Pros: There was nothing over and above what was reasonably expected of such a transaction.Cons: I requested to extend the rental period, however, the customer "service" person stated the rate for the days during the extension was twice the rate I had for the initial rental. He could do absolutely zero, nothing, utterly not empowered as a frontline customer facing representative to even attempt to make it feasible for me let alone achieve "customer delight." When ending the call the representative asked if he could do anything else for me, I responded, "No, your competitor is going to." The representative had no response other than to read the script on his screen and say, "Thank you, have a nice day." A bot has more decision making power and understanding. I went to an Alamo competitor, rented for an extended period of time and started a corporate account with that competitor. And that's how easy it is to loose the lifetime value of a customer. You can do better.

Pros: The staff at the Philadelphia off-airport location were very helpful, and they made the pickup quick and easy.Cons: As I waited outside the airport for the shuttle to bring me to the rental car lot, the blue National/Alamo bus approached as I waved, then drove right past me without even slowing. I'd been waiting for a while. A Dollar/Thrifty driver slowed down to check on me when I wasn't even waving at him, and ended up giving me a ride and dropping me off outside Alamo. So that was exceptionally cool and even heartwarming. When I mentioned it to the Alamo desk staff, they did give me a $25 discount. So ... I'm all good with it.

Pros: The staff was very good- they were well organized and working hard. There were lots of customers for limited staff. They were efficient and did their jobs well - there was no time for niceties other than polite service. They were inconsistent in enforcing the rule about "only the renter may come in the building". As a result my wife stood in the cold and watched other couples inside who elected not to comply with the stated rules. The car I got was adequate and functioned fine but was quite expensive (modest car- pretty high rate 140/2 days- tiny Hyundai) so it was adequate but not outstanding value. Return process was highly effective with good speed and no glitches. Again-staff is excellent. Overall- competent but modest value and inconsistent adherence to rules.Cons: Standardize adherence to rules. More staff on busy days. More product selection.

Pros: no, they were not helpful and they were misleading. Apparently they required an airline confirmation as we were paying with a debit card. 3 trips walking to the rental building in the rain the story changed slightly each time as far as what was need. never got the car and will certainly let all know that the Enterprise holding rental companies are incompetant.Cons: FIre the entire staff at the Philadelphia airport and hire a staff of concerned workers who work hard to keep their job and seek improvement, not the type that is hired and they feel entitled.

Pros: The staff were decent. they were friendly and somewhat understanding. The car I received was not the car reserved. and the car received had a horrible odor that the staff tried to convince me of cleaning products. IT WAS NOT!!!! and it smelled so bad the whole trip i had to personally buy air fresheners. Literally!!!! and i know some of my stuff smelled like the car after a few hours. NO GOOD!!!!!!!!!Cons: I asked for a better smelling car before i took it off the lot and they convinced me that the smell would go away. No the smell didnt. Car ran smooth.... also it woulda been nice to have some gas in the car before leaving the lot too.

Pros: Drop off was fine.Cons: There were no cars there when I arrived at my scheduled pick up time, and 5 other people waiting for the same reason. After waiting an hour and a half they drove me half an hour away to to a run down, dirty location in Kensington for a car with bird droppings all over and several dents and scrapes.

Cons: More specific instructions on how to get to the facility. The rental facility was literally across from the arrival location but I was waiting for quite a while for a shuttle bus. I stopped one of the other companies buses and he told me I could walk to it faster than waiting for the bus.

Pros: The car was like new, no issues.Cons: Why was I allowed to book a drop-off location that was closed on Memorial Day? The person at the Avis counter made ME call Avis to find a solution. The car also didn't have a full tank of gas.

Pros: NothingCons: The van never came to the airport and we had to walk to Avis,. Thent there were only two agents and we we #9 in line and that took an hour. The the car smelled terrible of smoke and there was bird mess all over the pasenger windshield. Upon the return thery were usin only one small bus to transport back to airport, a long line and again we had to walk back to the airport rather than wait the long time it wold have taken.

Pros: easy dropoffCons: I couldn't change my pickup. I was originally coming in Saturday and it changed to Friday. They would not take more money and extend the reservation. I literally had to stay at the airport hotel so that I could pick up the car the next day. Why wouldn't the business take more of my money? I thought that's way businesses are there for.

