Excellent 10.0
Pros: JR my host was wonderful He prepared me a specialized vegetarian breakfast paying close attention to my diet preferences. The space was cozy and clean and the location was perfect close to restaurants and the metro. It was located a short walk from my meeting location which was ideal. Especially enjoyed JR's stories about the history of Gite Ocoin and his family connections. Overall a great B & B choice when visiting Montreal.
Cons: Everything exceeded my expectations. Nothing to flag for improvement.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jean was an amazing host. When we arrived, he gave us the tour of the place. Told us the backstory of the band and why he started it. Right from the get go he pulled out a map and gave us tons of amazing reccomendations to the city. Breakfasts were wonderful and the room was cozy and comfortable. Beautiful experiece. Lived every minute of it.
Cons: Loved every minute of our stay. It was an exceptional experience!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: JP was an excellent host and very knowledgeable and funny.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 9.6
Pros: Our host JR is a terrific person , friendly, cheerful & very accommodating. The room was very clean, the shower water hot , the bed comfortable & the breakfast delicious.
Cons: A little to far to walk to the city’s cultural attractions ( just take an Uber )
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Brilliant!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent. It was a pleasure talking with our host, JR. He gave us a map of the city and helped us with subway and bus routes to take to the park and Old Town. He also gave us dining options for dinner.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Jean Rene is a wonderful host and welcomes you with enthusiasm and endless knowledge of Montreal! The accommodations are excellent and the food is fantastic.....a wonderful stay!

Good 7.0
Pros: The location was perfect as it was close to the village and the Metro.
Cons: The comforters and extra blankets had stains on them.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved the place. Very clean Great location, close to subway station, walking distance to Old Montreal. The concierge is a lovely person.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was great. Everything was provided and you made what you wanted. Location is excellent. About 3 minute walk to St Catharines St. and the Metro.
Cons: Nothing could have been better. Our host was amazing and so was our entire stay.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Le Cartier Bed and Breakfast was a perfect place to stay to see Montreal. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and even though it’s close to everything it is very quiet. Great place at a great price. Highly recommended!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm welcoming, great location, beautiful design and art work, clean and provided all neede to stay comfortable
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The hosts are really friendly and nice. They texted me offering instructions before I arrived. Very warm place, close to metro station. There are coffee, tea and pastries.
Cons: Nothing!
Good 7.0
Pros: Because it was a BNB, I was expecting a served, hot breakfast. But, we were only provided a continental breakfast. The location was good, but on the website it said that there was parking. There is not any designated parking, except parking on the street, which you had to plan around. That added stress to our stay.
Cons: The mattress was not comfortable, and the pillows were flat. The washroom was so tiny. It even had a split door which was tricky to close. There was no room to put anything in the bathroom. They could make the bathroom bigger by taking up room in the room adjacent to it.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Soundproof walls and window, aircon, breakfast (it`s really hard to find a stay with breakfast during this freaking covid time), backyard.
Cons: There is not enough light in the room in my taste, but my husband wouldn`t confirm. It`s just my taste. Rather strange bed, as pillows lay on a shelf, but it didn`t bother us in sleep. We definitly will stay there again and recommend this place to our friens.
Good 6.0
Pros: Location and the room was well appointed. It was great having the walkout to the beautiful courtyard. That was amazing. The owner was great.
Cons: The room was not as clean as it could have been and the bed was rock hard. Not what I am accustom to.

