I thought every thing was fairly generic. The rooms are cozy. I liked that the shower is separate form the rest of the bathroom. I don't know about the amenities or facilities as i was not told of any, (even though i was charged for the ability to use them) . Over all the staff was attentive and friendly. Beyond this there was not much that was remarkable.
I didn't care for how small the room was. I guess expected a bit more for almost $200 a night (after hotel fees). One would have thought a Continental breakfast would have been in clouded in the price. I also was expecting a more hard rock or blues themes. I stead it felt more like a bathhouse or massage parlour on the upper floors. The free wifi (that im sure was not free) never worked. So after paying $123 and some change for a room that was listed at $78. I was still charged another $25 hotel charge. A $20 facility fee and a 15.6% hotel tax I am sad to say that i would not stay at again or recommend hotel Max.
The highlight of this hotel was the friendly and helpful staff. The room itself felt spacious and clean. Theres a nice big flat screen tv. The bed was comfortable. The toilet and sink were in a separate room from the shower. There is a good restaurant right next door to the hotel. It’s walkable to a lot of places like Pikes Place. And handy to light rail to the airport and plenty of buses go by.
They have these brew and roast meetings in the morning and afternoon and invite the whole hotel down for free coffee and drinks so everyone can meet and mingle
Something very minor the hotel hadn’t even considers an annoyance to its visitors. And they staff was extremely receptive to my suggestion.
The staff was above and beyond helpful and kind. I've stayed at Mex many times over the years but after this past experience the staff showed it will now always be our first option!
Super friendly to us and to my dog, great rooms, craft beer happy hour, good stuff in the mini bar. Only a half hour walk to Capitol Hill.
No great areas for walking a dog nearby. Parking is a little confusing and expensive. Mini bar is a little pricey.