Pros: Nothing. We arrived at 10:40 PM only to find out that they closed at 8:00 PM - something that we had not been told ahead of time. AND, WE PREPAID! What a ripoff! I doubt that I will ever use Kayak or SixT again. Had it not been for another helpful rental car company, we would have been stranded and missed the event that we flew in for.

Pros: We were able to get reimbursed in fullCons: Kayak allowed us to select a pickup time that was after the site had closed. We ended up stranded and had to quickly make other arrangements which was very costly due to it being a last minute booking. I've used Kayak very frequently and I likely won't use it again after this issue. Really disappointing for us during our Wedding weekend.

I was struck having to go to another rental agency, and the vendor is very reluctant to give a refund for the wasted money as they provided no service. Pros: NothingCons: No Sixt shuttle showed up at the Philadelphia airport for over 40 min. Called the phone numbers in the email and no answers. Eventually paid Uber to take me to the Sixt office near the Philadelphia airport and it was closed and nobody there. Had to pay Uber again to take me to the hotel I stayed at. Stay away from Sixt. No service, no accountability and a broken system at this company.

Pros: Drop off was easy, but I still have not received the final bill.Cons: Pickup was a disaster, in spite of general manager's involvement. I ordered a Chrysler 300 (or similar). They didn't have one, and said they would "upgrade" me to a Subaru Forester. I told them I didn't want an SUV. They offered me a sedan for $33 more per day. I refused. They finally gave me no other option other than the Subaru, then I waited 40 minutes to get the car. They claimed they were cleaning it. When I got it, they had simply sprayed the inside and squirted the outside with water. The windshield was filthy, and had bug marks all over it. I had to stop at a gas station to clean the windshield. The GM was extremely stubborn, unhelpful, and unapologetic.

Pros: We were given the car we were promised. The car had added features, like smart cruise control to make the drive safer. Staff were really friendly and helpful.Cons: The gentleman who picked us up in the shuttle from the airport was very friendly. He had a mask on but he kept it pulled down to talk to us. Me and my travel partner are both half-vaccinated, so it didn't bother us THAT much, but it was a little irksome. The masks don't work if they don't cover your nose and mouth as you're breathing and talking.

Cons: The office was closed when we arrived for our 8PM reservation after a long day of travel. After waiting for 20+ minutes at the car rental shuttle stop we were told that SIXT was closed and there was no shuttle. We were at that point without a car to get to our final destination and ended up with a last minute rental from Enterprise. Never again with Sixt.

Pros: The shuttle never even showed up to pick me up for my rental at Philadelphia Airport. After waiting for twenty minutes in the freezing cold, we tried to call (you cannot get ahold of the local office). The main office tried to connect me, but they apparently closed early for the night. So we had to go to Hertz and get s car for the night to get to the hotel. The next day I called to confirm my reservation so I could go pickup the car after work that day, and the central office said, yes that was fine. Then he double checked the system and realized that they had no cars available, including the car that I had already paid for, which should have been sitting there waiting for me! The only positive thing that happened was that the rep at the main office immediately gave me a full refund with no argument. Unreal.

Pros: Staff was working hard and were polite and helpful, but they were stressed out because of the long line and lack of staff for check out. Drop off was easy.Cons: When my shuttle pulled up, there were 30 people in line outside the building and more inside, I waited outside, in the sun on an 85+ degree afternoon. My plans for the first day of my trip were ruined. You knew how many people rented cars that day, why were you not staffed properly? I will never utilize Thrifty/Dollar again at the Philadelphia airport. 100% unacceptable!

Cons: 1. The check in /pick-up was very slow even though we had a reservation. 2. The dollar amount of the taxes in PHL was ridiculously high. Shouldn't this be included in our priceline price so we'll know how much we are paying?

Cons: I spent more time waiting to get my car and leave then I did traveling from Michigan to Philadelphia in an airplane, understaffed, overwhelmed, and overall just a poor experience just trying to get my car, the people who work there were nice, but they were just overwhelmed by the needs of the people trying to rent cars.

Called the location number, banged on the back room door, nothing. Eventually reached a call center rep who told me to do an "after hours drop off" with a drop box.

Cons: Vehicle she could rent me was a smaller sedan at a higher price instead of discounting the price as is customary when renting cars. The agent delivered poor service in addressing my situation. I was further infuriated when I went to the rental lot and saw multiple vehicles that were at least full size sedans.

