Pros: "crew were fantastic. stewardess called Stacy was wonderful; had to time to chat and sort out my diet problem (gluten free) in time for the return flight. i've flow on a variety of airlines over the years and, frankly, ANZ is by far the best for friendliness, efficiency and understanding. Big Thanks"
Pros: "Crew were very helpful"
Cons: "First time travelling with the airline and wasn't aware of having to book things like food and entertainment. These things come standard with all other airlines I have flow with so was very surprised when finding out about it mid flight. Can't say I was very pleased but must say crew were very good"

Pros: "The airport was great! Very easy access, fast check in and security. Loved the LOTR theme. Uneventful and beautiful flight."
Cons: "Everything was great"
Pros: "Reliable service. Flew Air NZ twice without any hiccups. Boards on time, leaves on time. Get a biscuit (cookie), drink, and sweet. Had room on both flights also. Not packed to the gills and enjoyed the aerial view of the lovely NZ countryside."
Cons: "Nothing... didn’t give 5 star due to no monitor/tv for entertainment but with such a short flight it really isn’t necessary."
Cons: "Charged us for baggage, even though the flight was international and clearly stated on their website international flights included baggage. Had to pay more than we paid for our flights just to check a bag."
Pros: "Friendly and helpful staff"
Cons: "No WiFi or outlets on aircraft"
Pros: "I liked that it got me from point a to point b. I had to pay extra to watch movies, no meal on an international flight (tbh I'm not sure what I ticketed and didn't tick while booking, but I mean it was nz to aus, come on)."
Cons: "Not getting my luggage across the ditch, paying for movies as an extra, no meal."
Pros: "Premium Economy was worth the price! The section was not as full, and the service was wonderful."
Pros: "Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good food, comfortable seats, and excellent entertainment choices."
Pros: "We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline."
Pros: "Food service"
Cons: "I selected two bags on kayak but when I checked in at Air New Zealand they said I just had tickets. Was forced to pay the full price for the baggage."
Pros: "Not much to like with the cattle car ride that was an hour late."
Cons: "I was shocked at the baggage charge upon checking in and was told I just purchased a seat from Virgin Australia but no baggage transport with the flight. When kayak directed me to VA, I made the purchase and certainly did not remember being offered a chance to purchase baggage fee as other airlines offer (e.g. BA). While I understand kayak refer users to search airlines baggage fees it need to make sure that airlines offer true and baggage fees at the time of purchase so the full cost of flight is clear at purchase time."
Pros: "The crew, food, entertainment made the flight comfortable"
Cons: "I felt I was gouged on my 2nd bag fee with an outrageous cost of $200.00 aud or $150.00US. It only weighed 20lbs. as well."
Cons: "Issue with baggage, i.e. no indication of what was included in the ticket and no way to pre-pay for luggage (at what I already considered an exorbitant rate of 60$ per piece) so ended up having to pay120$ each for 2 checked bags at the airport!"
Pros: "Had premium economy and on such a short flight is luxury. Boarding via the stairs as it's an island was good. Crew are always great. PE is pretty comfy on NZ. This was a day flight so we didn't sleep. Food was great. Great range of entertainment options but can't wait for Wifi!"
Pros: "Technology viewing screens"
Cons: "Connecting flights from Charles Dr Gaulle airport to Heathrow airport"
Pros: "Queenstown/Christchurch: quick and easy. Air New Zealand does a good job."
Cons: "All g."
Cons: "Not much"
Cons: "Couldn't check in online and book seats. That was a bummer."
Pros: "Excellent service, seats, big screen, etc ✅"
Cons: "Food was okay."
Pros: "Good IFE"
Cons: "No enforcement of carry on - therefore no bin space"
Cons: "Slow service and delay exiting"
Pros: "Fantastic crew!"
Pros: "Getting on was a delight in Wellington. Having two set of doors open was great."
Cons: "Getting off in Auckland, only the front doors open so took what felt like ages to get off."
Pros: "Plenty of movies. Tight legroom and harder to get into seats with pillows, headsets and blankets on seats and the plastic bags make them slip everywhere.. Maybe pass them out after everyone had boarded."
Cons: "See above. Plus it was a rough turbulent flight."
Pros: "Lovely experience. Great service and atmosphere"
Pros: "Staff and the cleaninless of the plane."
Pros: "amazingly pleasant crew, great food, efficient service, very comfortable."
Pros: "Lots of entertainment options and friendly crew."
Cons: "flight was seriously delayed, poor communication from staff & NZ Air app to travelers re reason for & how long delay would actually be. Shortly after we finally boarded I got a text saying our connecting flight from Christchurch to Dunedin was cancelled. So, we were flown to Christchurch & given hotel accommodations for the night, only to be flown BACK the next day to Wellington to catch a flight to Dunedin. All in all quite infuriating."
Pros: "Flew from LAX to NZ and then to Tonga. Both flights were amazing with the best cabin crews. I would highly recommend Air NZ."
Pros: "Airport was easy to get to and the flight was very smooth and comfortable on a twin engine plane that is quite modern (noise level very minimal even though it is a propeller plane). Air New Zealand attendants were super friendly and helpful."
