I was very impressed with this airline. The plane was clean. The attendance were nice and it was a great comfortable experience. The zipper on my suitcase broke after I checked it, and they wrapped it all Thailand plastic wrap to prevent it from coming apart during the flight. When I got to Los Angeles, all of my items were safe and still in the bag. That is above and beyond!

I was very impressed with this airline. The plane was clean. The attendance were nice and it was a great comfortable experience. I was very impressed with this airline. The flight was comfortable the plane was clean and the attendants were very nice. The zipper on my suitcase broke after I checked it. The airline wrapped it in plastic wrap, so it wouldn’t continue to fall apart. Every item I had in the suitcase was there when I got to Los Angeles. That is above and beyond!

Cons: "The business class seats were smaller than I thought and not so comfortable as the 777. The seats are hard and ungiving and when you sleep on them you really feel it. Plus the flatbed lay out meant you were basically lying in a question mark position, not so goof for tall people like my husband. The food was good but uninteresting and I think for an overnight flight there should be more smaller,lighter, non spicy options offered rather that full dinners."

There are plenty storage space in your seat space. The entertainment system has many choices and has a lot new release movies and shows."
Cons: "Unfortunately, the ride on Boeing 777 is not as smooth as the Airbus'. The noise in the cabin is louder. The seat is comfortable but the bed is not. First, the flat bed is not transformed by a button and it needs a physical person to flip it over. The mat is thin and I can feel some hard edges while lying down. The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

Pros: "This time I made the mistake of flying with my kids (4 and 6). The flight or them was last minute (booked less than 8 hours before take off) so there were no pre-planned kids meals etc. The in cabin team were awesome! They made sure they go a choice of meals, that they had things to do, that they were enjoying the flights. This on top of the usual awesome that they have."

She kindly moved me to the exit seat and made sure I was sitting in aisle seats for the rest of my three flights. All until boarding the process was quick and breezy. In flight, the attendants were professional and friendly. Always smiling and helpful. The entertainment section and food were superb."

The comfort of the chairs recline and foot rest that raised up was great. The big tray table that tucked away was nice. And side pockets for your stuff was great. The comfort of the bigger seats was just excellent and they looked newer. On my flight back from Frankfurt to NYC that was the best flight I ever have taken."

That’s just outrageous and the staff was not helpful at all"

This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

We were at the airport at least 2 1/2 hours before boarding time. The mistake could have been rectified, we were told it would need an email from Virgin to confirm and change the booking. We photographed and sent through passport details. We phoned the booing site, we phoned Virgin, we were put on hold for 25 mins while the booking site phoned Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us out! My husband was not able to board the flight - no refund, no help - and the sad part was, it wasn't for a holiday - it was to visit and help his 87yr old father-in-law who had fallen and cracked his spine. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

Shortly after we finally boarded I got a text saying our connecting flight from Christchurch to Dunedin was cancelled. So, we were flown to Christchurch & given hotel accommodations for the night, only to be flown BACK the next day to Wellington to catch a flight to Dunedin. All in all quite infuriating."

Frequent offers fof drinks to stay hydrated was very good. The seats were large enough to be comfortable. The number of entertainment options was exceptional."
Cons: "The air plane was freezing cold - I could not even be comfortable sitting in my seat with a blanket on. The woman next to me had 2 blankets on. I could not check my luggage when I arrived at the airport. I had to sit with my luggage for 3 hours just waiting to check it. So I could not enjoy the 7 hours I had before my flight - to walk around the city, or even shop in the airport. I could not select a seat when I checked in on line - even though it was 20 hours before my flight. Even though I was traveling alone I could only get a middle seat. There were no non-meat food choices for the meal. We could not hear the announcements at boarding - no one knew what was being said."

Checked our carry on luggage for being "too heavy" in spite of the fact that it was the exact same luggage we carried on for the flight out which meets all necessary size restrictions. Boarding was very disorganized, no announcements were being made, flight attendants were simply holding up signs at chest level which were completely blocked by the crowd."

Cons: "I booked roundtrip flights in two legs, so Jet Blue, Emirates, Emirates, Jet Blue. The two airlines didn't seem to interface. In each direction for some reason, I was unable to check in online for the second flight, which didn't make sense (so Emirates there and Jet Blue back). On top of that, neither could give me boarding passes that would work for the other. The customer service kiosk took about 15 minutes to get this done for Jet Blue in JFK."

Cons: "In my flight from Milan (MXP) to New York (JFK), I had a seat on 63C (aisle seat). A woman seating on my sided asked me to change my seat with her son who was on 74F (middle seat). I said no, because it would be a seat several rows back an in the middle. I had paid more to have the aisle seat, so it did not make any sense to change to a middle seat. However, some minutes later, an Emirates employee asked me again if I could change the seats. He created such an awkward situation, that it was impossible to do not change to the other seat. I tried to argument that he was giving me no other option, but to accept the change. In summary, I had a good seat due to the higher fee that I had paid, but I was transferred to the back in a middle seat. I thought Emirates was a serious company. As I told their employee, I do not plain to fly with them anymore."

There were only about 10 people in front of us in this line, but the guy working the counter had no urgency and would frequently stop to make jokes and chat with his coworkers beside him. There was another woman in tears because she was about to miss her flight. Then, once we waited in another insanely long, slow line to board, our flight was delayed over an hour with us sitting on the plane, which caused about half the plane to miss their connecting flights (including us) in London. This then caused us to miss our final connection in the states, which happened to be a standby flight. When trying to rebook a flight to the states from London, we explained how difficult it would be to get another flight out of our original airport in the states since it was now the weekend. The customer service rep informed us that as long as British Airways 'fulfilled their contract' to get us back to the one destination, it wasn't their issue how we got another flight back home."

On an airplane that will always be use on long haul routes I won't expect the usual non-really-reclinable last row of seats. Moreover, the armrest does not disappear between seats when moved upwards, it goes up only 45 degrees. Quite a nuisance traveling with your s.o. or children if you want to lean on each other."

I arrived 3/31 and a few hours later received messages that my son had passed away from a heart attack. My wife had been in Italy for a week at this point at a conference. We had to purchase tickets on very short notice to get home. I was charged over $2700 per ticket, nothing credited for the tickets we already had to return to the US on 4/2. So not only were we deeply upset at the loss of my son, we were pillaged by the airline with for very expensive tickets to sit in the last row of the jet. I certainly will remember this regarding future flights on British or American Airlines"
