I got a good deal for a room at central Seattle.
Location was great. Old world charm. Clean & comfortable.
Wasn’t told an amount over & above our room charge would be deducted from our account in case of incidentals. This meant we couldn’t use our card for purchases we thought we had sufficient money for.
Fantastic all around and I will speak highly of the hotel to all I know.
One more elevator?
The location was central to many nearby attractions. Beds were big and comfortable.
Bathrooms are tiny, plumbing is old and doesn't drain well. Staff not prepared at valet stand to park your car. No indication of where to park your car nearby. Very expensive for quality of stay. Quite a lot of homeless people staying around outside hotel.
Our room was clean. The food was delicious.
Free water bottle that's supposed to be in the room wasn't. We called on the first night but it wasn't delivered. Room service forgot one of our meals we ordered. They didn't realize it until we called for it. The roll away bed mattress was hard. There's only two elevators for both guests and the employees. There's no service elevators for the employees to use to deliver items to your room or housekeeping carts to get to the floor levels. Therefore, there's many people using the 2 elevators which makes it slow to go.
The historic, independently owned Mayflower Park Hotel is ideally located in thriving downtown Seattle and is connected to Westlake Center and its 80 boutique shops. Built in 1927, the classic hotel has been lovingly restored. The Pike Place Market, Seattle's Waterfront and Convention Center are a 5 minute walk.