Pros: The shuttle bus was the dirtiest vehicle I have ever has the displeasure to ride in. The pick up staff was not very friendly. The young lady that helped me would not look at me or have a pleasant conversation with me regarding my rental. She told me that my contract had been emailed to me, however I never received it. She did not give me a reason to return to Budget in the future. The drop off staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially the gentlemen that checked in my vehicle on my return.Cons: The shuttle bus should be retired from your fleet. The young lady could have looked at me and had a conversation with me regarding my rental. Please note, she did her job but it was not a pleasant experience.

Pros: The car was ok.Cons: We waited for 2 hours to pick up a car. We didn’t get our car until 2am, because they were short staffed and Budget was actually closed, so we had to go to Avis to get a car. At drop off we were charged $360 for gas, which has to be an error, and we’ve called 4 times to speak with someone and have been out on hold for over an hour each time, with no resolution. We will NEVER rent from Budget again.

Cons: The car was filthy. Not washed , inside lord ok, no trash or dirty but smells like cigarettes, alot of cigarettes. I went to the dollar store abd bought myself doest air freshener abd window cleaner abd paper towels to clean it myself, after ask we are in a pandemic abd I have to sit in this thing all day. THEN I wanted to extend my rental but it was $57 a day to extend my $42 a day rental..... that's a joke. It should carry the same price. They close 30 minutes after i dopped it off... so instead of making $40 they got nothing. I was told the reason they didn't wash the car was that the Pipes were frozen.... hasn't been that cold. She was the only one there.. She was very polite, seems like they expect too much from her. Very busy. But for$43 ......i was ok with it.

Pros: Staff was incredibly friendly and easy to get the car at drop off and pick up.Cons: Pick Up at airport was much less than the other rental car companies. This company was MUCH farther than many of the other rental car companies and should be advertised as on site of the airport. Many of the other companies you can walk from the terminal to the rental company (and they had vans picking up 3-4x as much as this company) but this was at least a 5-10 minute drive.

Pros: There were no staff. There was no shuttle. No one answered the phone. I finally got some central office which sent me to the Budget rent-a car office which said it did not deal with Payless.Cons: Everything. In the absence of the promised rental car from Payless I had to rent one from Avis. I was lucky to get that and avoid a completely useless trip.

Rental Truck Bed Too SmallPros: The purpose of the rental was to haul a new mattress. It would not fit in the tiny bed. The next size up in pick up truck would have doubled the price. The person working the counter was less than enthusiastic.

Pros: My flight to PHL was late Fri evening and 30th Street Station National office was closed. However, the agent who I called to re-book for the next morning was outstanding, She looked up my old preferred customer (or whatever) number and got me a better deal.Then the next morning at the desk I asked about upgrading to a larger vehicle and the agent gave it me at no increase in cost. Reasons to come back to National.Cons: Car hadn't been washed.

National Car Rental is an AMAZING company to work with!Pros: From the first click on-line, to being greeted at the reception desk to sign-in at the National counter to pick up the rental car....just incredible. Everyone on the National team was top notch in their attention to details, and their customer service: stellar, truly. To the attendant who finalized our transaction paperwork, to the team member who escorted us to our rental car...simply amazing. We were struck by National's competence and we vowed to never use any other service except the best: National. A model company that all others should be measured by...exemplary in every aspect.

Cars Were Smelly Or Unusable/Counter Person Had anCons: My Chrysler 200 had a stain on the driver's seat and the interior smelled. The first car offered was a Nissan that someone had sprayed the gages on the dash with something that had dried and couldn't come off, making them unreadable. The woman at the counter gave me an attitude when she couldn't understand my email address. Never again National Car Rental!

Pros: pricing was one thingCons: . a little seedy. car was not clean inside or out. the rental signing process a little outdated and in an uncomfortable setting. In the end, the pricing was not that much cheaper than the nationals/brand names. The policy about the rental period is strict. severe penalty for dropping off after 24 hour period...so ridiculous that I uber'ed to a couple places after I returned the car. My flight came in early and I picked up an hour earlier than anticipated but was leaving at my expected time 26 hours later. 2 extra hours was double the cost.

