Pros: Beautiful hotel in Center City Philly. Loved how close it was to everywhere I needed to go. The room itself was very clean.
Cons: Where to begin. Staff was horrible to me, even downright rude. The housekeeping staff also did not knock so two of them got a "free show". Embarrassing to say the least. Lack of communication between them and the front desk.

I just had to get treated for a fungal skin infection that I didn't have when I got to Philly, and I'm not saying I got it at this hotel, but it's possible that they might be related...

Cons: Valet didn’t park our car until after midnight yet I had to pay for the parking. The car stayed double parked on the street. I was told there were a few weddings going on so there was nowhere to park our car. And one of the wedding parties must’ve rented a few rooms on our floor because they partied in the hallway from 1 a.m. until 3 a.m. or so. Running up and down the hallway, blasting music, screaming and slamming doors.

Couldn't have a better hotel. Top-notched staff. Large comfortable suite and bathroom. Requested a late checkout new year's day. The receptionist couldn't have been more pleasant when extending the time. She cheerfully said. "Mais, oui Madame, avec plaisir"! I have stayed here twice in the past 1 year or so. One of the reasons I enjoy visiting Philly so much now. Location is great, near plenty of shopping, restaurants of all types and many tourist venues.

The Sofitel team is always welcoming and attentive; it's like we're meeting old friends. The recent room refresh has done wonders - the rooms were always great but now they're modern, light and incredibly comfortable. This is an elite hotel and one of our favorites.

Cons: Room was a bit dusty, kids were both were sneezing and coughing before bedtime. You could see it on the nightstand, perhaps room was unoccupied for some time. Otherwise I highly recommend the Logan!

Cons: I paid for a room with a courtyard view and was given one with a view of the Street. The towels were very starchy and itchy to use. The shampoo was very low quality and caused both my husband and I to have dry and itchy scalp. The bedding had some sort of stains that they tried to hide by adding an extra sheet on top. The room was also very small and almost crammed. Overall, it seemed like the cost was only for the Hilton name and not for the quality. I’ve paid less for better service and quality in other large cities.

Pros: We loved everything about the Hampton Inn. Front desk staff were wonderful and checked us in early. Their greeting was fantastic, and all the staff always greeted you with a smile and a friendly word. The whole stay was like being included in one big happy family. Cons: Was not told that access to the hotel would be compromised due to street closures for a parade. Would not have booked the hotel if this was the case. Front desk was not helpful and were rude in helping Navi’s gate the situation. I was hung up on. The young girl who checked us in was rude, distant and I couldn’t understand a word she said. Made no eye contact and was less than welcoming. Did not get to check in until after the check in time due to the street closures. Had to pay for additional parking just to get out of our car to grab food. We walked to the hotel just to check in and relax but had to wait until they opened to bring in our bags. The bar staff was nice but didn’t seem to care when we (and other patrons) were solicited multiple times by someone not staying at the hotel while having a drink. It made for multiple uncomfortable experiences. I would not stay here again. And though the hotel was clean and beds were for the most part comfortable, (the sheets did not fit) we did not feel comfortable or welcomed and wished we spent out money elsewhere.

Pros: I allowed my 8 year old son to inform the front desk about the bathroom issue in our room as he wants to practice problem solving on various levels the way he sees me conduct business and I was very pleased that the staff listened to him and then sent housekeeping up to address the issue plus they gave him his own room credit so he could order room service the Marriott way.
Cons: Our room was supposedly cleaned as all rooms are expected to be however there were a little kids underwear on our bathroom floor so there's no way our housekeeping staff thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival.

Our hotel is housed in a century old, 10-story Georgian revival-style structure with intriguing historical flair, that was once the home to Philadelphia's marquee YMCA. Cons: We stopped at the bar on Saturday night and had a drink. We asked about the Sunday breakfast options and were told after checking that the buffet was available. The next morning we came down to enjoy the buffet only to be told that Ala Carte was the offering.
