Cons: "We were late arriving, the cabin crew although they were pleasant, didn’t do enough to allow the passengers to get off first, for the connecting flight. Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."
Pros: "Reliable service. Flew Air NZ twice without any hiccups. Boards on time, leaves on time. Get a biscuit (cookie), drink, and sweet. Had room on both flights also. Not packed to the gills and enjoyed the aerial view of the lovely NZ countryside."

So there I am from the USA in a foreign country boarding a flight being asked to pay 500 nz dollars for a few kilos when I had already paid for it. Having to produce emails and payment information on something I had done months in advance. Overall I won’t recommend virgin next time I’d book directly with air New Zealand"

While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."

Cons: "The boarding process in ORT was a horrible fail. they didn't announce the boarding of first/business and by the time I arrived at my seat there was almost no overhead room left because people from economy put there bags in the business area. The bathroom was definitely not cleaned enough, I went twice where the floor was soaked, the seat was wet and the sink full of toothpaste. I understand that every passenger should be responsible enough to clean up after themselves, but it was not an enjoyable experience. The crew was friendly enough, but it didnt feel like the personalized service experience that is usually the case (where they introduce themselves, explain the do not disturb sticker etc). Also I think there was something wrong with my seat because it didnt "lay flat" all the way."

Why do I and my carry-on luggage need to be checked twice? Once at the gate, all passengers are herded like sheep into an area that has insufficient seats for the number of passengers, so many are left to stand or sit on the floor. If the airline wants to use a plane that carries 500+ passengers, then use a gate that can accommodate that number."

The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."

Stopped someone and asked. They told me I was at the wrong terminal! Get to other, check in. Ask if I have to collect luggage and customs at LAX. No goes right threw. Wrong. Waited for cases at LAX. Have to collect & go threw customs. No cases, lost in Melbourne. Then I was ignored."

Meanwhile as we boarded nearly every passenger had an overhead bag that most certainly weighed more than 15lbs. Not sure what was going on there...also the seats are a little tight when reclined. Once the seat in front of me reclined back I had my knees in the back of the chair the entire flight and I am not a particularly tall person- made for a pretty uncomfortable 15hrs."

The last straw was that they diverted to Sydney instead of the final destination Melbourne as the crew was going over 20 hrs. With the diversion they saved about 45 min , but the exhausted passengers lost another 3 hrs in their already miserable flight. Also quantas NOT friendly for people traveling with kids.... BEWARE."

Cons: "The computers continue to be problematic. It took 25 minutes at the checkin desk to get the system to take my document numbers. Also the in flight movie system has issues with touch sensing, often being slow to respond and misreading the location of the touch."
Cons: "Economy boarding was in just 2 batches with the front rows first. This results in a lot of standing waiting for people to get into their seats. Entertainment was ok but could have used a better selection of movies. I ended up watching movies I had seen before."

Pros: "Great flight, punctual, great movie options, great food, friendly and helpful flight attendants. After the chaos of boarding and disembarking that marks domestic US flights, Virgin's quick and painless boarding and disembarking of a much larger aircraft was a breath of fresh air. Great job VA!"

Cons: "We normally love to check prices on KAYAK and then book directly through airlines which we thought we were doing in this incident. But after we booked we realized a third-party website – Webjet- would be handling our tickets which resulted in many problems. We ended up needing to change our itinerary in a simple way that would’ve been easy to do through the airline but webjet would not accommodate without spending $2500 in ticket fees. To avoid that we had to book additional tickets and take an additional flight that ended up being cheaper but quite the hassle that took way longer"

Pros: "It was a very bumpy flight due to the 100km/h+ wind in Melbourne that day. The landing was nice and easy in such bad weather. The cabin gave the pilots a round of applause."

Cons: "Disorganized boarding. Had to disembark due to light malfunction. 6 hours later we took off. I had paid extra to depart in that early flight, Virgin only gave us an $8 voucher- $8 doesn't go very far in an airport restaurant. Issue should have been fixed before passengers boarded. First time flying with them and am pretty disappointed. However, am happy they didn't crash us. I guess that's what really matters. Excellent cabin crew, they all went the extra mile during the entire debacle."

