Pros: We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very innovative with electronic check-in and room controls. We loved the shower! The food was delicious and staff were friendly and courteous. We like how the various spaces for relaxing, reading, meeting, and computer use sort of `unfolded' as we explored the first two floors of the hotel.

Bar - cafe - canteen was modern and exciting, with a well curated bar selection and good food. Good views from 6th floor and up.
Despite the bar being busy well into the night, we were not disturbed in our room by noise or light pollution.

Cons: Difficulty in dropping off bags - no apparent place to stop car for that purpose. Parking was a bit far but ok.

Cons: Wakened at 4am by other guests on the 6th floor and had to call in a complaint. Didn't sleep again which wasn't ideal as I was down in Glasgow for a business meeting the whole of Monday and felt really tierd. Not impressed!

The dining room and bar area were spacious and clean. The executive lounge was an added bonus nice and relaxing away from the hustle. The staff were very efficient and couldn't do enough.

The facilities too were fabulous. Planning a trip back in the not too distant future with my mum. I wouldn’t shop around either- this is my ‘go to’ hotel.

Cons: Better information regarding breakfast times / executive lounge etc thought that information would be in the room. However had to go back to front desk to ask about these and was told no information would be in the rooms regarding this. When booking in this should be relayed to the customer.

Cons: The leisure facilities could definitely use some renovations. The changing rooms, steam room, and general pool/leisure area were not very clean. The Jacuzzi was not working when we first arrived, though it was available for our last day. I would definitely consider staying here again if these facilities are improved.

Cons: The bathroom was small, the shower was over the bath which made it tricky to access (the side of the bath was very high). The bath was very narrow and there was a rail on the wall, both of which made it difficult to stand comfortably under the water. The water itself kept running hot and cold.

Cons: Rooms were noisy. The 2-room apartment meant that the 2 rooms were individually small and cramped. We had 2 apartments and they were different sizes as well. Noisy bar below did not help and the heating system was noisy. Ask for non-street side.

Cons: The two single rooms we booked were very small with no air conditioning. The one upholstered chair was thread-bare. With the window open for fresh air the traffic noise was unbearable.
The hotel has a very rigid no refund policy so be very careful when paying up front.
We would not stay at the Grand Central again nor would we recommend it to our friends.

Cons: The room felt like a nice hostel, not a 4 star hotel. This location is 2 blocks from the nightclub scene so it was very loud with people shouting on the streets and cars revving their engines. The water closet was very plain and the toilet paper quality poor. There is no pool/whirlpool/jacuzzi. We booked this room at a discount rate, thankfully. Had I paid full price, I would not have been happy with the full-rate and the quality of hotel. This is more like a 2 star hotel.

The bed was comfy there is plenty of storage/hanging space for clothes. The restaurant was adequate for snacks and breakfast but we ate out for dinner. Bonus to have onsite parking and the Hotel is brilliant for access to SECC and Armadillo. We had a walk along the Clyde, the main shopping area is 20-25 mins walk. Unfortunately the weather was really wet and stormy so we could not enjoy the outdoor terrace area, but I am sure it would have been nice on a dry day. Thank you we will be back.

Cons: The bathroom light in the shower is motion sensing, but it doesn't sense your motion in the shower. So the lights turn off on you about every 2 minutes and you have to get out in the dark and make motion. Not the safest. Also the shower drained poorly so it would overflow if I didn't shut off the water. I actually had to switch rooms when I first got there. The first room had mosquitoes, and smelled musty. The place was cheap, but maybe too cheap.

Pros: It was clean and the staff where friendly.
Cons: We had a disabled room. There was no tea or coffee in the room it is provided (free) 2 floors down at reception. If you need an accessible room then you have difficulty moving any distance. This makes getting a drink impossible if you don't have a carer with you. Whilst able-bodied customers would have no problem with this system it made it very difficult for us. The car parking was excellent although the post stating disabled bay blocked the boot and access to the wheelchair! and there where plenty of places to eat near by.

Cons: The area outside Glasgow Quay was somewhat rough in places and not somewhere you'd what to venture out at night. The car park was quite gloomy with no apparent CCTV, one section was closed and in complete darkness. The whole system with accessing the hotel from the car park was also quite inconvenient.

Pros: The price was what we were looking for.
Cons: The rooms were extremely small, almost claustrophobic. You needed to pay for every single additional item that you wanted. Pay extra for the remote, WIFI, towels, and even for your room to be cleaned. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and I was afraid to even sleep in it because of the just general uncleanliness I felt in the room. This room is only suitable for younger couples or singletons with minimal luggage/baggage.
