Pros: The staff was wonderful and super attentive whenever needed. The room was big, modern, and beautiful with a giant bathtub and comfortable king bed. During check in our room included a couple of desserts and a personalized card. It’s only a couple blocks from one of the main streets of Old Town but the street that it is on is quaint and quiet. We loved unwinding each evening with a martini by the fireplace in the library area and the whole lobby area in general is sleek and super attractive. Would definitely stay here again if I make it back up to Montreal.

Pros: My family and I couldn't have been happier staying here. The room was great. Fit the 3 of us just fine. We had a king size bed and the staff brought up a folding twin for my daughter. The bathroom was fantastic. Giant deep tub, glass enclosed shower, and a separate room for the toilet. The bar/lounge/library down stairs was very nice. Their breakfast was fine. The staff was top notch. They are incredibly friendly and so willing to help make your stay memorable. They took care of booking tours, recommending restaurants, and booking our limousine back to the airport. The location in old Montreal couldn't have been better. It's on a quiet little street and just a short walk to everywhere. Next time I go back to Montreal I will be staying here for certain.

Cons: It’s such a small thing to point out and didn’t matter to us at all but the TV had very little channels that worked. The guide had hundreds and it seemed like everyone we chose was an add on service, even fairly basic ones like E!, FX, Lifetime, etc. I do think it’s possible to rent DVDs though to watch something but we didn’t bother because we were out and about most of the time.

Cons: There was an event that night that we wasn't informed of in advance. As the event took over the entire main floor we had to go elsewhere for a drink and dinner. When we returned from dinner, the event was in full swing with lots of people getting pretty drunk. We escaped to our room only to be woken up several times during the night from a lot of noise caused by other guests. Slamming doors, running in the halls, screaming. My wife isn't one to complain so we suffered through it. In reflection, for the price of a single night ($350) I wish I would have pursued a discount or something. In addition, i didn't find the staff overly helpfull in finding nearby parking (I won't use valet as I've had a vehicle damaged in the past in Quebec City). Also I was looking for a Cigar shop and they didn't help at all. I had to find my own locations with my phone.

Pros: Location was perfect for all things in Old Town Montreal; hotel itself was upscale without being pretentious, staff is AMAZING and the room was cozy and spacious. The bed was so comfortable and bathroom was like being at a resort. Adjacent to the cathedral, a 5 minute walk to the metro, 3 blocks away from Rue Saint-Paul and a 15 minute ride to shopping and local nightlife on Rue Sainte-Catherine. If you choose to stay in for the evening, 2 top-notch restaurants, plus a rooftop bar with an excellent view of Montreal. This hotel does it right.

Cons: The gym has no windows and there are no yoga mats available in the gym or for the room. My room had a terrible smell. It was likely as a result of their cleaning solution but it was gross. I did mention it to them but not change or service was offered. If you can get a room with a brick wall or character that's probably better. My room had small windows, big bare white walls, vinyl floors and smelled.

Me and my husband travel a lot and I mean a lot (few trips to Europe and several trips in US) and this was the friendliest staff we have ever experienced. Every single person, we tried to think about anyone who wasn’t and nope-they are all amazing. Our favorite was James (waiter at the restaurant) such nice and very knowledgeable gentleman.

Cons: They do not offer water to those who take the basic room and you cannot even request for them to bring the water to your room and charge you for it. I've never been to a hotel that did not have complimentary water and to refuse me offering to pay extra to have it brought to my room. The valet service is expensive and extremely slow. I ended up getting my car myself. If you use the valet service request your car a long time before you plan to leave.

At room 311 the toilet took some time to work(I had to fix it by jiggling the flapper). There was no instructions on the phone at room 311 on how to contact main desk. I called the local hotel number and front desk did not know how the phone worked to call front desk.

Wasn't the most quiet room ... the hotel seems to be empty we did not see any others guess and they have a loudge nicely decorated but when we went to sat and enjoyed a drink there price was crazy... so we went somewhere else.. samething for breakfast was nobody eating ... it s seem to me they catch your eyes with the pics and when they got your cash you screw and will paid a fortune for anything extra witch it s a shame for a big hotel like this .. i had a promo room so didn't paid regular price but other wise cheaper room was almost 180$ plus parking... no pool no sauna or hot tub so quite an expensive place.

