Pros: "The crew was very polite and very helpful. Boarding process was smooth and easy, however, the Singapore airport has security checks at every gate prior to boarding. This meant that after clearing this security process at the gate, bathrooms were not available until after boarding the flight and drinking water stations were not easily found in the secure boarding area. The aircraft was comfortable, menus were distributed early so that meal options could be made with full information in advance. The food was good and made available at routine intervals."
Cons: "On a 14 hour flight, staying well hydrated is very critical and difficult. It would have been nice for the crew to make more frequent trips through the cabin to offer just water refills to keep passengers hydrated and reduce plastic cup usage."

Cons: "JustFly billed the wrong price, then to fix that,created a new ticket with my name misspelled and failed to cancel the original ticket. We later upgrade seats via Singapore then discovered the duplicate booking and misspelling. To fix that JustFly cancelled the booking with the seat upgrade. Singapore restored our upgrade at the airport but only on one direction so we had to go through it all again."

Pros: "To be honest I had a pretty bad flight because my allergies exploded during the entire flight - constant sneezing, runny nose, you name it. However, the attentiveness of the crew really made up for it. The cabin was decorated with tiny wreathes (so cute!), and the pillow/blanket was very comfortable/warm for an Economy seat. Although I did not use it as much, the entertainment seemed top-notch. And the crew-- they noticed that I was not feeling well, and offered me peppermint tea and snacks that did sooth things a bit (you can request for snack/beverage refills anytime!). I loved that they gave out black socks to the passengers too (I prefer taking my shoes off during the flight, so the socks added warmth & prevented my own socks from getting dirty). All in all, it was one of the best-serviced long flights I had, not to mention probably the most affordable price I paid for my annual trip to Korea (from LA)."

Pros: "Booked these flights though Kayak. Landing from LAX at 0730 at Auckland international terminal and then departing at 0900 from the domestic terminal. This is not enough time, doesn’t allow for customs and immigration. It was a really stressful experience running between terminals with my luggage, as there was less than a 1 hour window after getting through customs and immigration, so the bag drop at international wouldn’t accept them. Got to departure gate 12 minutes before plane departure. You need more time to have a good experience !"

We photographed and sent through passport details. We phoned the booing site, we phoned Virgin, we were put on hold for 25 mins while the booking site phoned Virgin - but Virgin refused to help us out! My husband was not able to board the flight - no refund, no help - and the sad part was, it wasn't for a holiday - it was to visit and help his 87yr old father-in-law who had fallen and cracked his spine. No sympathy from Virgin, VERY DISAPPOINTED!"

Cons: "My entertainment system was very jerky, as if I was streaming on a uggling show internet connection, so couldn't really enjoy anything they had. Asked for a reset and either it didn't help or they didn't reset. By the time I wanted to ask for another reset, we were getting served dinner as the carts were blocking the aisles. Didn't get seats together with my wife. It was a 3-3 seat configuration. No empty seats and I ended up sitting behind my wife, in the middle seat. So no window or aisle for either of us. :("

Pros: "Flight from Toronto to Hong Kong was late departing due to a snow storm. Most on the flight missed connections. Cathay staff were waiting on the jetway with plans for everyone that missed their connection to Sydney. Just impeccable organisation and service."
Pros: "Everything thing worked out well except for the food for my wife. Sitting all the way in the back wasn't that bad because no one was behind us and we could fully recline."
Cons: "Kayak or Cathay provided no options to select meal preference while checking in online more than 24hrs before departure."
Pros: "food was awesome. the seats were pretty comfortable. the in-flight crew were always so helpful and smiling. there was quite a collection of movies to choose from which is nice."
Cons: "The ground staff at the departure lounge were most of the time chatting or walking in circles and chatting. Also they were not as organized nor as accomodating than expected. Kinda shows a lesser level of professionalism than the crew in other countries."

Cons: "I remember Cathay pacific having nice planes, but I guess things have changed. Plane, bathrooms, everything was downright dirty. Basically the only thing Cathay Pacific has going for it is direct LAX to HK, but that's it. I will try to avoid Cathay in the future"

Cons: "The first flight to Hongkong was delayed for 1 hour, so the connecting flight to London was change to a flight 10 hours later. Then that 2nd rescheduled connecting flight moved 10 hours later was AGAIN delayed!!! Wasted 1 day that would have been spent nicely in London. What a way to ruin our London vacation by Cathay Pacific."
Pros: "Access to Cathay lounge. Went to the Wing noodle bar and coffee loft. Had a good bite to eat before boarding flight running 15 mins late. My request to have my meal service delayed was welcomed by staf."

Pros: "I do the Canada-Australia trip fairly often to see my family, and Cathay-Pacific is my new fave. Cheaper than the usual, no problematic stops in the US and everything went perfectly smoothly. Thanks for looking after me!"

Cons: "The seats were extremely uncomfortable and dirty. Overall, the plane was very dirty. Floors were dirty. Plane was freezing and they didn't provide us with blankets. The staff was slightly aggressive and didn't want to help. They were more transactional in wanting to just do the basics of their jobs and not go beyond - unlike singapore airlines, Turkish airlines, or emirates."

We kept getting shunted to someone else and in the end no one did anything and we got stuck in terrible seats separated by many rows. Still better than United though."

Cons: "This was the least friendly crew I have ever encountered! Save one young gentleman, the crew was in such a rush to be efficient that the customer service suffered. The head stewardess was harsh, stressed and completely rude with both her staff and her crew. She snapped at several people during the flight and everyone was put on egg shells - not so comfortable for a 16hr flight"
Cons: "Flight was delayed out of Toronto for two hours and we sat on the Tarmac with no explation. Insufficient food for a 15 hour flight with no snacks offered except for two minute noodles in a cup which they ran out of. Catered mostly for Chinese passengers. Entertainment was very poor too, only a small number of English movies with the majority of entertainment in Chinese. Crew were rude and dismissive. Overall a great disappointment."

I was offered a window seat, which i hate, without considering to give me an upgrade. I was given 5,000 Qantas points, i don't know if they can be moved to my AVIOS."

Was frustrated with the poor response of Sydney airport go manage an obvious failure of their baggage handling system. No fallback procedure was activated(manual for eg) to actually progress baggsge hangling even for those with connections to make. Disappointed and embarrassed by the defensive attitudes of staff who were given no Support by mgt of either airport or airline."

Plenty of leg room on the flight and the cabin staff were fantastic, only thing that let it down was the food choice, but, as it was only a 3 hour flight this wasn;t really a problem. Would gladly fly with them again any time."

Space is the number one priority on a flight across the Pacific, and Qantas really doesn't understand that. I've taken Delta, American, and United across both ponds. Stick with them! After all, I can make my own food."

To make the story extremely short, qantas was not helpful or forthcoming with information regarding a way to get to my final destination. This left my wife and I stranded in a different countries airport for hours."
