Montreal hotels near Vieux-Port de Montréal

Pros: Rooms are nice and chic, comfortable. A full hair dryer was provided, which you almost never see. Staff was helpful and polite.

Pros: Walking distance to the subway, lower Montreal and the train station was easy access. The room was huge and very clean. The front staff always greeted us and I liked that you had to use a key card for the elevator. The breakfast was filling and decent.

Pros: The breakfast had some nice options, including the famous Montreal bagels. We would've liked to have it available for longer hours, as they stopped serving at 10am. The room was very clean and the service was excellent. The location was also ideal, very central and walkable to Old Montreal.

Pros: Nice modern feel to the property with nice young friendly staff. Pleasant room & quality bedding. Very clean. Complimentary guest laundry which we appreciated. Breakfast was included in booking fee & offered a good selection/variety of food. Great location only 5-10 minute stroll to old town area. Parking easy to find in next block. Would highly recommend & we would stay again.

Pros: Excellent location beside the Basilica of Notre Dame in the old city. Easy walk to Place d'Armes Metro station. Friendly, very helpful staff and an extremely simple, quick check-in process. Welcomed with the impression of being expected. Large luxurious suite with delightful decor. Casement windows that actually opened. L'Occitane products in the bathroom. An iron and ironing board.

Pros: Location was perfect. Right beside Notre Dame and walking distance to everything in Old Montreal. We were upgraded to a larger suite which was lovely. Separate living room with windows that opened on to the garden. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable $

Pros: Hubby gave me a two night stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal for a Christmas present. It couldn’t have been better. We arrived on a Monday and after a bit of difficulty finding a place to park, checked in. The hotel staff were simply amazing. Every one from the cleaning staff to the valet were probably the most accommodating and kind and gave the impression that they really liked their jobs. We were surprised with a room upgrade to a king river view on the fifth floor-#503-ask for it. Ultra clean, very comfy bed, coffee maker in room and good toiletries. A HUGE shower with multiple jets no tub though but that was fine with us. The hotel has a bar pub that serves up pub fare. I had an excellent burger and great thin fries and hubby had the fish and chips. Both were quite large portions and the staff cheerfully accommodated some changes and ommisions. The best part is that the hotel is located centrally in Vieux-Port Port and between Isle de la Commune road and the famous and beautiful Rue St Paul. Fabulous restaurants and shops made it difficult to choose. Parking is off site and costs 25$ per night to self park or $35 for valet parking in a covered garage. We loved every minute in spite of the bone jarring cold and snow.....it just made it more magical. We will definitely be back!