Pros: Everything! The location could not be more perfect, as the hotel is located downtown, directly across from the opera and the contemporary art museum. The room was immaculate and boasted an incredible view. The staff were well-dressed and polite.
Cons: The hotel connects to an underground shopping mall, which is excellent except that when one of the elevators from the mall to the lobby broke, it remained broken for days. This reflected poorly on the hotel, but it was unclear whose responsibility it was.

Cons: 1. 45+ minutes to check in. To hear some guests had to wait 2 hours after check in to have their room ready. Missed our dinner reservations as it wasn’t ever an experience to have a 45 minute line to even reach the front desk. 2. 1:30am “mysterious” thudding and shaking in the room. Security nor front desk staff can explain. Sounded like the room above had someone running around and moving furniture. Bed would shake, glass cups would rattle. Security came to the room to experience it. No explanation. Communication between security, front desk and us was not great. We had to do the follow up twice. We were Offered to switch to a downgraded room. Told at 2am after packing and heading to front desk to get new room keys there is no explanation. Also did not offer any compensation at that time to me who had the booking in my name. We also requested management contact us in the morning. No management contact. 3. Wake up to head to the pool, second staff interaction was house keeping stopping us right after stepping out of the room to ask when we were checking out and we said 12pm. She asked if she could start the room now. We stated no as everything was out and about in the room as we would be coming back to change and get ready. The logic of prepping a room prior to the previous guest check out is repulsive. Makes me second guess standards. What if I crawled into the bed again. Or showered. Or anything that could require another full room clean. Why do it twice? Then to get to the pool area, swamped with sandals as a trip hazard to exit to the outdoor pool. No where to hang robes or towels in the cold weather. Ice everywhere. Witnessed several people fall, and no flinch from a life guard. Salt, mats or heated tile should exist in an environment that has a consistent outdoor pool. 4. The check out process was second to pleasant. The staff we dealt with was kind. But still no manager contact after we brought all the concerns up.

After negotiation, switched the room. Better. However noticed that every time, if you want to change the room temperature you must call front desk. It’s terrible. The remote in room is locked by hotel. Customer even don’t allowed to adjust the room temperature by themselves willing.

Cons: I couldn’t sleep all night long because of noisy guests - a junior hockey team on our floor. They were even playing games in the corridor, slamming doors, jogging in the corridors. The receptionist whom I called for help wasn’t of any help. At that point it was 2 am. Then the alarm went off (triggered by these young kids!) It’s hard to tell how much stress I experienced that night. Not sure I will be using this hotel in the future.

Pros: hotel was in a perfect location. Two minute walk from the Basilica, five minute walk from the old port, right across the street from the metro line stop, and I need direct bus route to the plateau, mile and, and other neighborhoods that we wanted to see

Pros: The location can’t be beat! The room was very clean and the bed SUPER comfortable!
Cons: The front desk staff isn’t going to do you any favors. Period. The 2nd level reception is weird and the reception level has a weird flow.

Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. All spoke English well. Centrally located between Old Montreal and downtown shopping. Leave your car in the underground parking and walk everywhere.

Pros: Nothing, there was nothing to like about this hotel.
Cons: For that price it was like staying at a Chinese motel. Lobby looked nice that was it. Rooms, a rat hole looks better. Bathroom well I will not describe because people might throw up. Also if you going to run a hotel on Canadian/French soil, at least make sure one of your employees speaks english. I felt like I was in another country. No English.

Pros: The courtesy of the staff, their attention to details and their desire to satisfy the needs I expressed (ie: come back to my room at lunch on my last day ('till 2:00 pm) although I had already checked out, to rest as I was feeling sick that morning). This was very appreciated!

Pros: Location is great! Although in China town, hotel is located between old Montreal port and the main shopping street (Rue St. Catherine), 10 min walk to each location. Free Wifi. Good breakfast selection. Helpful reception.
Cons: Rooms are spacious but dated (8th floor). Breakfast personnel is not friendly, service charge was automatically included the second day.

Cons: The staff used mannerisms/smiled, however, it wasn't sincere. While eating breakfast, workers started cleaning, they sprayed cleaner by where I was eating, making the air smell & my food taste like cleaning products. Also, short staffed when checking
