We came back from Europe and needed to take a domestic flight to Palmerston North.We had a lot of handluggage that was allowed in our international flight, we had purchased an extra suitcase ticket to make sure it wouldn't be a problem. The lady that helped us was not willing to include any more items than 1 small suitcase that weighed only 11 kg, but we had paid for 23 kg. When we wanted to board the airplane we were told we could only take 7 kg each. Which caused problems and stress that we couldn't use after a 40-hour flight from Europe. We discussed this with the lady at the counter which wasn't really helpful to start with, but eventually, she let us board the plane anyway after we had to explain our situation a few times, and after she asked us to weigh our extra items, which of course we're more than 7 kg. We were pleased that at least she let us board our plane in the end. Hopefully next time we won't encounter the same problems."

Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

Having to produce emails and payment information on something I had done months in advance. Overall I won’t recommend virgin next time I’d book directly with air New Zealand"

I got a huge shock when I was first in line and I was told I would have to pay 370 dollars for both my bags. I was livid and quite frankly don’t want to fly or book with virgin ever again. That couldn’t even help me out with anything so overall I’m upset and will never fly with you Virgin. I will also let it be known about this. I’m just a young traveler traveling for education and I get stuck with this bill to where I shouldn’t even go because I spent so much money just for my bags :("

Pros: "We are an American Family. We traveled on LATAM Sydney to Auckland round trip. The plane was brand new Boeing Dreamliner 787-8 with all the bells and whistles. The attendants who are Spanish speakers but bilingual were delightful. We had one meal on each flight and 2 rounds of drinks. We had no issues with carry on or checked luggage. To summarize we had 2 perfect on-time flights with no fuss or drama. I couldn't recommend them more even if I tried.."

Cons: "Too many people have carry on baggage that is too big, no space left in the overhead bins for those boarding last. Seats are too narrow, even for a person that is not particularly big."

Especially they treat every passenger equally or all the same with given out for any extra cost e.g. food, drinks, entertainement any thing we need while we are up in the air needs. Pros: "no amazing crew and no warm and fuzzies"
Cons: "Pre bought meals and wasn't permitted hot chocolate for children. Eventually given and nothing said. On the journey over hot choc offered. Not a big deal. I think you fall down in customer service by not supplying a little like coffee and hot choc and a free snack. Possably will avoid flying Jetstar again. Service is paramount. And no entertainment available because it wasnt a long haul just a short haul though international. Mmmmm no to Jetstar i feel. I own a resort and i know what customer service must feel like."

Cons: "it is more like a Cage Chicken situation, where the seats and spaces are shrinking every day. No room to move and keens from people behind you is pinching your arse all the time. Should have pay bit more in Virgin or Qantas and get some space to breath. Kayak does not offer extra luggage at time of you booking and jetstar sucks you like a leach on upgrading after booking. One of the passengers were not able to travel and ticket was complete lost , where as the inbound flight on Qantas gave us credit for the future. In the end , the total cost ends up close to other airlines with all the discomfort on the flight free."

Cons: "Nothing. I've previously had very average experiences with Jetstar which made me uncertain about booking these flights but I was completely overthrown by the service turn-around. I'm now a Jetstar advocate."

Cons: "Jetstar is cheap and terrible. We were charged $160 dollars to check small, carry-on sized bags we had expected to take on board with us. This is 4 times the price on their website; that price is no longer available once you're at check-in. The service was slow and inefficient. Even after checking in online we still had to wait in line to check in at the counter. This took ages since at least 5 or 6 other people were having issues with Jetstar, like us. The flight itself was cramped (I'm a shorter woman and had almost no leg room) and there were no complimentary drinks or snacks for our 4 hour flight. We opted for Jetstar because it's the cheapest option, but ended up having to pay more than we would have for a much nicer flight with another airline."

Cons: "Children 12 and 10 booked online to fly to Melbourne for Easter. I rang the call centre to ensure they could travel together unaccompanied, as website was not clear. I was advised they could, and because I was concerned I asked this be noted on our booking so we wouldn't have any issues at the gate. I was reassured the children could travel and they made a note as requested. Turn up for our flight today and at the gate after saying goodbye to my children, they're stopped from entering the plane and I'm told they can't travel, despite the advice I received from the call centre and the note on our booking showing we were given this advice. We did everything right to make sure we could travel, just to be refused at the gate. Disgusting."

Cons: "they charged $150 to check in a bag over 7 kg (15 lbs). the size of the bag was fine (20"), and if you fill such a bag with regular clothes, two pairs of shoes, and a toothbrush, you will easily hit 9-10 kg. so this airline expects you to travel with a 20" bag that is only partially filled, which is ridiculous."

Cons: "5th time out of 7 times I've used Jetstar that the flight has been cancelled. At least this time I was fast enough to rebook for the next day. And then what happens? They delay that flight by 12hrs. These jokers should not be allowed to take money for a service they can rarely provide."