Okay 4.0
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Staffs were not welcome. They didn’t even explain Covid-19 policy. Room was not clean. There was hair on the floor. We just paid lots of money to stay at room.
Excellent 9.0
Cons: Covid restricted us from enjoying everything the hotel offers. Great location and staff friendly and accommodating also
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It was so close to everything, our room was super clean and the bed was very comfy
Cons: The elevators werent working, however they had someone help you carry your luggage to your room and when you check out :)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Beautiful and charming old building with great facilities and staff. Late check out was a great bonus!
Cons: The construction or early cleaning in a room above us in the morning wasn’t fun, as well as early morning calls despite the do not disturb sign made us unplug the phone.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: The stain marked ceiling (Rm 403), and the shower faucet nozzles coming apart...loose.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff was amazing! All the employees we had contact with (bellboys, receptionists and housekeeper) were helpful at all times and always had a smile on their faces. It was a real pleasure to deal with them, even when we had a complaint. The location of the hotel is unsurpassable. The room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the tree-lined street and the port. We loved being in Old Montreal, walking around, trying out different restaurants and also visiting the archaeological museum (well worth a visit).
Cons: Unfortunately, the mattress was awful on the first night and bad on the second, after it was switched. This may be a matter of personal preference, but for us it was too soft and lumpy. This was really disappointing as everything else was perfect.
Excellent 9.0
Cons: A bit noisy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The decor with the stone and wood was gorgeous
Cons: I would have liked a couple of actual coffee cups instead of demitasse in the room and actual hot instead of tepid coffee available downstairs with a ready supply of cream.
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect old port location and great rooms
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were especially helpful in identifying restaurants and bars to visit.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Hubby gave me a two night stay at the Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal for a Christmas present. It couldn’t have been better. We arrived on a Monday and after a bit of difficulty finding a place to park, checked in. The hotel staff were simply amazing. Every one from the cleaning staff to the valet were probably the most accommodating and kind and gave the impression that they really liked their jobs. We were surprised with a room upgrade to a king river view on the fifth floor-#503-ask for it. Ultra clean, very comfy bed, coffee maker in room and good toiletries. A HUGE shower with multiple jets no tub though but that was fine with us. The hotel has a bar pub that serves up pub fare. I had an excellent burger and great thin fries and hubby had the fish and chips. Both were quite large portions and the staff cheerfully accommodated some changes and ommisions. The best part is that the hotel is located centrally in Vieux-Port Port and between Isle de la Commune road and the famous and beautiful Rue St Paul. Fabulous restaurants and shops made it difficult to choose. Parking is off site and costs 25$ per night to self park or $35 for valet parking in a covered garage. We loved every minute in spite of the bone jarring cold and snow.....it just made it more magical. We will definitely be back!
Cons: Offsite parking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Housed in an old port building, the modernized property combines the best of the old with contemporary updates. Riverfront views with the attractions of the Old Port just a block away, it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. We stayed for a long weekend as the season was just winding down and thought the setting was romantic, service was delightful and amenities just right.
Cons: The walls were a bit thin, we could hear our neighbors clomping around in heels and could very easily hear conversation. This was all Day time stuff and didn’t have interrupted sleep at all.
Okay 4.0
Pros: Convenient location for walking.
Cons: There was a line at the check in/out desk. ONE employee, and she was sitting the entire time. Both when i checked in and out. There is ONE elevator, which was always so packed and with a line that the only time i used it was to carry our bags up to the room. Its noisy as hell there, 3am noisy as hell. The thermostat wouldnt work. Had something written on the knob to adjust the temps, but we were sweating to death all night, and into the morning. Roll away bed was not comfortable. And all this for nearly $500 US dollars a night?
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Unique architecture (we had a floor to ceiling beam in the middle of our room tastefully painted to match the decor) and the food was great. Location exceptional for exploring Old Montreal. All in all a very nice experience.

