Very professional, attentive, good food, little amenities that make a difference in the overall experience of traveling. Very clean bathrooms, even after a 16-1/2 hour flight to Taipei it was still clean at the end of the trip. Food was good and plentiful, wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages offered. Came around at least three times on the leg to Taipei with food and water and when I wanted more water they gladly made sure I stayed hydrated on such a long flight."

They wouldnt listen to my requests to change flights until it was too late. JFK airport put out a notice at 7:30PM stating that they woukd be closed until 7am the next morning. However, i recieved an email from EVA airlines AND Kayak around 9 PM stating that my flight was on time... the airport was closed!! Terrible organization... overall a really bad experience."

It was also very limited options almost everything in the menu contained pork and if you did not pre-order a meal in advanced then it was hard for you to get anything else to eat. Airline also forces you to take out your headphones from the TV set almost 20 minutes before arriving for some odd reason. And on my flight we had a two hour delay on the tarmac."

When my trip was changed by the website (vayama) to fly back to the states, EVA Airlines went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care, placed on another flight, and made it home to get to work the next day. They didn’t have to take care of me, but the did and the professionalism is amazing! I’m very pleased with this airline and will fly with them again!"

The Delta flight was delayed on the tarmac of JFK for 45 minutes, giving us only 15 minutes to go to the EVA terminal and check in. The terminal was nearly empty when we ran up to the counter. Luckily, the agents had not closed down yet. They attempted to check us in when they realized that the airline cancelled our ticket because our Jetblue originating flight was cancelled. The agents worked furiously to ensure we got on the flight, even communicating with the gate to let them know we were coming. They rebooked our tickets and got us on the plane. We are so appreciative of the EVA staff at JFK for saving our vacation."

Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

We photographed and sent through passport details. We phoned the booing site, we phoned Virgin, we were put on hold for 25 mins while the booking site phoned Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us out! My husband was not able to board the flight - no refund, no help - and the sad part was, it wasn't for a holiday - it was to visit and help his 87yr old father-in-law who had fallen and cracked his spine. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Cons: "29 passengers were arriving in JFK from MSP, a flight that was delayed due to ground staff issues at JFK (which means that Emirates' partner airline had some issues?). Plane was delayed but we landed just in time to make the connection or so we thought. After running through the terminal, we saw our plane attached to the gate for 53 minutes(I have pictures to show) but Emirates gate staff said the flight is now closed, and didn't let us board the flight. They didn't help us rebook our next flight, or pay for hotel or transportation. And some of us couldn't fly for 2 days because they were overbooked on their future flights. And that's what really happened - Emirates was overbooked for our flight, and conveniently used the excuse that they didn't know our flight had landed in JFK (seriously), and their ground staff was totally non challent about it. They asked us to call the partner airline to rebook, who instead asked us to call Emirates. 4-6 hours of calling for most of us in the middle of the night. Emirates has social media presence on Twitter & Facebook but it's like chatting with a wall. Its 100% useless and waste of time, and I have asked them where I can send my complaint but they won't respond."
Cons: "worst crew i have ever encountered in spite of repeatedly calling them they just completely ignored my calls served me wrong food and when i said i needed a veg meal they said they could only serve if it was pre-booked when i showed them my pre-booking details on my cell they agreed to serve me one. Very disinterested crew in serving the guests badly managed from my early, also the pizza slice emitrates serves is a non veg pizza its clearly written on the box preparation may include eggs fish etc.. and they did not have any substitute for the same. Multiple passengers kept on disturbing me and asking me to shift my seat even when i was sleeping and the crew did nothing about it because of this experience i would not choose to fly emirates again"
Cons: "Most horrible experience... customer service is horrible ... didn't even take the flight . They delayed the flight and they think it is ok to put us on any flight they want . I booked the flight because i was particular on the shortest duration of the flight they rebooked me on a flight that would have taken me to my destination after 36 hrs and the way the crew spoke was so horrible. It was as if they did me a favor by putting me on another flight."

Cons: "Checking in at the airport- the staff person who I dealt with was combative and inflexible. I had to ask the manager to mediate till the matter was resolved. As frequent travelers, I am aware rules change and am willing to comply. Being told my hand baggage had to be checked in and I cannot redistribute the weight or put things into my checking bags that were yet to be tagged was unreasonable. Started my trip on a negative note which was avoidable. I have found the training crew get and the ground staff get are disparate. As efficient as the onboard crew are, the ground staff in DXB and now NYC do not match up."
Pros: "Had a wonderful trip with many pleasant surprises - kind and efficient crew, tasty meals and a variety to choose from, cameras to see the outside at all times, and special treats for kids (photo, travel pack, meals, etc). Looking forward to the next trip on Emirates!"

Cons: "I had 2.5 hours to get from terminal 5 to 4, check in and get to gate. I almost didn't make it. The lines at emirates check in were insane and didn't move for a long time (online checknin was unavailable). TSA at JFK also. Easy slow and my TSA precheck didn't appear for my pass."

Pros: "Emirates is easily the beeeest airline out there. Their economy beats almost every other airline, and their rewards system is fantastic (truly rewarding -- I get free flights all the time for being a Skywards Silver member). The food is so much better than other airlines too. I ordered a vegan meal and their vegan meals over the past 6 years went from absolutely awful to incredibly delicious and gourmet. Their entertainment system is also the best Ive seen across all airlines. They have movies that are literally still in theaters, as well as old classics, comedies, horrors, tv shows, world movies in every language, audiobooks, meditation guides and more. The crew is totally accommodating. Happy to keep flying on Emirates for every flight !"
Cons: "I haaaate that there are no footrests. It literally makes the biggest difference. These flights are always so long and its impossible to sleep unless you have three or so seats in a row to yourself."

Pros: "The flight was lovely. The seats were much wider than typical airlines and comfier. I had plenty of space, especially for my legs. I was able to sleep comfortably for most of the flight. The in flight entertainment was also amazing. The TV's all worked and there were plenty of movie/ TV show options. It helped pass the time. It was also free which was great. All and all it was a wonderful experience. I loved flying Emirates."

Boarding a was a bit disorganized and mob like, but seemed to go well enough."

We were very impressed by the quality of service, the meal and entertainment offerings- it was a nice memory of how flying with USA airlines used to be in the good ol days. We flew economy so nothing special was added to our basic service."

I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."

Cons: "1. Flight 12 left 2 hours late from New York 2. Flight left 21/2 hours late from Los Angles 3. We asked to be seated on the tiles , as we are seniors we needed to get up regularly during the night (16 hour flight during the night) We were seated window and middle seats. The person on the aile was had a broken knee and was wheel- chaired on to the plane. As a result we could not get up to go to the bathroom. 4. Because we left late from Los Angles , we missed our connecting flight on to Auckland. Qantas was kind enough to apologise, put us on another flight and gave us vouchers worth a grand total of $10. 5. We then arrived 2 hours late in Auckland, where we missed our connecting flight to Wellington. 6. Our 2 bags that were checked-in at New York are still missing. This is being written 4 days left New York. 7. WE have since had to purchase new winter clothes."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 1 and a half hours to start with. Although the entertainment system on the plane is very good, half way through the flight it started having issues. Movies stopped playing and then the whole system locked up. First it was just individual seats that had problems but eventually the entire plane was unable to view anything. Even a complete reboot did not help. We spent the last 6hrs of the flight unable to view anything even though they repeatedly tried to reset the system"
