The attendants who are Spanish speakers but bilingual were delightful. We had one meal on each flight and 2 rounds of drinks. We had no issues with carry on or checked luggage. To summarize we had 2 perfect on-time flights with no fuss or drama. I couldn't recommend them more even if I tried.."

I have never traveled internationally, and every email I received stated that I check in no later than 60 min before my flight so I went to check In one hour and 30 minutes before my flight and was told that it was too late to get on my original flight that was leaving well over an hour in time. Needless to say, I had to wait around for a flight that would be leaving 2 hours later and when I arrived at my destination, I had to pay for a taxi to get me to my resort when originally, it was included in my package. Everything after was fine, I was just really upset that I lost over 4 hours of my vacation trying to figure out how to get on the next flight out. The service at United was horrible. They seem to be very frustrated with their jobs and that is proven by the way they treat the customers. If I could rewind, I would have not driven 3 hours out of my way to go to Houston and I would have just left from a different airport. I have traveled quite a bit with southwestern and have had nothing but great experiences with them. Needless to say, I will try to avoid United as long as I can."

Customers are cash cows who can be sucked dry for every amenity."

Cons: "Lack of communication - after we had checked in at the airport (under 2 hours before our international flight time) we were notified that our flight was delayed by an hour and 45 minutes. After waiting about 4 hours everyone started lining up in their respective rows and that's when the terminal United employees decided to inform us all that all passengers need to get in line at the desk first in order to get their passports inspected and get an approval stamp before lining up. Could have easily been done in the hour and 45 minutes of delay time we had. It's now 11:30 am, 2 hours past the original flight time and 15 minutes past the original delayed time, and we were all still in our respective lines to board the plane. The delay was due to the catering cart that had not yet arrived. So we were all waiting for about 30 minutes in line just to board the plane. During this time United decided to promote their Entertainment onboard and alcohol available for purchase once we are airborn. Finally when we were on board and about to be airborn is when the first apology was heard from the crew. This could have been managed much more effectively and professionally."
