally ask people politely to put their seat up, return trays to their stored position, and unplug any USB electronics. One of the crew, without asking me first or even making eye contact, came up and unplugged my phone from being plugged in and manually put my seat up to upright position and walked away. This might seem like a simple thing, but you should NEVER touch someone else's property. Further, to place me upright without warning was extremely rude. If this flight had been the only flight I had with Cathay Pacific, I would never fly with this airline again, because it would have seemed to me that your crew lack social skills, are impolite, and may have language barriers. Luckily, my trip was round trip from NY to Bali and as such there were multiple connecting flights, and I had good experiences on all the rest. I really wish I had gotten the name of the 2 individuals I had a poor experience with, as I don't think they will help you in securing future customers."
Pros: "What a difference after getting off BA! Staff wonderful, always happy to help and always a smile. PE seats on new A350 are great, although too much cheap, hard plastic on seat back. Very comfortable with great pitch. Food exceptional and beautifully presented. Dim sum for breakfast was sensational. Pier Business class lounge breathtaking, with several large rooms with different food options, served to you - the fresh made noodles a must - and a staffed, well stocked bar. Absolutely gorgeous space."

Pros: "The check in staff were only doing their job, by insisting that I had an onward ticket before they checked me in, as per Thai immigration ruling. Otherwise, if I did not have an onward ticket, they stated they could not check me in, and would refund my ticket. The problem is there are many ways of travelling out of Thailand, and I frequently visit Cambodia and Thailand via bus. How could I produce a bus ticket which I usually buy only a week before departure?"
Cons: "That was a bit of a rude shock, as I had never encountered such obstacles before, and most fortunately I did indeed have a reservation for a BKK-GVA ticket, or I would have been refused boarding. Apparently the Thai immigration authorities have a condition for Swiss citizens to possess an onward ticket before they can enter Thailand, but this is the first time an airline has applied this as strictly, and has been as insistent, as Cathay Pacific. I have been in & out of BKK hundreds of times, and this is the first time ever an airline has applied this rule to the letter. So, bottom line, never again will I fly Cathay Pacific."

I've always preferred Qantas, and the service is still generally good, but someone has taken their eye off the food offering. Back from NZ it was noodles with a sauce in a cardboard box. No cheese and biscuits, no sweet. Air Tahiti/Air Cailin, etc.. give a decent meal while on International.

Cons: "We were charged $100 per bag and $50 per Kg over the weight limit. Baggage fees were not clearly listed when booking this flight. We found out about the cost when we were checking in to board. Jetstar should state up front in the flight cost area about their baggage fees, not hidden in the fine print. A side note, everything on the flight cost extra; water, Wi-Fi, etc. Once the added fees are calculated into the cost, Jetstar is not cheaper than the other airlines."

It cost me NZ$ 215 to heck my two bags (one was admittedly heavy, but that is still an insane amount). I knew I would have to pay for bags but more money because of something that I was unable to adress is absurd."
Cons: "Hassled at luggage check in. Had to throw out clothes and shoes to meet weight requirements as they charge $25 a kilogram for extra weight which was not disclosed when we received our confirmation. We were the only ones hassled over being a few kilos over each. Many people hand large luggage carry ons which wouldn't even fit in the luggage testers yet no one said anything to them. 90 percent of the people were easily over the 7KG weight allowance for carry on luggage and were not hassled at all. It was pure discrimination and perhaps it was because I was italian or my wife had blond hair. Who knows. I have been on hundreds of flights in my life and have never been so humiliated in my life. The blonde luggage counter and boarding ticket taker, was insulting and even insisted on seeing our australian visitors permit which is not required according to Australian customs once you have paid for it and are registered. She even tried to force my wife to check her bag even though it fit in their luggage sizing testers. Another tall lady with glasses at the luggage check in area, was also very insulting and discriminated against us. Horrible experience. Both of those people would be fired if I was running the airline. Its a service business and while I understand rules, you have to have some discretion and if your going to enforce them, they must apply to all passengers, not just 2 people out of 150!"
Pros: "Please notify kayak customers at time of purchase the need to prepurchase the food. The flight ran out of non prepurchased food. Also, allow the kayak customer to purchase in flight entertainment at time of checkout if cheaper as it was for jetstar"
Pros: "I wasn't happy about the boarding part of it. On our tickets we were boarding through gat 18B and was changed to gate three but there was a serious communication breakdown so much that we had to rush to gate 3 the last minute thing after we looked or made enquiries for ourselves"

Thankfully we went to the airport early, were told to look at our confirmation online from the check in folks and found absolutely nothing regarding baggage there . and ended up paying for our bags at a reasonable rate because it was prior to check in ; however , other travelers were not so fortunate and ended up paying $70 per check through bag because it was literally impossible to find any place to check them in and people were stuck in a difficult situation without a choice . additionally we were told that we were only allowed 7 kg poor person carry on Travelers beware of this - to our knowledge it happened to international travelers, May have been New Zealander as well but are not sure about that . additionally we were told that we were only allowed 7 kg per person for our carry-on total carry on. This also is nowhere to be found on the Jetstar website !!!! for every killer that you are over you are charged an additional $15! We did arrive safely and the flight was fine ."

I will not use them in the future, you inform people in advance, not hide fees until check in. I don't trust them now."

Cons: "Had to carry carry-on suit case up and down stairs when boarded the plane. Based on the seat, half of the passengers boarded through regular ramped hall way, half boarded through back door that went downstairs to get out of the building, then up the stairs to the airplane. In Auckland airport international terminal, all passengers had to weight their carry-on and personal bags, and if it's more than seven kg, you have to check it in. This was the first time I experienced that. I bought gifts in the airport and planned to buy more. Our carry ons were a few kg over the limit, and we were sent back to the check in counter, where we just got our boarding passes and no warnings were given. We were lucky we had plenty of time during this transfer to go through all the back and forth hassles. Paying the extra $$ for the surprise check ins was not pleasant. There was another scale at the gate counter, which totally cancelled my shopping plan. To be fair, weight limit was not enforced when we boarded the plane, but you never know when that scale will be used. During the flight, I asked a flight attendant for water, and she told me to get it myself pointing the curtain half a plane away. Another new experience. This was the first time we took Jetstar, and on the way to New Zealand, we didn't feel it was too much different from the other airlines we flew before except you have to pay for everything from a cup of tea to meals and entertainment, and of course we didn't go through Auckland. The return trip really made us realize you get what you pay for."

When he realised his mistake, he seemed all the more confused. All in all, I have waited one hour in a line with five people ahead of me."