Barely worth the slightly older carPros: Slightly cheaper priceCons: Had to call to find out that we wanted the Colonial Airport Parking shuttle after we waited for a while hoping for a Rent-A-Wreck shuttle. Car smelled like cigarette smoke and windows were a bit foggy on the inside. The office wasn't marked The guys at the drop off place weren't particularly helpful with my questions.

Do NOT use this companyPros: Nothing really!Cons: The dispatcher were rude! The van was in need of maintenance - exampke, wipers were old and cracked. It was a big hassle to get into the lot and find the car. The lot attendant was very rude! As my wife concluded, they have ZERO customer service.

Pros: Due to trouble with the mechanics of the car Rent a Wreck is refunding a day's charge. This should be back in account within 3 days, they say.Cons: The muffler came semidetached and it sounded like a street rod. I'm nor sure if this was a safety hazard or not but it wasn't good.

Will not rent from them againPros: I got a rental car on a day when there were almost zero options for rental cars at the airport.Cons: Waited 2 hours to get the reserved car, car exterior was damaged and severely needed washing, and finding the place was tough. It was the worst car rental experience I have had in 20 years.

Ridiculous CompanyPros: Nothing! We never got a car!Cons: They don’t pick up where the other rental car companies pick up for a shuttle. But they also never told us this. So we’re waiting in the freezing cold waiting for a shuttle with our infant son for a while until I finally call customer service. They tell me i need to send a text message to a sketchy number to pick us up somewhere else in the airport! Huh?! So we do that and they never come! Seriously! Never come! We went to Alamo instead that night and they were wonderful. Do not trust this company. They are a scam!!!

Cons: We made reservation on 11/10. Landed at Philly at 5:30pm. Bad experience from first unable to find shuttle location. Waste almost 45mins to get to ez rental car office. Then was told no car available. (There are 3 customers there). Told us can give us ride to other car rental office. But the driver just dropped us back to the airport again. By the time we got car at other car rental lamo it was close to 8pm. Waste More than 2 hours to get reserved car from ez car rental at other car rental almo. What a joke. I could drive from Boston to Philly for same time and save $600 and headache. I will never rent a car from EZ.

Cons: My 1st time using Kayak and will be my last. I gave Kayak a chance and it was a mistake. I needed a rent car in Philadelphia and i booked through Kayak. My travel plans got delayed which caused me to arrive in Philly after 8 p.m. I found out that the EZ rental facility closed at 8pm and i wouldn't be there until 10pm. 8pm is not very late and it completely screwed up my rental plans. Because EZ rental wouldn't allow me to get my car after 8pm i attemped to cancel the kayak reservation and they absolutely would not refund my money despite my unfortunate circumstances. So now I have to pay over $200 for a rental i didn't even use. The worst part is i STILL had to pay to get another car rental elsewhere on top of my Kayak rental. I gave Kayak a chance and I am very disappointed that i did. I wouldn't have any bad feelings if kayak would just refund my money for a rental that i wasn't able to use. When i found out my travel plans were going to be delayed I tried to cancel my rental before it started and still kayak wouldnt work with me. I would understand more if i missed the rental completely but i let them know before i was scheduled to even begin my rental.

Pros: The car worked.Cons: We lost my husbands sister and had to get to De for a funeral, When we arrived there was a line to pick up car. Only one person to take care of the customer. We got taken care of bye a lady. she was doing the best she could being the only one there. we went to the car , looked it over and had no idea how to start the car, we do not have a car that you dont need a key to start. So we had no idea how to start it. we looked it over the car was dirty and I went in to ask for help. As I said she was alone. I asked her if there was anyone to help us she said no just her she would be out in a few minutes. She came out explined you must put your foot on brake to start the car. My husband thought the car ran rough . itdid not feel right we found out that a front tire and a rear tire had only 12 lbs of air in them we put air in them and it was much better. the drop off was bad also . we had a 6 am flight back home she had explained to us we go to a little building and there will be someone to check us back in after hours. when we arrived at 4 am there was no one there so we had to take a ticket to get in and park the car. there as a shuttle coming through at the time so we got on and told him what happened , we ended up giving the keys to him. he assured us he would take care of it. I called later that afternoon and explained what happened and they kinda got nasty about us giving the keys and leaving the car in the wrong spot. she said she would check with the driver. he had returned the key. I received an email all was ell . and it could take up to 21 days to get my deposit back. I will never use this company again. they were ok in the emergency but never again.