Pros: Very stylish and well located. Staff friendly.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location, well-equipped kitchenette. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: There are no lifts and we had to climb steep stairs
Good 7.0
Pros: The rooms of the loft are gorgeous, the location is great. The service is impeccable.
Cons: For the price, no breakfast included.... I spent the week in a cheaper hotel, the location was less pristine but the breakfast was really amazing. Also, the isolation isn't great and I could hear the music from the restaurant downstairs.
Excellent 9.4
Cons: The lofts- I was informed via email following my prepayment of my three night stay- doesn't include daily housekeeping. This isn't the biggest issue, but there's no going down to the lobby for breakfast- the lofts are in a separate building. On the upside, the room is more like a large studio apartment. The room is well appointed and the kitchen is thoughtfully and thoroughly stocked. Though there is no minim-bar or snacks, there is a full-size frig, stove, cookware, etc.,etc. Overall, it's an excellent value.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a great stay! the lofts are really nice, spacious, clean and have everything you need. The location is just perfect, right in the center of old Montreal and the staff is super friendly! Would stay here again!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent location, friendly and professional staff.
Good 6.0
Pros: The staff was helpful from beginning to end.
Cons: My partner was asked for payment upon arrival although I had called to indicate that he would arrive first and I would be the one checking in. The room was tiny and had no bathtub. Staff from the restaurant came all the way in to deliver our room service, a bit intrusive I found. Before leaving, the waiter had offered to verify if an upgrade of the room would be possible, getting our hopes high, before calling back and apologizing for not succeeding.
Good 7.0
Pros: Check-in process was smooth, toiletry selection is a nice touch. Great location!
Cons: Rooms are small, floor appears to be a bit dusty.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was great and the staff was super nice.
Cons: I was a little disappointed there was no hot tub.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The hotel upgraded our room, the hotel room was very spacious, the TVs were very modern and nice (allowing us to sign into our Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts), the swimming pool was a nice depth for our six year old, and the croissants with the breakfast were very delicious. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The lighting in the room was not quite bright enough, the breakfast sandwich with ham, egg, and cheese was not very delicious (too salty), the carpets in the hotel are a bit ugly.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great stay at Springhill Old Montreal. Friendly staff, nice rooms and well located. Breakfast was even included. We will be back soon!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: location, balcony included
Cons: pool was not clean
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff were very friendly Room was clean Good location
Good 6.0
Pros: Breakfast is a bit disappointed, the website didn't point out they no longer serve hot breakfast. A cold bagel and a muffin to start the day make my holiday so sad.
Cons: the staff are friendly
Good 7.0
Pros: Springhill location is awesome! Beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Cons: Tub had mold. More toiletries, kitchen towel and ice cube tray would help.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location. Wow. Amazing. A couple minute walk to Old Port and all the historical walk stops. Couldn't ask for a better location and having underground parking down there was so handy. And other than the pool incident, service was great.
Cons: Staff didn't track our pool booking properly and never followed up so missed our time to swim. The kids and I were very disappointed about that. During Covid, there was little else available so this was important. I would recommend people get time in writing and confirm later a few hours before. We were told 9:30 pm and for some reason we were put to 7:30 pm. No one rang our room when we weren't there at 7:30 pm even though we were the only ones. Only one family at a time and you had to get key from front desk and bring key back for next family. And the suites are not actual suites. There is a mini fridge, sink, and microwave but not a kitchen per say that many suites have
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is right in the middle of Old Montreal, with great places to walk all around. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, even remembering my name the next day without looking.
Cons: Hallways showing signs of wear. Rooms could be more updated and modern for this star level. Parking was convenient in the garage, since the area is difficult to park in, but not cheap.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Super clean room, amazing friendly and helpful staff! 🙏🏻🙏🏻. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks
Okay 5.0
Pros: The location, the friendly staff and the price we paid. Our room was ready so we were able to check in early. The room itself was nice, with Paul Mitchell products which I really enjoyed.
Cons: Pool was in terrible shape with chipped paint all over the bottom. I almost cut my foot. NO HOT TUB EVEN IF ADVERTISED.I was disappointed. With Covid, certain things were out of their control, like free breakfast buffet was replaced by breakfast in a bag.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff and a convenient location.
Good 6.0
Pros: The location is excellent. Staff were polite and helpful. Easy walk to numerous restaurants and attractions. The included breakfast was quite good and had many protein choices. There was believably priced parking very close by.
Cons: The building and it's condition are average. The drain in my bathroom sink was stuck in the closed position. Parking offered by the hotel is way overpriced. Lots of "city" noise came in to the room starting before 6am.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy.
Cons: n/a

Excellent 10.0
Good 7.0
Pros: location is excellent
Cons: room heater was too loud, room needed updating, especially the bathtub.
Okay 4.0
Pros: The location was excellent and the breakfast was fantastic.
Cons: Due to a heat wave, the air conditioning wasn't working. We were sent to a different hotel for one night and then asked to come back to this hotel for the second night. Incredibly inconvenient when trying to navigate downtown parking and luggage movement.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Location was fantastic. Staff was extremely helpful and everything was very clean. I found the bed to be very comfortable
Cons: The heater/air conditioner unit was extremely loud. I had a hard time sleeping the first night. At first it seemed to blow cold air. As the temperature got better though the noise didn't. These types of things don't ususally bother me. If they are a constant drone, it is white noise. But, this would turn off for about 5 seconds at a time and then blast on again, startling me each time. I don't think anything was broken, and the termperature was comfortable, but the noise was pretty insane.
Okay 5.4
Pros: good location
Cons: very noisy window ac unit that was annoying which made it hard to sleep

Excellent 9.3
Pros: Owner(?) was very friendly and flexible with us overall; went a bit extra to make our stay comfortable. Nice room, had everything we wanted and could expect at a chain hotel. This is a very small place, only a handful of rooms, so it was quiet and pleasant. Glassware and misc for drinks in the atrium, lovely back patio for working or relaxing, and it's conveniently a block or two (off the beaten path) from the start of a major dining/nightlife area. Oh, and breakfast was a meal voucher for this amazing cafe at the entrance to that area and was probably the best 'hotel breakfast' any of us had ever had
Cons: Only one set of keys per room meant we had to really coordinate for our group of 4, but it wasn't that bad

