9.6 Excellent
Pros: I forgot what real hotel accommodation was like until I got to Conrad. All was smooth from check in to check out. Amenities and towels were changed and stocked up well. All staff were friendly. No matter the position of the Conrad employee, if you passed them by, they would smile and greet you. Very good on them. The breakfast buffet was also nice. There was such a wide selection to choose from that I didn’t get to go through it all. Would be happy to go back.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location and amazing rooms. The shower took a minute to understand because it had 4 knobs and the TV in the bathroom Murrow was cool as well.
Cons: It’s strange but at least in my room I could hear the kids talking loudly and playing but I wasn’t about to intrude on a family enjoying themselves. But do know you can hear other rooms if they become a little louder than normal.
6.2 Good
Pros: Pool area and the one staff member there was nice. Oh, and the food was top notch. Aside from that, and the facility, I was not impressed. Mostly just frustrating.
Cons: They told us "no" way too many times for any place in the hospitality industry. To be fair, we're not that needy. They're just a bit too strict for their own good. For one, they refused to give us free wifi access until we had reluctantly signed up to be part of the Hilton rewards club. Also, if you like to enjoy the occasional smoke, this place is similar to a hospital in that you will be told to move elsewhere if you're not in the one place they allow smoking.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: very oriented
Cons: Limited on the main lobby.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully designed hotel on Manila Bay. Depending on the room not always the best view but the rooms are comfortable and the staff are great.
Cons: Everything is an additional cost. Even printing out a few sheets of paper.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great ambience with modern amenities. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall a great experience.
Cons: I wish there were more seating at the lobby to fill the huge space. But maybe that's how Hilton properties are laid out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We're world travelers and I must say Conrad is one of the nicest hotels we stayed at.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice view and the rooms are so fabulous especially the Diplomatic Suite. We really enjoyed our stay. Front desk staff and house keeping are so helpful and friendly.
Cons: Service is slow at the lounge in the morning (6/11) We were about to check out and head straight to the airport but decided to have an early lunch around 11am at C lounge, but we cannot even get any service there is no staff (I think I saw only one or two but mostly they are missing so no one is assisting us) and the food took so long to arrive, I asked for toothpick but the staff said they run out of toothpick. When we left so many dirty dishes are on our table and other tables beside us and no one is clearing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is amazing! Great value for money. It is a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the city. Lovely garden, we relaxed by the pool. The room was great, bed and duvet so comfy! Good aircon, good wifi, brilliant hot shower with nice free toiletries. Free tea, coffee and water. The staff were amazing. They arranged a surprise cake for my boyfriend's birthday, they helped us organise taxi's, sort out restaurant bookings and the 24 hour front desk was helpful as we had to check out at 4am. Jay was super friendly and so helpful - thank you! The hotel is also close to the airport - 15/20 minute drive if the traffic is good. Couldn't recommend this place enough.
Cons: Nothing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: So convenient to the airport! Service is attentive, efficient and friendly without being intrusive!
Cons: Manila traffic makes the hotel seem far from Manila central.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you enter, you are transported to another time. There's an unhurried air around the place. Lovely garden, historic home as the centerpiece. Staff is exceptionally well trained and will do their absolute best to accommodate your request. Popcorn at 9pm to munch while watching a movie? You bet. If you want to get out for shows, shopping or sight seeing, you are very near Mall of Asia and Intramuros. Highly recommended.
Cons: The website is very clear on the square footage of each class of room and because it is a historic home that has been converted, I expected the room to be on the small side. However, when I stay again, I'll ask to have a look at the available rooms before I take my key. My room was quite small and that was fine since I was alone. If I had been with a companion, it would have been too small.
7.1 Good
Pros: Rustic and nostalgic look and feel.
Cons: Cleanliness need improvements
5.0 Okay
Pros: The food and staff!
Cons: air con was noisy...room very small...airport noise...kind of a questionable area also...
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Its just like you are in a nearby province, truly a jungle in the City!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I Adore everything.....
Cons: The restaurant could do better........
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel! Located in a compound so you feel very safe and you don't hear the traffic from the street. Nicely renovated with a modern look. Apparently, this was owned by a wealthy chinese family back in the day and they renovated for hotel use. Very nice architecture. Also very close to Mall of Asia and surrounding casinos and restaurants in the Pasay neighborhood.
Cons: Only one entrance to all the rooms from the main area. 4 houses situated in tandem and our room was located in the 3rd house. Since there was only one entrance, the walk to the main gate of the compound made it twice as far. I only stayed a night, so it wasn't terribly inconvenient, but if I was staying a few days or weeks, it would probably get old quick.
