This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

We were at the airport at least 2 1/2 hours before boarding time. The mistake could have been rectified, we were told it would need an email from Virgin to confirm and change the booking. We photographed and sent through passport details. We phoned the booing site, we phoned Virgin, we were put on hold for 25 mins while the booking site phoned Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us out! My husband was not able to board the flight - no refund, no help - and the sad part was, it wasn't for a holiday - it was to visit and help his 87yr old father-in-law who had fallen and cracked his spine. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

Meals and refreshments on board were just great and I enjoyed that the crew didn't disturb me (Emirates are particularly rude in this regard) when it was clear I was sleeping until descent."

Cons: "I was not a fan of the A380 prior to my flight, and was even less of a fan after. The boarding in Melbourne was chaotic- for some unexplained reason, Qantas felt the need to quarantine the seating area around the gate. This led to a minor stampede as all 5,000 passengers thought the flight was boarding. The Qantas staff at Melbourne, from the check-in desks, to the boarding crew were all apparently over-whelmed. It wasn't any better upon arrival at LAX- the baggage area was chaos as our arrival apparently caught the LAX baggage handlers by surprise. I had a four-hour layover in LAX, yet still managed to miss my connecting flight after an excessive delay getting our checked bags, the line through customs, and rechecking in through the TSA - and that was WITH an expedited screening pass."

Cons: "Only one drink service included, which came with the first meal. The rest of the options were water throughout the flight until breakfast when juice or coffees and teas were offered. Entertainment was a little dated, including HBO series from the early 2000’s rather than newer shows. Flight was an hour late without explanation & there wasn’t the starry night sky that I heard so much about. Overall I’d fly again if it was a good flight deal but I wouldn’t specifically seek the airline out when planning another trip."

The flight attendant told me they don't usually give out headphones on my particular flight, however 15 minutes into the flight she walked past and had a pair for me to use. I was really impressed by the level of service and the fact she remembered where I was sitting. Great customer experience!"

Thus my “budget airfare” from Sydney to Coolangatta was $94, my checked bag in the other direction cost $124! This was the only hiccup, but the bag check process was unnecessarily expensive, unwieldy, and confusing."

As far as I am concerned Jetstar need a watchdog to take this up on travellers behalf. How can a few filos cost that much - when you can book your luggage through for $25.00."
