Pros: Location was great, Ruths Chris steakhouse available from the lobby. View was nice, staff friendly. We had just arrived from a destination resort and so by comparison the hotel was not as nice, though it did cost about 35% less than the resort we just arrived from.
Cons: The thermostat in the room, a ridiculous item that is not very responsive to touch and constantly resets itself to "eco" mode which means "cold mode" (it won't get above 66 degrees) we called the front desk, someone from engineering came and replaced the "brain" of the unit and it worked well after that though it was never user friendly or intuitive. Not a good unit.

Cons: Immediately after checking in to our room, we noticed a bandage covering the light on the smoke detector. We could not immediately determine if the bandage was soiled or not, but it was a gross and uncomfortable series of events.

Cons: We arrived late in the evening due to delays and missed connections from Australia. The sofa bed was not made up,(we were a party of 3, staying for 11 nights) No cups or crockery or kettle, even though its a Luxury Suite. We continually asked for cups. Breakfast is delivered in recycled containers, so depressing and not consistent. This hotel is below the standard we enjoy in Hyatt Hotels in Australia.

Cons: the valet/parking is astronomical. i know that we are in dwntwn seattle but $55 a night is double what other hotels and parking garages nearby are charging, and it's a little off-putting to have the hotel employees recommend parking at OTHER hotels - a better contract with the parking company on-site (as we were told it was separate from hyatt??) should be in order to better provide for Hyatt guests. that's really our only gripe about our stay. all else was superb.

Cons: Forgot the beds are doubles and not queens! Tight fit, but it won't keep us from coming back next year. Quiet room even though facing I-5. Housekeeping showed up early to clean the room at 9am Sunday, we should have put out the do not disturb sign to not have to answer the door.

Cons: From the check in to check out I had unpleasant experience with Thompson Seattle, and I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. No matter how fancy their fascillity is and how perfect the location is. Front desk staff wasn't so helpful from the beginning. The first feeling I get from this hotel was not so friendly despite of their new 'texting services'. (you can communication with customer service by simply texting them) She didn't explained all the details about my stay. such as when the breakfast time starts from and how it works. unlike most of hotel breakfast you have to order the menu when you get to 'Conversation' which is dining for the breakfast. and they charge it to your room. Even though I choose 'Breakfast included' option and also got inform as so when I checked in, they charged me breakfast when I check out. even though they refunded it to me. but if you considering Thompson seattle is not a low class whatever hotel, it's very unpleasant experience. if I didn't check my receipt and asked them for the refund than I'm sure I didn't get refund.

Pros: The location is great - very close to the waterfront, Pikes Place, etc. and easily walkable to other popular neighborhoods. The staff was friendly and the hotel aesthetics were nice.
Cons: The bed was very, very firm. It was better than sleeping on the floor, but only a little better. I realize this is a personal preference, but worth mentioning for others who may struggle with that. I woke up in pain every morning.

Cons: the ice chest on my floor was empty, the water dispenser in the elevator area in the lobby was empty and not refilled, the door to the rooms made a loud noise when shutting and was hard to sleep, and the server at scout for brunch was icy and cold.

The rooms were well outfitted the beds comfortable and there is thoughtfulness to the amenities provided. Cons: I have nothing negative to say. The rooms decor is "classically old fashioned" but it fits a hotel of this vintage; the beds are still comfy and the technology is current. The paid parking is pricey, but expected for a downtown hotel. (And I'd rather have those of us who drive, pay the parking- rather than having every guest subsidize parking by paying higher room rates.)

Cons: When you choose rooms at the Westin there a few different “levels” you can choose from. Like 5 or so plus you can choose city or water view. We paid for having a better room and they put us on the 26th floor right in front of the elevator. Last time we stayed, we did not pay extra for the “better” room and we were on the 34th floor. However, when we asked to be moved away from the elevator staff was super accommodating and nice!

Pros: There is a lot of charm in this hotel and staff was excellent.
Cons: The room was very small, including the shower. Additionally, the elevator was extremely slow and small.

Pros: The staff was excellent. Very friendly. The location was convenient. We walked everywhere and the Uber/Lyft rides we took were within $6-$20. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The shower was too small. I am a small woman and it was hard for me to be in there and turn around completely. It was our only complaint about the hotel.

Cons: Bed next door (room 610, my daughter was in that room) banged against the skirting board when she climbed in too quickly. I could hear it through the wall.

Pros: The location was very close to tourist destinations.
Cons: The room we were initially given was not clean and the toilet did not work. We left to notify the staff and they did put us in a new room. When we returned to grab our belongings the toilet had flooded the room soaking our things. The room we were moved to was missing the records that were part of the draw to this particular hotel. The hotel does not have central air and you must heat and cool the room with a window unit which does not keep the room a consistent temp. My partner had a morning flight and we requested room service to be delivered at 8am. When the food had not arrived by 8:15 my partner went to check in and they had not begun preparing the meal. Breakfast was delivered to our room in to go containers with 1 set of silverware for us to share and one paper coffee cup for the pot of coffee we had ordered. We were drawn to this hotel as we are both music fans and the partnership with sub pop intrigued us. Unfortunately the hotel did not live up to the hype.

Pros: There was some sort of party on our floor lasting until 2 AM. I was hoping for some apology and or credit from mgt. but nothing happened. Usually pretty good stays in the past but not this time.

Pros: The location was great. Very close to my conference hotel and Seattle sights. Able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Bed comfortable. Blackout blinds very effective. Heating unit warmed up the room quickly.comfortable

Pros: Kate was great at check in, she couldn't find our reservation, but upgraded us to a king in a corner room with a great view! Very easy to get to from the Westlake train stop. They restaurant beside the hotel was great, we had breakfast there.

Pros: The location was great, and whoever checked us in was awesome, gave us the best restaurant recommendations.
Cons: The check-in was easy, was told parking was included but it’s not. We ended up paying separate after we checked out. When we got there the hotel seemed way more dated then the pictures and price. The beds had hair in the sheets/ on pillows, a couple stains, corners were not tucked in. It’s honestly looked like the sheets were maybe not washed.. there was dust piled on the vents, the ceiling panels were cracked open randomly throughout. We were all really disappointed, asked for a new room willing to pay whatever, couldn’t happen. Room across the way smoked weed all night to the point it gave us headaches. Front desk did nothing. Just really disappointing.. they were not as nice or clean at all for the amount of money you pay.

Cons: Some staff was very helpful, some not so much. I believe all Seattle hotels raise rates significantly because of cruise passengers disembarking. I would not go again during cruise season.

Cons: The room was basically a closet, the fact that it cost almost $250 and another $38 for parking is absolutely absurd. It's also terribly outdated. I would've stayed somewhere else had I known how disappointing and overpriced the room was.

Cons: It was falsely advertised, the room was very tiny, dark room, the lights were very dimmed, no room or space for our language, the bathroom was even smaller. No microwave or fridge, the room smelled awful and the bathroom was clogged. We were showering and the water was up to our shins. The door let in sound from the hallway, and to valet is $37 each day. I wish I would have known so we could have payed extra and stayed across the street