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila - Pasay - Building
4
8.6 Excellent (18,562 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is an iconic 5-star luxury resort nestled in an expansive tropical setting close to the largest convention center, theaters, museums, government offices and the Mall of Asia. 5-star accommodation includes 609 rooms and suites with balconies showcasing spectacular views of Manila Bay sunsets. The hotel attracts international and local travelers alike with its signature Filipino brand of hospitality and the French joie de vivre reflected in its service rituals.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing everything is worse from check in to check out. First, my reservation didn't honor the free breakfast. This is the second times I bought from your website that the breakfast is included but when we checkin not invluded.
Cons: The smell of the Carpet and when you're in the swimming pools the smell of the ocean iis horrible. The aircon in the lobby is horrible too.
6.0 Good
Pros: The location was good, breakfast in Spiral includes a massive range of Asian cuisine I really liked. The pool area was a nice place for enjoying Manila sunset. Feather topper in bed was comfy. Lanvin toiletries!
Cons: Weird system of wristbands for entering the pool area. The pool area was so outdated, it doesn't seem clean, sunbeds and parasols are old, smudgy and stinky. Even we chose the luxury room (they said freshly renovated), it was so basic and old-fashioned.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: First Rate Hotel very profesdiinall from room to staff ... grounds are amazing
Cons: Yes Hotel pool water is coldest thing I have ever experienced ! Haha
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the ambiance and I will definitely go back next time
Cons: Almost nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location right on the shore of Manila bay with a wonderful view of the water, especially from the top club floor. Fantastic breakfast and dinner buffet at a renowned Spiral restaurant. Professional, smiling staff always ready to please. Comfortable room with good A/C. Two ATM machines on premises.
Cons: Considering the well established class expected from Sofitel brand this particular facility is slightly dated and ready for an update. It shows in rather dark decor from the seventies, dim corridors or some areas of peeling caulking in the bathroom. Few and inconveniently located charging outlets in the room. For instance, none at all on either side of the bed.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are wonderful. We have a server and he was wonderful, he went out of his way to make our stay special.
Cons: Our room 1123 was deteriorated. The blinds in the bathroom is all bent and the rain shower was not working good, no water pressure at all. I am a bit disappointed cause I have stayed in many Sofitel before in different countries and I was always pleased
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Amazing buffet breakfast. Very good club lounge.
Cons: The hotel is by the sea but there is no beach or access to the sea.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This is an old hotel from the mid-1970s but it's been recently renovated and has an impressive lobby/restaurant area, a nicely decorated bar (with a very nice staff), and good and reasonably spacious rooms. Breakfast choices are outstanding. The pool area is one of the largest and right next to Manila Bay (but don't get too close, still doesn't smell despite supposed cleaning efforts). Most if not all rooms have great bay views.
Cons: There was a slight delay in the check in though the excellent staff were very apologetic about it. The hotel is pretty far away from restaurants and bars - a short taxi ride is needed to get to Malate, a longer one to Makati. But watch out - hotel staff try to force you to take a very expensive hotel car, saying waiting for a cab "takes too long." The hotel is quite pricey compared to some similar five star hotels in Makati that, bay views aside, are better located. Watch out when trying
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Ooohhh the sunset!!!!! Viewing the sunset of Sofitel was memorable for me. I visited several times as a teenager with my family and had always enjoyed it. Now that I am an adult, I visited the sunset viewing with somebody very special to me. The food at Spirals and Le Bar was still the best. Had too many memories there too. I like the fact that its very near seascape the newest complex full of restaurants The security person - a woman was very game to take photos of us by the pool area. Also the receptionist and in charge of checking us in named Kaysser and Jean was very cordial and friendly too. Too bad I was not able to meet Allan of reservations. I will come back again for another sunset escapade and staycation soonest
Cons: My friend was too upset after she talked over the to the person in charge of requests. She was requesting for three pieces of fork and she was declined. What the hell! It was just fork she was asking!!!???? We never had the same issue when we were at Conrad Hotel also for a staycation, hence I rang them up and spoke to the same person. She was able to grant my request and very apologetic after. Actually she sent all our requests after I seemingly blew my top. Many thanks still Lorna!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of service unparalleled Loved breakfast
Cons: Serve wine on 10th floor with lunch
7.0 Good
Pros: Cool place, there is a bar in the swimming pool and that was a lot of fun
Cons: Bait and switch. A lot of extras that wound up costing more than the room itself, it was a huge rip-off. Breakfast, evening perks, etc.
4.2 Okay
Cons: We arrive at 2pm and wait 5 hours for our room, we booked suite room but so bad services. I asked staffs why need wait to take room when we come in time, they just answer: so sorry we overload... so bad services

