the staff was very helpful and allowed us to leave our suitcases in storage as we were early for check-in. the concierge was very knowledgeable and helped us find our way into the old city. the boardwalk by the hotel was very lively and entertaining. the room and the views are spectacular.
Big issue with check out. Could not get our stuff out of the safe . Call hotel service it was very slow . It took over 4 hours to be able to access our personal items . Therefore out check out was delayed by 4 hours This was our anniversary week-end it did not end well
Location to go to my client was good
Rooms are outdated, doesn't have a modern or new feel that a lot of hotels in Philly have
the breakfast, at $20 was overpriced. Cold eggs and French Toast. However, when I brought this to my waiter's attention, he made me an omlet and comped me the breakfast.
The best part of the experience at this property was the staff members. In particular, Mike checked us in and was friendly, professional, and very understanding and helpful in accommodating our room request. We enjoyed a spectacular view of the waterfront, boats, and bridges from our 5th floor room! The valet greeted us warmly when we first arrived and encouraged us to enjoy our stay, and Craig the bartender was friendly, funny, and attentive. The lobby of the hotel is clean, spacious and bright. Our room was also clean and comfortable. This hotel is great if you want to enjoy waterfront and Old City sites and activities.
The only negative item was the bed pillows. Although the mattress was comfortable, the pillows were like boulders-very hard. I realize that items like this are a matter of personal preference and some people may like harder pillows, but it was challenging for me to get comfortable.