Cons: "I didn't like the fact that an air North plane was delayed for 3 hours causing me to miss this flight also I had contacted the airline directly to let them know that there was passengers on the inbound flight and they would not even consider holding the plane even though I booked a private aircraft to get there which cost me $3,000 extra I missed the flight by approximately 10 minutes"

Cons: "...but they randomly left my bag in Sydney with no explanation, creating very bad experience on a late night flight and causing me to get little sleep that night and following morning and ruining my plans in Melbourne the following day."
On time and nice service on board
Flight was good and the snack (toasted ham and cheese) was OK. The entertainment selection was great. Would have liked a canned softdrink as a choice.

Pros: "I am loving the fact how the crew are disembarking and embarking passengers. So far better than many big companies out there in North America"
Cons: "Terrible airline and airport system... the boarding system is a disaster... after waiting in line for so long they send you to different counters to pay for bags... on top of that they didn’t check in one of the 6 in my group by the attendant’s mistake and they closed the flight in us...there is a bussing system that “takes you to the plane” and when we finally made it to our gate the bus made their last of the 2 trips to the plane. So we lost our flight to Cusco and ruined our entire first day of touring in Cusco..... your system or multiple check in/ cashier/customer service counters is a disaster and it makes zero sense. I will NOT fly latam again."

Cons: "I've flown a lot of different business class flights in my time and these are the narrowest I've ever seen. I am not overweight but I felt very restricted in these seats. Add to the narrow seats is the design of the seat and armrests themselves and you don't have much space at all. No way I was going to be able to work on my laptop in this LATAM business class seat."

Pros: "The LATAM getting our boarding pass, going through the LATAM boarding area, getting on the LATAM plane we were stopped no less than 4 times by this airlines. The women were rude to us. Many people had presents for the holidays that were much bigger than our packs."

Cons: "Food was ok but not to the standards of Qantas / Emirates or Etihad The cabin seating etc, looked a little tired & dated & the seats mechanical operation was clunky. Toiletries bag provided was quite limited, but was fit for purpose."

Pros: "We are an American Family. We traveled on LATAM Sydney to Auckland round trip. The plane was brand new Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 with all the bells and whistles. The attendants who are Spanish speakers but bilingual were delightful. We had one meal on each flight and 2 rounds of drinks. We had no issues with carry on or checked luggage. To summarize we had 2 perfect on-time flights with no fuss or drama. I couldn't recommend them more even if I tried.."

The free streaming inflight entertainment to use on your smartphone, tablet or laptop is a very nice feature on a 3-hour plus flight. The food for sale onboard is tasty and fresh. In my experience most domestic flights operated by Latam are on time."
Cons: "Latam crams its single-aisle Airbus fleet with one or two rows of seats too many: the seat space is crammed. The exception are the first three rows and exit rows, for extra pay or free for elite passengers. The first three rows have power outlets -nice and useful to watch streaming movies without draining your smartphone battery."

Cons: "That there was a friend of the staff seated in seat 7 aile and the steward from first class kept on asking her if she wanted something to drink he didn't ask anyone else She asked for something and they brought her what looked like a cell phone in a blue case She was treated way better than all the other passengers and I just thought why can't we all be treated the same way"

Cons: "When I arrived to Jorge Chavez the ticket counter was down. I waited for 20 minutes and Brunella eventually gave me a boarding pass. The pass was hand written and missing information but she assured me it would be fine. When I attempted to go through security they informed me this wasn't a boarding pass and was missing information. They said I would have to go back downstairs to the desk again. have a visible disability that affects the way I walk, and typically I do not require a wheelchair. I give myself enough time to get to my destination, but thanks to Brunella I was running incredibly late. I finally arrived though my flight was then rerouted to Orlando due to weather conditions at Miami and never arrived in Miami. The pilot of this flight LA2514 decided he was done and wouldn't fly there at all. The passengers were informed they would take buses to Miami."