1.0 Poor
Cons: I prepaid in full for nine nights. Upon checkout I was given a bill for an additional $1,100 pesos. When I asked why, I was told that the rate up after I paid in full and I still had to make it up. I call that extortion. Never stay there.

Cons: I prefer the electric water heater for coffee than the coffee machine in our room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Booked this hotel for the Nth time already. It has been our favorite place to book. As usual, location wise it was near everything. A few minutes drive from NAIA airport, near Malls and with a good view of ocean if you requested for it but this time we tried the city view. Beds are all comfy and the room is all clean with mini fridge. Pool is quite small but will give you a nice view of sunset.
Cons: For the past years we’ve been booking this hotel, all our experience are GREAT! Staff are all nice but for this date, there are some who are quite of attitude, specially their treatment to our companion who is not dressed well. Maybe the saying “dress how you want to be addressed” is quite of a thing to SOME of the staff. Our companion asked on how to connect with the wifi, the answer she got comes with a bit of unfavorable remarks from the female front desk and that made her felt quite bad about.
7.0 Good
Cons: The reception is not conveniently located. The no bedroom sleeper policy during breakfast is not logical, most of the dinners are the in-house guests so do you expect them to wear? The towels were almost gray not white!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff so friendly, clean
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and the room is very clean and they serve hearty delicious home-made meals. Their pancit and lomi are amongst my favorites. If you wish to see the true Manila, this is the place to be, very busy with lots of hole in the wall eateries, flea markets, fast-food chains, hardwares, furniture stores and banks. It is centrally located, from the airport to the metro CBD and bus terminals if you are going to the North or South Luzon. The staff and management is very hospitable, attending to my needs and with utmost care.

Pros: Designated area for smoking. Rooftop
Cons: Elevator stock up.

5.0 Okay
Pros: location of breakfast area is better and breakfast itself is okey. I think overall the eating area and the lounge are not bad but it can be improve more. Room wise not bad with the exception of the bathroom area, hard to mix the cold and hot water, vanity a little bit small. First night in a cocraches running in the room, reported, second day cocrahes in the bathroom and on table, reported. Don't know if ever anything done to it. Overall all I give it two stars.
Cons: did'nt like the bathroom, I'm a person first thing I check for cleanliness, the size and if all thing are working then I can say this hotel is okey or not to recommend a relatives or a friends.Overall
7.5 Good
Pros: Location is great, not far away from airport. Ideal for transit travellers. There is free shuttle bus service to airports but not to terminal 4 (mainly for domestic flights) From the airport to hotel can be challenging. I arrived at terminal 3 and asked around where to catch free shuttle bus to holiday inn. They all told me to the bay 15. Do NOT go there as that’s a taxi waiting area. Then a very kind taxi driver told me that shuttle bus bay is across the road, a very small booth. Spoke to the lady she said it’s a right place but next shuttle bus is an hour away. She suggested I better go inside the airport (through security check) and get up to level 4 and through the overpass bridge to Newport city as they offer free shuttle van service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very accessible in the airport.
Cons: Buffet breakfast needs more improvement, try another sets of foods.
6.0 Good

Cons: Construction related issues
7.7 Good
Pros: Comfortable clean room. Near the Airport. Close to a lot of restaurants.

Pros: Value for money, indeed! The only problem I encountered was during Sat breakfast. They didn't replenish the food quickly. People were in line for a while and the chafing dishes were empty.
Cons: Everything is great. There was just a weird smell emanating from either the lobby or dining area. Other than that, everything was perfect. Value for money!

5.8 Okay
Pros: Location of the hotel.
Cons: Ron (night fd) was inconsiderate. We came from our year end party in smx around from 6pm-1am and asked for the rest of our office mates to stay until 230am so they can just rest a bit and change clothes before they go home. Unfortunately, he kept on saying that it's the hotel policy that only 2 were allowed to stay else we will be charged addtl guest fee of 750 per pax. My office mates had to leave immediately to avoid paying extra. He even said that it's nice of them to allow us to stay til 130am because per hotel policy, we should've been charged already. I don't think it's even necessary to say it that way.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is fairly close to the airport. Good service from the hotel and staff.
Cons: This is what you would euphemistically call a Love Hotel where the rooms can be booked on an hourly basis. The setup is unusual as you walk into a garage area and there is a staircase to your room. I suppose it is a Motel so makes sense. Convenient for the airport which is why a booked it. Stay there if you're planning a tryst. Otherwise probably not suitable for the general traveller.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great ambience with modern amenities. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall a great experience.
Cons: I wish there were more seating at the lobby to fill the huge space. But maybe that's how Hilton properties are laid out.
10.0 Excellent
