Cons: "Qantas left our luggage in Sydney. Once we were in Koh Samui it was up to Bangkok Airways to sort it out. The file reference we were given wasn't recognised by the Qantas website, the three phone numbers in Bangkok just gave a 'number disconnected' message and one was no answer. We had to cancel a planned event on day two and shop for clothes for a specific activity on day three. The only way to make contact with Qantas was via Instagram, Luggage did appear but so far no contact or apology from Qantas. We will not fly with Qantas again. Virgin Australia is our carrier of choice who outperform Qantas in every respect. This flight was gifted so we had no choice."

They did not stop passengers from unloading their bags and standing up before the flight even stopped at the gate. I am frustrated with Qantas overall because we landed late and because of the customs requirement we had to pick up our bags and bring them to another bag drop for my American Airline flight to Tampa. Because of the flight delay and Customs I missed my flight by 10 minutes. And am now awaiting the next flight home which was 4 hours later."

Food was not great but we we were not offered anything to drink not even water with the meal until we had finished eating. I know crew works hard but that seemed a time management problem. There is no service involved plonking down a tray. Water could be included."

Flights were punctual and aside from major delays, went as planned. The kindness and responsiveness of the crew made the flight more bearable. What can I say? Everything went very smoothly. To me, a sign of competent management and good work ethic among Qantas employees. Very impressed. Good job Aussies!"

I contacted the airline an hour after my flight landed and they showed no urgency to recover my item that had a lot of value to me. When i did check 4 hours later, they told me to check in 2-3 days. When i checked in 2-3 days they asked if I filed a report. Which I wanted to on the same day but was told not needed. Very disappointing ground services."

Cons: "We booked two vegan meals at the time we purchased plane tickets but the crew said they couldn't find our meal reservation, and didn't seem to care much that all they could offer us on a 14-hour flight was a couple fruit cups. Additionally, we had to land in Brisbane to refuel due to the "fog" in Sydney -- I checked other flights into Sydney later in the day and none others were re-routed due to fog -- which added almost 2 hours to our flight."

I was also charged for "excess" luggage because my bag was over 15kg (because I had been traveling internationally, my bag was 20kg) so in total I had to pay $125 just to check my bag. I would have saved more money booking my flight through a major airline in the first place."
