Breakfast was ok. Excellent location. Majority of staff very friendly. Lovely bar staff.
Unfortunately our room was not up to standard. There was big damp patches on the ceiling and stains on the lamp shade next to the bed. Half the electrical sockets didnt work so we were working off the one that was working for hair drying/straighteners and phone charging. We arrived very early, about 10.30am so we weren't expecting to get in our room then. That was fine we left our bags and were told to come back at 2pm as our room would be ready then. We did a bit of shopping then by 2pm we were fit to drop so we headed back to the hotel only to be told our room would be another hour. Now, they knew we were there waiting since 10.30 so why not make sure our room was ready for 2pm as was stated. A little disappointed with that. I wouldnt stay again.
Old furniture Dated
It was a twin room casters on bed. Moved every time you sat on the bed had to put bed up against the wall so it didn’t move breakfast was ok but if having the cook breakfast don’t go get toaste at same time by time you get back to the table your breakfast is cold
I booked this hotel for my elderly mother who was visiting Glasgow on her own. She had stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it so we booked it again. She said this stay was also terrific, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the location is brilliant for sightseeing and the breakfast was great. She would certainly recommend it as a great base for a visit to Glasgow.
Very tired hotel, rooms old fashioned and dated, overpriced