Excellent 9.0
Pros: I like about the property that is closer to downtown and old Montreal the staff was very kind gave us instructions of how to get around and let us bring our bikes inside the room. Also we were able to park our car at the property and it was very safe as well.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Super friendly stuff. Because of Covid you need to call in advance. You pay what you get. It's a nice hotel with elevator, air con, a comfy bed a TV, and a fridge in the room, i loved their pillows. There are three floors and a public area on the third floor with a microwave. The location of the hotel is convenient - close to convenient stores, metro, groceries, and you do get a parking (they will tell you where to park). Overall I liked my cute room.
Cons: The bath was kinda small, with one small towel, and generally inside is kinda old, there are stains on the bed sheet and I found hair on the pillow... but the sheet smelled fresh so I slept on where looked "clean".
Okay 5.0
Cons: There was not heating in the room. Washing basin drain line was clogged.
Good 7.0
Pros: Simple room, good sanitary on the hall, great service, location is good, easy to reach.
Cons: No staff on site, every service is handle by phone, Can be better on cleaning the room, the shower had some trace on the wall of sexual intercourse...
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I love the room Ambiance. Tho the whole property is under renovation
Good 7.0
Cons: no microwave
Good 6.0
Pros: Coffee was great and staff friendly.
Cons: Thought we would be on the St Lawrence River with view from the deck. Could not see the river. Currently lots of construction in area so did not venture downtown where a lot of the attractions were. If comfortable riding bus this hotel would be good value
Good 7.0
Pros: breakfast is good. room with two beds.
Cons: parking is limited during snow storm. might not have enough parking spaces. the room next to the road, and the window seems not good sound proof..
Excellent 8.5
Pros: I loved the quaint and charming atmosphere of this hotel. The owners are very hospitable and helpful.
Cons: The street noise if you stay at the room facing the street.
Good 6.0
Pros: Small quaint rooms - very old but clean, hot showers, comfortable beds, perfect for single traveler on a budget, good jogging trail, close to St. Lawrence river
Cons: Room very small for two adults, breakfast was just toast, cereal, coffee and juice, parking was very tight, Monday to Friday cannot park in front of hotel from 7:00 - 9:00 am, very industrial part of city

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The beds are comfortable and the televisions were modern. Very clean with daily housekeeping service available if you want it. The location is wonderful - close to the SAQ, Metro grocery, Papineau Station, and within walking distance to Old Montreal. The hotel is also situated within the east border of The Village. One of my favourite places is just steps away - a cute cafe called La Mie Matinale serving up baguette sandwiches, daily soups, homemade pastries, and excellent coffee.
Cons: There are some shady characters in the hotel, but they are harmless. I have never felt endangered when I stayed there.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice setup
Okay 5.0
Pros: They had breakfast. You get what you paid for. They could do better with cleaning as sheets had stains. The whole place smelled like cigarettes. Because of COVID, there are very few travelers so we saw only drug addicts in the property.
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing. Coffee, Juice, leftover croissant and muffin. They didnt have enough food..
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I'm very easy going, I adored it
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything was clean and the staff were helpful and nice. The room was perfect for the price paid, and there was breakfast, which was nice.

Good 6.0
Pros: I enjoyed da spa
Good 6.0
Pros: Staff is very nice and helpful. Near Subway. Walk distance to main events
Cons: Facility outdated
Mediocre 2.5
Cons: very rude staff
Poor 1.0
Cons: The bed in room 25 had bed bugs and I came away with several bites on my body. Also there was no closet in room 25 and not even hooks to hold clothes.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location, closed to the subway & bus station.
Cons: Shower door is hard to close.
Okay 5.1
Pros: Room was somewhat clean but you get what you pay for. Located only 2k from old Montreal.
Cons: They rent by the hour! A hooker asked if she could use our room because the hotel was full at the time AC stopped working at 1am and the widows don’t have screens. The AC also dropped into the room but don’t worry they have a garbage can to catch the water. There is very limited street parking after 6pm but we were warned by the hotel it wasn’t very safe. Park at own risk
Good 7.7
Pros: The location is right off the main strip of St Catherine - however the room was clean and the owners were wonderful. If you're simple and easy to please, this place can save you money and it's not that bad of a compromise at all.
Cons: There can be some shady looking individuals that are contstantly askin for change on the steps of the place. There where a couple mosquitos in my room upon arrival. The AC unit is a movable ground unit that connects to the only window in the room. Door to the bathroom would not close.

Pros: The location
Cons: Not clean, very loud outside, old
Good 7.0
Pros: I liked the antique milieu, and ancient walls.
Cons: The television set complicated, and the instruction difficult.
Poor 1.0
Pros: very good location nothing more
Cons: clean
Poor 1.0
Cons: Disgusting, bedding had stains. Sheets had dark hair everywhere. Bathroom had urine stains on wall. 1 roll of toilet paper. No one there at front desk, only there for check in and check out. Charged us an extra 24$ for a “night tax” and then 20% tax. Was supposed to be 140 and came to 191. He refused to refund us the extra 24$, said it was bookings fault and to email them. Super unhappy, worst stay and super expensive for an absolute dump.
Okay 4.0
Pros: If you're looking for your cheapest option to stay in Old Montreal look no further. But beware that you will not wake up rested and r
