All throughout the duration of the flight no one go for the extra mile to assist me as I was alone with a toddler. I have to ask for the bassinet 3x and it took them a long time. No one gave us the toddler meal which I ordered previously. I thought emirates was a better airline than qatar airways but I was gravely mistaken. Even China southern can do better than that. Horrible."

Both directions it seemed that the company approach to beverages was to serve as little as possible, perhaps to keep people out of the bathrooms. But the cabin air was so dry I could barely swallow at times one way drinking only what was provided, but the other way I noticed that my jet lag was greatly reduced when I carried and consumed an extra liter or two above what was provided. At one gate the security crew asked me to dump my water, but I had a small empty bottle with me that I could fill up at the spigot near the bathroom on the plane as needed."

While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned. On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day. Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days. I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. Cons: "I paid for the exit row and did not get it. Originally I paid for 10B and 10C which were on the exit row on the seating chart. They then cancelled my seats so I had to go back online and pick again. They wanted to charge me again so I called BA and got seats 10D and 10E which were also supposed to be exit row seats. They even asked me if my wife and I were physically able to follow flight crew instructions for the exit row. When we boarded we found out 10D and 10E were now the row in front of the exit row which did not recline. After being packed like sardines on the flight from Philly to London I was looking forward to some legroom. It could not have been any worse."

Cons: "British Airways misplaced our luggage for three days, and would give us no further information than "it will arrive soon." So, we were stuck near the local address we had provided in case they called for 2 full days. They refused to give us a more precise time as to when they would be delivered. Well, at one point they did say that they would be delivered at noon, but they weren't. Throughout the entire time waiting for the luggage to be delivered, there was no sense of urgency or concern on the part of British Airways. It seems missing luggage is just Business as Usual at British Airways."

Then we got to go and she looked at my bag and said it won't fit. She told a us to put it I the box, it fit. She was not happy. The case has been a carry on for five flights prior to this flight."

Pros: "The crew s oustanding. They were courteous, helpful, very professional and made the flying experience a pleasure for my family. With respect to the Miami ticket agents, there are 3 people I want to highlight for excellent service. Denise, who courteously accommodated our family and rescheduled our flight as needed, another young lady who checked us in. She was sensitive to our party of 5 and was extremely pleasant. The check in process was chaotic at best and she helped make it a pleasant experience. The person is Diane, the manager at the Miami airport. She helped bring order to a completely disorganized check in process and ended up personally escorting us through security toe sure that we made our flight on time. Diane is an excellent leader."
Cons: "The check in process was completely disorganized, due to a cancelled flight from Miami to Heathrow the night before. And there were 3 scheduled flights already that people were checking in for as well. There had to have been at least 600+ people in line to check in, plus those from the night before. The Miami airport doesn't have kiosks for passengers to easily check in and bag drop, which doesn't make sense in such a large and busy international airport. That would have made a huge difference in this case. Also, we paid for our seats to select them prior to 24 hours and we ended up not sitting together."

Unable to use the entertainment, as I was unaware had to use my own device, which I had not set up in advance."

I discovered change when I arrived to check luggage curbside at EWR. 3 hours of stop and go traffic to get there. See other box re kiosk problems. Boarding pass didn't have my TSA FTN so had to go back. Could not check luggage curbside. Got seat in last row when I noticed boarding pass had no seat assignment. They lost my luggage at SFO. There's more, but..."
